* If this was already made, save your time by not crucifying me.
Let's say if The Ultimate Warrior had played ball and stayed with WWE through 1996 onward. Excluding his backstage issues, how much longer could you have seen Warrior wrestling? I say 2003/2004 with a great heel turn in 1997/1998. What do you all think?

Ultimate warrior was only a full time wrestler in the WWF for 5 years at the peak of his popularity, so there's no way he would've stayed through the attitude era where he would've flopped hard.

Maybe they could have taught him the spear as a finisher. He needed an image and moveset overhaul.

Hard to say how well it would have done. He fit in well with the New Generation but it's hard to see him in the attitude era. Though, if he modified his look a little bit, it might have worked. I thought he was doing fine in WCW at the time, but it looked like WCW didn't have any plans for him other than losing to Hogan.

It was odd seeing him in the New Generation for the brief four months or so he was there, so I couldn't imagine him at all sticking around in the Attitude Era or the Ruthless Aggression Era.
Strangely enough, Warrior did fit in with WCW in 1998. My guess is because all the other old WWE stars being there, so he just kind of fit right in with all of them.

Ultimate Warrior did kind of change his look with the airbrushed dusters and jeans. It was better than wearing those singlets.

Ultimate Warrior would need to reinvent himself like his old partner Sting did with The Crow gimmick. Road Warrior Hawk would have been great on his own in the Attitude Era.

They turned it into a ridiculous storyline that ruined a legendary tag team. Road Warrior Hawk could do promos that made people believe everything he was saying to them.

Warrior would've sounded so goofy in promos with legends like Austin and Rock. And I'm an 80s wrestling fan. DX would have made so much fun of him.
Someone mentioned a program with Mankind, that would have worked. Same with Kane or Undertaker.

Man, Warrior felt like an out of place relic in 1996. I can't even begin thinking about where he would fit in had he stuck around until '97. That was the true dawn of the Attitude Era where the product got edgier and more reality-based. A complete 180° from the era that gave us the Ultimate Warrior.
Don't think it would've went well at all.

Nobody was going to buy a superhero like character destroying everybody on the roster when you had a more realistic version in Goldberg doing the same thing on Monday Nitro.

I think the problem with Warrior staying passed 1996 is, like others have said, he would not have fit in going forward. But I think it's also worth noting he would not have played ball to do so. This is a guy who took issue with Jakks making a figure of him that featured his face paint being worn off. Said it made him look weak. Given that Warrior was so protective of his character and would frequently try to involve himself with his handling, he would not have taken the super hero, child role model Warrior getting more grounded very well.

Yeah Warrior would have been required to put over some of the new talent...I don't see that going to plan at all. As mentioned he was so protective of the character.
Would he have turned heel or adapted to any requested shift in character? Unlikely.

People were done with comic book characters in 96, but Vince really wanted Warrior to stick around as an attraction only (contract was for 18 months). Vince even offered a $750k 1-year down-side guarantee in 1997 to bring him back.
If Warrior stayed, he would've been just that an attraction and nothing more. Doubtful he would've had any titles/world-title matches. Since he would probably never agree to going heel, he would probably get booed by WWF Attitude fans once that era started.
I could see feuds with Kane, Big Show, Ministry Taker happening if you could get Warrior to reinvent himself in the attitude era.

I liked him as Dingo Warrior in WCCW. He was a heel in his earlier wrestling days.
