I remember a little ways back there being (I wanna say WCT) a company having their own titles for figures that included changeable sideplates being shown at a panel. Has it ever been brought up when it'd be released?

WTC had belts but I don’t remember side plates. They were those old sh**ty Jakks straps tho so they’ll break after like an hour of use

Yeah I remember WCT showing off some scale championship belts. Don't recall seeing anything about interchangeable side plates. Maybe the company backed off on them when Mattel cleared the way to produce the ASR again...? Found them in the Toy Fair 2019 thread. Indeed weird we haven't heard anything else about these yet. They were shown alongside the pop-up stages and those Micro Maniax figures, which RSC have had for months. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/357226/official-fair-2019-mattel-discussion

I'm hopeful we'll get to see some updated photos and more details soon. These titles look promising.

If that's them in the pictures, I got the impression from the packaging and such that they'd skew a fair bit larger than a figure sized belt...like, they'd fit, but would probably look comically large.

Man I sure don't miss jakks titles... They were brutal. The straps were hard plastic, 5 feet long on the end, and they broke easily. Also they didn’t always have all the side plates

Man I sure don't miss jakks titles... The thing i love about Jakks titles, is the level of detail in the sculpt of them. Their World Heavyweight Title and Undisputed Title are unmatched. If Jakks plates with colour were on Mattel straps, that'd be perfect

Some are still missing plates (wwf title), some are not long enough to fit around figures and like you said here some don't have as much sculpt detail. I actually still prefer the jakks WHT over mattel's. I love the 1 of 100 diecast belts they made.

God why did we ever like Jakks? lmao Because Mattel WWE Championship Title Belts weren't made yet. Mattel is better than Jakks. There are very few exceptions, but if you compare every Championship Title Belt that both companies made, I'd say 88% of the time, Mattel is better, and 12% of the time, Jakks is better. As far as these new Wicked Cool Toys figure sized Championship Title Belts are concerned, I'll get them all if I see them, but they're not at the top of my wish list right now.

Not a fan of the zip tie straps but if the plates are compatible with Mattel then I’ll be interested. Especially the big gold belt with no WWE logo.

Why can’t either company make a smaller mold for the women’s titles? WWE makes ugly W titles so brand is everywhere, and Mattel can cut corners and reuse a WHC for 4 different titles....
