I know it'll never happen - I know he represents "giving away the business" - and he speaks out against WWE all the time, but imagine it! No one would see it coming. And he has helped many a wrestler, Foley says he helped get his career going with good reviews early on (he's also in the Andre DVD, so he has done "work" with the company). Whaddya think?!

Why? His own Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame is more of a real HOF than the WWE one.

He actually deserves it. His reporting has left an undeniable mark on the business, and hes almost responsible for creating smarks, which whether you like or not, has a loud voice in today's wrestling world.

It's a completely stupid idea, but it would be the ultimate test of Uncle Dave's convictions, I'll give you that. Guy makes every effort he can to posture his Hall of Fame as "legitimate" while denouncing the procedures of WWE's.
Would he take it? Probably. Would it make him look like (even more of) a stark raving assh*le? Yup!

I see zero benefit this would give WWE. validating dirt sheet writers shouldn’t be priority.

If what he reported was even 75% accurate, maybe. I laugh at anyone that reads anything Meltzer writes and takes it serious. Wrestling has always been about "scamming" the fan into thinking something isnt what it seems...Meltzer has excelled at that as well.

If he gets inducted and Vince Russo is not in it the latter will get a heart attack. Plus it's meaningless anyway so let it happen.

I think you should take a break from making threads.

Hell no! I would never take the Hall of Fame seriously again.

I'd rather see Jim Johnston get in the Hall of Fame.

I think you should take a break from making threads. Please don't be mean to the op. Forums are dieing left and right, and while the question may not be your cup of tea, it is interesting to some. The nicer we are to each other, the less we will drive away. On the topic at hand, I don't think Meltzer should be in that HOF, only because he has not been on any of their programming, and I thought that was a pre req. Not to say it isn't a valid thought though....

I'd rather see Jim Johnston get in the Hall of Fame. Considering the amount of entrance music he's composed over the years he more than deserves an induction.
