I think that is Barry Darsow with Ax. This was the only picture I could find of Randy Colley as Smash: RIP

Yeah not many pics of em out there as Smash. With how brief his run was I can understand why
I'm a Johnny V fan but man he did not mesh well as Demolition's manager during the beginning. Glad they gave the role to Fuji later that year.

Sad news. I loved the Moon Dogs, but for some reason I thought he would have been older than 69.

There was a Demolition interview with Randy posted on twitter after his passing. Can someone post it on this thread? My computer won't show videos on twitter.
Funny thing about the Eadie/Darsow pic from the first few weeks together is that Randy would sign the photo. I'm guessing the run was so short he doesn't even remember that it wasn't him in the photo.
I feel bad for him with the Smash run not working out. I'm thinking WWF didn't even think it would make it past a few months but around late 1987/early 1988 everything just worked out so perfectly with Eadie and Darsow and Mr. Fuji.
The original manager was a good choice based on what Demolition was at the time. Johnny V. fit more with Demolition during the early days when they were being billed at two guys Johnny found in the club at New York. When they evolved into the meaner and more dangerous/evil version Mr. Fuji fit perfectly.

Sad news. I loved the Moon Dogs, but for some reason I thought he would have been older than 69. Yeah I thought he was at least in his 70s. Moon Dog Spot was only in his early 50s I believe when he passed in 03.
Shame so many young wrestlers over the years.

Too bad about his passing. R.I.P. Randy!
Just curious, did Randy ever team with Bill on the indys as Demolition when Bill left the WWF in 1990??

Big Moondog's fan here too. Yeah it was hard luck that Smash didn't work out for him but fans knew who he was.
Fuji, Ax & Smash meshed so well....but Eadie & Darsow were the consummate team. They were brilliant workers and the fact that they morphed into one of Vince's most over acts EVER so seamlessly demonstrates that.
