Will we be getting Top Talents 2020 Elites?

Apparently gonna be out spring 2020 I hope AJ is in wm35 attire and Rollins in wm35 attire or quantum realm attire or Seth in summerslam 2019

God I hope not. My local Target doesn’t seem to understand that it’s a separate line from Elites even though they have different SKUs. That’s literally the only figs that have been stocked at this store over the last year. I’ve never seen any of the Target exclusives other than Wolfe.

"top talent" are usually in the regular elite line anyway. This series is just redundant in my opinion. Clog up more shelf space of figures people don't want as much as they think.

Yeah, I really don’t know why they made “Top Talent” elites and then continue to put them in right back into the main regular elite line. This literally takes away a chance of getting new wrestlers. For example, the first Top Talent AJ is still clogging up the shelves (the new one has been the same as well) and we’re getting him again in E74 that’s literally no different from Top Talent ‘19 AJ (besides the colors being flipped and a few minor stuff) with him also being in E77 that’s coming out shortly after. Don’t get me wrong, I love AJ, but this is getting way too much. We could’ve gotten guys and girls like Io Shirai, an updated Kevin Owens, updated Tyler Bate, Humberto Carillo, Sarah Logan, etc. and yet, we’re getting the same wrestlers again and again, set after set. I get that they sell and all, but guys like Styles or Seth being put in a regular main elite line and then literally a few sets after (with them also being in the Top Talents line), they’re being put in again just takes away spots from new faces.

Was it the basics they listed the names for? Because I know for a fact I commented on how this was a line really for kids wanting their first of these popular wrestlers yet they kept AJ and removed Finn who with Seth were the two popular ones with the kids. And now AJ, Seth and Finn ( if still in the line) are all heels and Hardy has been off TV for ages so they probably aren’t as wanted by the kids now. lol

Regardless of the horrible distribution of this series, I thought it was a nifty way to get new attires out there quickly, so that’s why I asked. For someone like me, who collects every Seth and AJ Elite, I liked this series because it gave me more Elites of them, but I can understand why some people would like for this set to end. It is a little odd to include the same name in two different sets at the exact same time (the biggest offender being the exact same Braun figure in both E68 and TT’19), but if a guy changes his look often (like Seth or AJ), it’s a bit more justified IMO.

The problem with a lot of top talent is that as the market over-saturates you're going to see diminished returns. Keeping top talent on the shelves is, in theory, a good idea. But there's a point where when you've kept Finn, AJ, and Seth on the pegs nonstop for 2-3 years, just about every person who wants one has one. We saw the same issue with Cena when he was still a keystone figure.

Attire selections haven't helped. Seth had a pretty bland attire released at the exact same time they dropped the flame attire in the main line. AJ has had a ton of colorful attires that have never been Elites - red, purple, etc. Instead they release some super-drab gray attire.

But honestly I don't know how much it matters. Reading between the lines, it certainly sounded like this was something the retailers asked, probably without too much understanding of this specific market or buying audience. And with Mattel's current situation, their backs are against a wall and they basically have to give retail what they want or end up out in the cold.
