I also enjoy the SNES classic I got last year. The backwards compatibility of previous consoles is a huge selling point for me with the PS5

Is anyone here a gamer? If so, what platform are you playing on and what game or games are you currently playing? This current gen I have a Switch and PS4. Lately I've been playing Luigi's Mansion 3 and Devil May Cry 5. I installed Death Stranding but have yet to start it up. I still have some of my older consoles boxed in the closet (SNES, N64, GCN, O.G. XBOX, 360, GBC, GBA) I finished Luigis Mansion 3 a couple weeks after launch. It was my favorite entry in the series. I kept all my old consoles too. Everything is currently hooked up in my spare room. I've been keeping the rosters as updated as I possibly can in No Mercy for N64 lol. Side note, I think we might be getting news on an AEW video game soon. There were rumors that Kenny Omega chatted with Syn Sophia (formerly AKI) about using the old Revenge/Wrestlemania 2000/No Mercy engine in a new game. One of the Bucks said to expect news by the end of 2019.

I'm just waiting to buy a PS5 when it comes out, The Last Of Us 2 will probably be one of the best games ever when it comes out. If the rumor of backwards compatibility for all PS games is true that'd be a huge plus. I don't have any current gen consoles but i have a PS3.

The Genesis was a weird system to me. Clearly great capabilities but I didn't love any games for it really. Outside of Sonic and Streets of Rage I never cared for it, despite having one growing up.

I think the real selling point for the Genesis was that it was the "older kids" Super Nintendo. Outside of the 1st party stuff, the Genesis had a lot of the same games that the SNES did. I think one major problem is that outside of Sonic, Streets of Rage and Golden Axe SEGA never really marketed their games as well as Nintnedo. There were a bunch of really great games I'm glad I tried on Genesis when I was younger like Dynamite Headdy, Ecco the Dolphin, Comix Zone, Vectorman, Kid Chameleon and Eternal Champions.

Maybe it's also a case of, outside of Sonic, the fact that Genesis didn't have too many big name franchise players. Golden Axe was sweet, but we didn't get a bunch of sequels like you did with Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero, etc. Sonic was their franchise, the rest seemed more like one-offs. Some of those games ended up getting sequels, like Ecco for Dreamcast/Saturn and Golden Axe much later on Xbox 360, but it never felt as cohesive as the Nintendo properties.

The good thing about those systems were they both had different versions of a game. So Aladdin was a completely different game on both systems which was good if you had both.

We played for hours. Sonic 2, Alterd Beast, Golden Axe, Ghost' N Ghouls, Contra Hard Corps. We didn't even get to Streets of Rage, Streen Fighter 2, Mega Man or Coloumns.

nothing beats sunset riders for Genesis. Comix Zone is of course a great game too as is Outlander.
I’ll be trading in the ps4 for a ps5 as well, if only so the gf can upgrade to over watch 2 when it drops.

Since the PS5 is going to be backwards compatible did they say if we could download our digital PS4 games on the system?

Since the PS5 is going to be backwards compatible did they say if we could download our digital PS4 games on the system? My understanding is that all physical and digital PS4 games are supposed to be playable on the PS5. No confirmation yet on PS1-PS3.

I've never traded in an old system for a new one but if that is true I might just pull the trigger.

Just checked Toys R Us Westwood.
It's bare. Nothing halfway decent. Hoping this leads to a restock soon.

Non-figure related but I just picked up a classic ROH DVD from 2004 titled "ROH: Road to the Title" at a local movie/collectible store in NYC this morning. They had a classic Shimmer DVD and a Hayabusa Documentary along with this but I picked the ROH DVD up.

Clearly not wrestling figure related, but being that we are all Canadians here and I am guessing a majority of us love or watch hockey one time or another in our lives, I would show this off.
For I finally have every Mario Lemieux card in order from his rookie year until 1990 on page 1 of my Mario card collection. I actually never thought I would own his rookie card, and when I got it, I felt the need to find the remaining years I needed to connect my 1990 card on the bottom right to his rookie. Thankfully at a local card shop the other day in Blenheim Ontario called Stadium Sports Cards, I was able to purchase all the remaining cards I needed. I am pretty proud of this accomplishment, because I legit never thought I would own any of those older cards. But now I can proudly say that I do!
