I miss the 80s, more specifically the period of time circa '88-'92; to me those were the best years from both companies.

In terms of WWF/E, the 90s was a much more iconic and enjoyable time. I would say that the last two years of the 10s had a lot more highlights than the early part of the decade. And I think that is due mostly in part to NXT becoming my favorite part of the company. Around 2010, the indy scene went from my occasional viewing to my main source of enjoyment when it came to pro wrestling. So my 10s were filled with a lot of fun moments and great young talents!

Worst of the 2010s
Weekly Raw Guest Hosts
The Miz winning the WWE Championship
Comedy and Predictable Royal Rumbles
Overdependence on legends for Wrestlemania
Everybody being a .500 wrestler
Smackdown on Syfy being a Raw rematch and recap show
Every Raw for a 2 year period revolving around HHH and Stephanie McMahon
Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Championship
WWE signing wrestlers just to keep them away from other companies
Brock Lesnar holding the WWE World or Universal Championship for about 1000 days and only making a few appearances a year
A John Cena vs Undertaker Wrestlemania match that couldve filled up a 70,000 seat stadium a few years earlier being reduced to an unannounced, 3 minute squash

Selling Wrestlemania and other big shows on pomp alone and throwing celebrity after celebrity in there to attract the general media sucked. To be fair, it’s not like Vince hasn’t done that before.. Yes, he would bring in names that would be known in the pop culture world to draw media attention and create a buzz. I would contend that it wasn't done at the expense of the wrestling, but to put a spotlight on the talent involved. Nowadays, he operates believing the wrestling fans are hooked only by the grandeur of the stage, and puts all the effort in attracting the fairweather audience who would be just as content watching anything else on. Good for the bottom line, bad for the profession. Plus, it was necessary for him during the early years to affirm his vision and reverse the generalization of pro wrestling in the corporate world, that it is more than sweaty drunkards crowded in a barnyard in Hickville, USA.

Wrestling overall was more fun in the 90s. But the quality of the actual wrestling is much, much better in the 10s. I'm personally more about the 00s though. That 2005-2006 era with Edge as the main heel was beautiful. Yes, and I believe that was a case of wrestling being a case of wrestling being in a "cooling off" period. Had it been as mainstream and big, Edge and those guys would have been on TV Shows moreso, late night talk shows. Hell, maybe Benoit doesn't happen? Maybe he becomes a big star...okay, that's bothering me thinking about (sorry, that's a ME issue haha) but yeah, and SHAWN could probably be a transitional star and did a lot of MAINSTREAM press like I'm sure he would have had he been a big part of the Attitude era...I mean...'98-01

I agree with what everyone has said....
I’d like to add that the lack of (real) wrestling company competition has caused everyone to be a lifer and never change their character...Half the roster has been around for almost 10 years....

Both decades have some very good and some very bad, but the 2010s was the better decade by far, solely for the last six or seven years of the product from a pure wrestling standpoint.

The 90s had a lot of variety. In WWF you had the tail end of the Hulkamania cartoon era, then the new generation era, then the attitude era. Early WCW was still fairly similar to the NWA and provided wrasslin and then there was NWO era WCW with the cruiserweights and the rise of antiheroes. ECW brought new styles of wrestling and storytelling. Even in Japan you had AJPW and NJPW battling for supremacy with loaded rosters and distinct styles, while Mexico had a boom with the AAA CMLL rivalry. In the 2010s you had high workrate but otherwise nothing but generica. Bad storytelling and worse promos. This is true for WWE and wrestling in general. The 90s were better unless you care only about workrate.

Outside of WWECW the 2000s were God awful.
Early 90s was great. The later 90s not so much.
2010s had a period where I was just burnt out and didn't watch but from an in ring standpoint the wrestling is the best it has ever been.
When Raw and Smackdown split in 2016, SD/Talking Smack/205 Live was the perfect combo. The best shows in a very long time.
