Will he "go for a while" with Brock like Balor, AJ, and Bryan, and get over by doing that? Is that the hope? What's the deal?

I think it's mainly to establish Ricochet as more of a main eventer. Even if he loses quickly, the audience sees him fighting guys like Brock and Rollins, it makes him look like a bigger deal. I could see him losing, probably in pretty quick fashion, but the rest of the year will be him building himself back up and fully establishing himself. By year's end being a true top guy.

Give Ricochet the rub from working with Lesnar and let him show his stuff. He's obviously not going to win but I'm happy they're doing something with him.
Its about time Bork started wrestling other people. I hope the trend continues.

1. A payoff to that kick on RAW, and Ric kicking Brock in the Brock's at the Rumble. 2. Saudi Prince wants Brock? Saudi Prince gets Brock. 3. Brock needs to kill someone. 4. I'd rather Brock kill Ric than Aleister 5. Ric will sacrifice himself and still smile afterwards

It seemed the perfect moment to pull the trigger on the Lashley/Brock match too. I think this is just lazy booking. I don't think this means a Ricochet main event push.

Go back and watch Lesnar vs. Styles, Bryan and Balor to figure this one out.
Lesnar will dominate, Ricochet will get in a few moves, back to Lesnar, then Ricochet will hit Lesnar with something out of no where, stun him, go for his big finishing move, Lesnar kicks out at 2 and a half, Lesnar then destroys Ricochet and beats him 1 2 3, the end.

It's a Saudi show, remember... Glorified house show. It's not like it matters, guys. It'll be a good match and something for Lesnar to do in the time before now and really getting into it with Drew before Mania.

That kinda describes every televised wrestling event.

Probably exactly what you stated. Brock has a proven history of working exceptionally well with smaller, more agile athletes when he's substantially engaged or into their work. His best matches over the last several years have been with guys who fall well below his mass and stature.

I'll take a different approach. Read some stupid tweet or post that said the plan is to get Cain against Brock by having Brock take out Drew the day of Mania (Cain will be doing autos with Rey at AXXESS. Makes sense that somehow he has a mania match. Just don't think it'll against Brock). Anyways, if somehow that plan is true (I HOPE NOT), maybe the whole match is the AJ/Bryan match all over again, but Cain comes out and Rico somehow gets the win?
Then Drew still gets his mania moment for the title. It's incredibly stupid. SO STUPID. But if that report/tweet or whatever has any credibility to it, this is the only way I'd be "happy" with Drew not facing Lesnar.
So assuming Cain v. Lesnar is the direction the company wants, the purpose is to do the "right" thing and get the belt off of Lesnar. It can't be put on Seth bc he has a feud with KO. Lashley may or may not be involved in rusev's thing, so they need to still have that. Rico and Drew have good chemistry and will put on a great match, and Rico can be the transitional champion for a while.
yes, its convoluted. yes, it's so dumb. So very dumb. But if the report is true (I don't believe it. I believe Cain has some type of involvement in Mania but it won't be against Brock), then this is the only way it can work.

In that usually nothing happens that has any consequences on the long term booking, fair enough there are exceptions e.g. Bray winning the title but it tends to be the case.

People really want Bob Lashley (Who has put on maybe one good match that didn't involve foreign objects since he came back) to work Brock when it's pretty much proven Brock works best against smaller guys (See: Eddie, Rey, Benoit, Bryan, Balor, AJ, etc., etc.) huh?

It puts him in the main event with Brock thus putting him at a higher level even with the loss.
