I'm shocked I didn't see a thread on this yet. Apparently Mauro deleted his Twitter and Instagram after Graves said for him to let Beth and Nigel speak at TakeOver and stop with with the Chicago talk.
So I am guessing Mauro didn't lose his voice for Survivor Series, but was just depressed and couldn't handle being there. That's too bad, but Graves did have a point. Mauro can be a bit too much with his commentary at times.

Mauro does talk a lot but Nigel also has a tendency to ramble and not let anyone talk. There was a period of time where I forgot Percy Watson existed.

Graves, knowing that Mauro lives with a more severe than not bipolar diagnosis, as a coworker, chose to hurl sleights against his person at a time when Mauro had publicly stated that he was in the midst of a struggle with his mood/emotions.
Graves is a dick. Worth discussing, but not exactly earth shattering news.

Corey Graves just seems extremely unlikeable. reeks of douche I struggle with him a lot because, overall, I feel like he's mostly good at what he does, and when he's on, he can be quite entertaining. Unfortunately, he kind of falls into that weird realm of performers whose work I really enjoy with a slight level of discomfort, knowing that the person behind that work (in an industry where there's still even the slightest blur to that line) is completely insufferable.

Two announcers who aren't good fighting over who's less good. Graves tweet was pretty innocent, he didn't name Mauro by name and wasn't overly harsh.
Graves had no reason to post it, Mauro should not be on twitter.

Why does Mauro need to be handled with kid gloves? If he can't handle a tweet I'm not sure how he handles every day life.
Mauro sucks anyway so I'm glad I didn't have to hear him during Survivor Series.

Mauro sucks anyway so I'm glad I didn't have to hear him during Survivor Series. I mostly agree with this. If Graves was harsh, or made the comment about anything else, then maybe I'd have more sympathy for Mauro. But if you're going to delete twitter and go home over a critical tweet then you probably shouldn't be on twitter. It'd be nice if no one bothered him but there's no guarantee of that. As someone who lives with and works with mental illness it's unrealistic of me to expect everyone to always keep that in mind in regards to everything. Mauro should probably work on some strategies to better deal with negativity. Graves should stay off twitter too, and he's not in any position to criticize anyone elses work when he also stinks at it.

the thing about this is that we all know Mauro has had problems with depression/anxiety. as someone who's experienced both, sometimes you're head is just not in the right place.
that being said, Graves was absolutely 100% just in "gimmick" with his tweets. it wasn't supposed to be this super personal ATTACK at Mauro. the fact that Mauro took it to the next level is unfortunate. maybe we dont all know what goes on behind the scenes, but i sincerely doubt Corey was "attacking" Mauro in REAL life.
all in all its a dumb thing, that people will forget in a week.

On one hand, you can't realistically always know what's going to set someone off if their head isn't in the right place, but on the other, if you go out of your way to antagonize someone in a way that you know will set them off, then you're being a dick.
Perhaps being an entertainer may not be the best job for someone who has proven that they have problems with letting people get into their head. I can't believe that anything Graves has said is any more vicious than that which some "fans" could say. I mean seriously, we've all seen how downright vile some people can be on the internet.
Or, maybe it's just better if Mauro stays off Twitter if that's the real issue. Reading about yourself can suck if you're not prepared for it.
After all is said and done, maybe Graves just doesn't like Mauro and goes out of his way to needle him. Do we know that Mauro hasn't been an ass to Graves while at work? It could be that the two don't click. I know I've had antagonistic relationships with co-workers before.

As also Bipolar, I hope Mauro is medicated now and blows like that have less of a sting. I also wonder if Graves would claim to have been "in character" or something. Either way, he's a dick and seems just like a Millennial version of Bradshaw. Get him outta there.

Mauro is one of the best announcers in the biz IMO but if he seriously cant handle criticism on social media then dude seriously needs to stop getting on social media. Its not rocket science. I hate that he has problems but he also has to take some responsibility for them as well. Removing himself from social media is the same as an alcoholic not going to a bar. if you know you have a problem, dont put yourself in a situation to agitate it.

Didn't Mauro post like a day before Takeover that he hoped his mental health issues stayed in check for this long weekend? I swear I recall reading a tweet where he was all but praying that he make it through the weekend.
Granted, I do not have the same mental issues as Mauro, but I do have crippling anxiety, and can feel a "breakdown" coming. Perhaps this was that? Sometimes, even an innocuous statement (not that what Grave said was) can trigger it. I've had my anxiety trigger as a result of someone telling me to "wait over here" while they check the inventory.
What I am trying to say is this: If my memory is correct, perhaps Mauro was on the verge of an episode, felt it coming, and one tweet sent him over. It happens.
