Who's the bigger star? Who's better in the ring? Who had the best career? Who had the best storylines?

Tough choice, Punk suffered a lot from bad booking where Bryan on the other hand had more epic, memorable moments and had he not been injured in 2014 he may have become The Guy.
They had a chance with Punk in 2011 but the unessesary heel turn in 2012 undid all that work.

Punk had only 3 years of main event status. Daniel has had 6 years + the year he was GM. Had Punk never left, this would be a different story, but right now Daniel is John Cena and Punk is Batista.

Bigger star-CM Punk
Better in ring-Daniel Bryan
Better career-CM Punk
Better storylines- Neither. Both guys were booked so horribly, especially in 2011-2013.

Bryan's the better everything. There's a reason he had the best in the world moniker first

Bigger Star? CM Punk - Arguably the biggest star of this decade. - He changed the entire landscape of Wrestling in 2011. - Was treated as one of the biggest stars from 2011-2014. - Left and his name was still chanted for 5 years.
Better in the ring? Daniel Bryan - One of the best technical wrestlers today and of all time - Can put on a great match with almost anyone - Still wrestles like he's in his 20's despite being in his late 30's and coming out of retirement without losing a step
Best Career? Daniel Bryan - Getting fired from WWE to returning and winning the US Title shortly after. - Money in the Bank to the World Title, then becoming one of the best parts of 2012. Even with the WM28 squash, it kick started his popularity. - Team Hell No into the rise of Bryan in 2013. - The YES Movement of late 2013 - mid 2014. - Returning after the injury and being the most over guy from late 2014 - early 2015. - IC Title win at Mania. - Retiring but still defying the odds by recovering, seeking new treatments and getting cleared to return. Giving hope to guys retired from injury that it's possible to recover these injuries and make them even stronger than before. - Heel turn into the New Daniel Bryan, becoming fresh again as the Planet's Champion and fighting to get Kofi his win at Mania. - Tweening between heel/face and now refreshing his character again with the new look. - His career is still going, so who knows what's next.
Best Storylines? CM Punk - Jeff Hardy feud from 2009. - Straight Edge Society was great, it should have been much bigger than it was. - Rey Mysterio feud in 2010, trying to get Rey to join the SES. Then the Mask vs SES initiation to the Mask vs Hair stipulations. - Randy Orton feud from early 2011, dating back to when Orton took Punk out of the Scramble match and caused him to forfeit the World Title - The Summer of Punk. Though botched, the story of it was amazing. With Punk threatening to leave with the Title, the Pipe Bomb, and the match at MITB actually having a big fight feel with big implications. - The Triple H feud, 'exposing' Triple H. - Chris Jericho feud from early 2012 was great, bringing the real life elements into the mix. - The small program with Daniel Bryan was enjoyable. - The heel turn, setting up Punk vs Rock months in advance. Paul Heyman coming in as his manager, making them the best thing of late 2012. - Punk counting the days as champion and doing everything to protect his reign. - Feud with The Rock brought some of the best promos out of both guys. - Feud with The Undertaker into WM29. Though some will question the involvement of Paul Bearer's death, it added an extra element to feud and made it feel way more important. - The split with Heyman into the small feud with Lesnar - Feud with Heyman & Rybotch, 1 year later but with the roles switched

Bigger Star: CM Punk held the Wwe title for a hella long time, went to UFC has links to the comic book World he's more known than Bryan.
Better in the ring: Daniel Bryan imo faster pace cooler moveset.
Better Storyline: tie Daniel Bryan rising up over the authority beating all 3 members of evolution at mania retiring the return return of the yes movement. But there's also CM Punks battles with Cena hijacking the Wwe title, S.E.S, The pipe bomb the fu3d with Taker.
Best career: can't answer while one is still active. Really.

Daniel Bryan is better in the ring, Punk is better on the microphone.
Bryan’s a WrestleMania main event winner, and his career didn’t make him miserable enough to ragequit, so I’d say he has had the better career.

With Punk you could ask about half the late-2000s Divas division

when Daniel Bryan went left WWE. I didn't have to hear the crowd chanting his name every week He was gone for like five whole months and then became GM of Smackdown. The only reason people chant for CM Punk is a) he left on extremely bad terms and they want it rectified or b) a bunch of goofs are trying to get themselves over by chanting stupid crapduring matches they don’t want to see.

Awfully tough to make an overall decision.
Bigger star- Punk, easily
Better wrestler- Bryan, comfortably
Better career- Probably the closest decision. Definitely Punk at the time he left, but has what Bryan done since then been enough to equal better. And he’s still going. Going to give the nod to Bryan.
Better storylines- They both have multiple memorable ones. In the end I think I enjoyed Punk’s a little more, so I’ll give him this one.
At 2-2, I’ll break the tie on Punk being much more of a star IMO.
