Now? Undertaker is sad to see. Like an old dog still trying to play with his favorite ball but can barely walk. So you just feel sorry for it.

AJ was the king at pulling good performances out of over the hill wrestlers in TNA. so, if anyone’s gotta face him, makes sense.
Undertaker teaming up with Aleister may have been a better move imo though.

I’m not particularly into it. I don’t think I care to see Taker in a match (he seems too far gone to even be carried to a decent singles bout), and AJ has fallen down the card now. I’m sure on the night, with the entrances etc, it’d get me, but I’m not excited about the prospect right now.
I think ideally, I’d rather see the legends like Taker, HHH etc team up against the OC or Seth’s group rather than have singles matches.

If Taker needs a match, o think AJ is the perfect candidate. He's not exactly young himself anymore, but he's still more than capable of having a 4 star match with a plush toy and could do a lot of the heavy lifting for Taker.
This was a bit of a dream match for me about 10 years ago, and as much as it doesn't excite me as much anymore it could still be a great spectacle.
Hopefully it's the Undertaker that teamed with Reigns that shows up though, and not the one that faced Goldberg.

I am excited for this! AJ is one I just can't get into right now. Not saying he's a bad wrestler, I just feel like every story the OC gets is boring. So hopefully a Taker feud will be fun and entertaining!

Urgh! So taker is needing someone of AJs caliber to help him pull of a match at wrestlemania? Why can't he just do an interaction or team up with sting or something? Styles should be tearing it down with someone else that can keep up with him not being handed a loss to taker

I'm sure Styles won't be against this. He's done so much in his career, a match with The Undertaker, let alone at Mania, will be one of the few things left to check off his list.
He'll make it work too. He got a show stealing match with Shane 3 years ago!

Sounds great until it's a one sided Takers greatest hits. Want to see something like HBK vs Taker, but AJ will be Takers Ziggler, that Goldberg had.

As most pointed out ten years ago this could have been a five star match and rivaled Taker's series of matches against HBK.But in 2020 this won't be anything great and more then likely and average match at best.Taker is years past his prime and should have retired once his Streak was broken,even if it was in a shitty match against Brock.Also Styles at 42 isn't what he once was.Every year he's been in WWE since his debut in 2016 he's taken a step back in terms of his in ring quality and work.
Hopefully the build in terms of the storyline and mic work is good and we get some cool intros along with smoke and mirrors in terms of the actual in ring match to cover things up.
Brock/McIntrye
Wyatt/Reigns
Edge/Orton
Taker/Styles
Cena/Dream
Becky/Bazler
Ripley/Charlotte
hopefully just a few more match as well but not to much.But so far on paper the rumored card is looking stacked for Mania and if the build continues to be good could be a hell of a show.

I like both taker and aj, but in all honesty I’d rather see Seth vs Undertaker. Sounds like a bigger match and also, how would AJ do the styles clash on undertaker?

It’s a big match. One of the few guys on the roster who you can both trust with Taker and who can have a shot in hell at getting something out of him. It’s a good move. Primarily because there isn’t much else AJ could be doing with who is already tied up.

I'm just desperate for Undertaker to hang up his boots at this point. I honestly believed he was the kind of wrestler who would care enough about his legacy to leave before it got painful to watch, and I thought his mis-steps in his WrestleMania XXXIII match against Roman were deliberate and part of the story of his retirement - that he could no longer hang with the Big Dog and he was handing over the keys to his yard - but I was sadly mistaken.
It's time. Please end it.
