Am I alone in not hating a more "cartoony" line? I see a lot of people saying that the Fortnite line looks too cartoony for an AEW line. But does anyone else not hate that idea? I get people want a lot more realistic looking line, but I wouldn't say I am totally against something a bit more cartoony. A bit more "toy"-like. I’d be up for it. Like I’m down for good articulation with a stylized look. Especially if they are a little smaller. I think it would help the line stand out if it was more of a “fun” line. Possibly cheaper to produce, with a larger selection of figures. Maybe do a play set a few times a year with like 4 figures and a ring or a backstage setup. More multipacks would be cool too. I’m thinking back to the BCA days when we’d get all kinds of sets. I think a more realistic sculpt would cost more money than a stylized would. Of course if they fit in well with Mattel figures I’d probably buy them for parts for customs.

Like I was upset when WWE only made like eight figures like this: I would have loved a full roster of toys that look like those.

I'm all about a Darby Allin with a skateboard and a body bag.

Can't wait for these figs. Really hope we get a good Pentagon Jr figure Boss Fight Studios are releasing a really good one in their Legends of Lucha Libre line and it's confirmed to be compatible with Mattel WWE. Oh really? That's sweet! Didn't know that. Thank you.

If these are not really close in scale to the Mattel figures, I don't see myself buying them.

I’m so excited for these. I really hope they’re in scale with elite. I wonder how frequently they’ll be released and how many figures will be in each set. Really excited to get cody, Kenny, the bucks and Darby.

I know we keep comparing them to the fortnite figs but I think there are 6 a set for those (also in line with elites) but they could take a different route. I think 4-6 would be a healthy number per series but the more the better to get people out. Onto another question. Do you think proto images will be released in 2 weeks or do you think they actually have prototypes made to show off at the show?

One thing for sure is they aren’t going to be in scale with Mattel’s figures. Because just like when Mattel took over the WWE line they wanted people to buy their versions of wrestlers who already had Jakks figures. And the easiest way to do that is to make them a different scale. So Jazwares are going to be the same way with their line and wrestlers who have Mattel figures already.

Kinda feels like the opposite of what you're saying if the sentiment of this thread and my my twitter feed are to be believed. If Jazwares wants people to buy their figures it would be best to make them the same scale as pretty much evey other wrestling figure on the market now. Mattel was trying to make people forget Jakks who was a smaller product with a weaker brand. If AEW were a stronger brand then Jazwares would benefit from making them in a different scale. They are best piggybacking at this point instead of trying to make people choose because they will lose.

Since only a few of these guys already have Mattel figs (and all them outdated), the better business play would be to make their figures compatible with the existing line from the bigger company to hook more casual buyers who might want new guys for their displays/feds. They might not go that route, but making them all compatible with Mattel WWE is probably a better long-term play than creating a new scale just to force people to buy new versions of Jericho, Cody, Moxley, and PAC.

I’d be ok with cartoony fort nite figures. Make them look like video game characters.
I’d really only want Jericho right now but we’ll see. Awesome Kong would be great

As long as they are in scale with Mattel. My bank account will suffer mightily.

Hopefully the price is in scale with Mattel figures and not the others like Boss Studios, Super7, etc.

I like Boss Fight Studios take on the Lucha Bros, but them coming in red/black kills it for me. I hope they are in the Jazwares line up in better colours!

It would definitely stick out from WWE figures. I'm just happy that we are getting figures in general. Imagine a Darby Allin in this style!

Agree on the Boss Fight Lucha Bros. I bought them, because I wasn’t not going to, but I wanted Pentagon in black/white or black/gold. I mean it’s in part Mattel’s fault but in most cases I’m not a fan of black and red.

I'm familiar with jazwares through fortnight. Got a couple for my son for christmas. 17.99 at walmart, and crap ton of accessories.
17.99 with more accessories and equal to or better articulation than the ultimate line.
17.99 compared to 29.99
Wtf Mattel.
