When Kurt Angle lwft in 2006, he was at 6 World Championships. let's assume Kurt stayed in WWE his entire career and stayed healthy, do you think he would've come close to tying Ric Flair's 16 World Championships? i think he would've been very close, if not tied it. What do you think?

I reckon he'd have been more in Randy Orton territory. He got 6 in TNA over a similar amount of time too, so he'd probably have got about 12/13 imo.
Kurt did leave WWE in the first place because he wanted to work a lighter schedule, so had he got his own way, he may only have got another couple as a part timer at most.

I wonder what WWE's plans were with Angle. It seems they were planning on him working with and putting over younger talent seeing as he was "demoted" to ECW. I almost wonder if he was slowly being transitioned to a backstage role. But it was quite obvious he had plenty more to give. I'm sure he would've at least held a world title at least a couple more times. Rekindling his past feuds with Shawn Michaels, Edge, Jericho and Cena; a shot at Undertaker's streak; and potential battles with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk could've been just as satisfying as more title reigns, IMO.

I feel like if certain things did not happen they were going to have angle/rvd/Benoit and Big show carry ecw with Angle at the forefront He definitely would have feuded with guys like Sabu, Punk, Morrison and Lashley and would have been the guy in any ecw match at any duel branded PPV.
I’m kind of curious as to what his role at WM 23 would have been. One would think Lashley/Angle would have been the go to instead of Umaga and they possibly could have closed the show.
Also at the same time, I don’t think angle would have lived had he stayed in WWE

He would have clearly changed his name to Kurt Triangle and his catch phrase would be, "why be such a square, when you can be a Triangle."

I don't think he would have come close honestly. At the time we were looking at at least a year, maybe two of wrestling machine Angle on ECW putting over Lashley, Swagger, Henry and Jackson.
I think Vince would have been pushing for a part time schedule/deal for Angle shortly after then.

He probably wouldn't have even hit 10. Shawn Michaels could've easily, and probably should've, had a few title wins during his last 7-8 year run. He had the World Title for what, a few weeks in 2002, and that was it?

I think he should've had the rest of 2006 off and came beck in early 2007. I would've gave him at least three months off a year to recover tbh. I think he would've went to a really limited schedule in 2010-2011

I don't know if Kurt necessarily would have gotten to double digits in world title reigns if he had stayed. Around that time Triple H, Cena, Orton, Edge, Undertaker and Batista were all the top guys and had won championships moving forward so I definitely could see Angle being in that mix and having top feuds, but probably not having multiple title reigns. I would bet that Triple H would put the nix on Kurt coming too close to his record as well.

My favorite Kurt Angle match is the one with Undertaker at No Way Out 2006.
