You're in that not so sweet spot of life where you are too old to be spending carelessly and too young to be established enough to not have to care.

Never ashamed to collect as an adult and a responsible one at that. A hobby is a hobby and it should be cool with others if it doesn't affect anyone's quality of life.

I don't think you can ever be too old to collect. Just like I don't think you can ever be too old to enjoy sports. There is something inherently strange however about someone in their 30s or 40s still actively playing with them, but that's just my opinion (I'd also be lying if I said I never had a figure give another the odd maneuver here and there when bored).
It's a hobby like any else. The only times I've stopped are when I didn't like the actual figures themselves (I stopped during TTL and R3).

42. Looks like Im the oldest so far. lol Ive been collecting since the LJN days and still have all of my figures from back in the day. Took a break during the Jakks days for a little but came back when Mattel took over. I have roughly well over 1,000 wrestling figures and probably another 1000 Gi Joe, He Man, comic, etc. I don't play with any of them but I love collecting and not stopping anytime soon.

Just turned 40 last week. I collected from 5 years old until 2010 after Jakks lost the license. Got back in the game last year with Mattel with some encouragement from my friend who started up again also. I love it and it makes me feel like a kid again. I guess I'll call it my escape from real life. Glad to be collecting again.

38 years young. I started collecting about 5 or 6 years ago, but have been a WWF/E fan since I cant even remember when. I have 50 or so figures I deem valuable for whatever reason MOC, and 150 or so displayed loose. I love the belts. I must have all the belts.

I am 50....hard to believe!
I’m the lifelong collector...
Comics at age 6, though the last few years I’ve gotten very few books. My personal collection is close to 40,000 issues. I remember loving toys from the get go but after watching Star Wars as a 7 year old in 1977, I really got into it
I proceeded to go through collecting different lines through the years with some overlap. First Star Wars, then Space and Castle legos....Motu, Super Powers, Secret Wars, and a little G.I. Joe.
Then Transformers arrived and I lived and breathed G1 all the way till the end....I was still buying them when I was stationed in West Germany in the early 90’s.
Once I finished my active duty, I worked at a TRU while I was going to college. I also bought some of my first WWF(E) figures there from the old Hasbro line. I use to look at the LJN figures but never got any of them.
Now I started watching WWE in the late 70’s when Backlund was champion. In fact my Dad and I were at an early Saturday Nights main event episode that was taped at Hershey(It was the Halloween episode). I went through a period in the 90’s where we went to every event held in Hershey.
Then May 23rd. 1999 came....I wasn’t watching the pay-per- view because I had to work. One of my employees told me what happened.
Now Owen was my favorite wrestler....I always liked the technical, high flyer wrestlers. However I liked him immediately after I saw him do his flip he used to do off the middle of the ring ropes. He was the Blue Blazier then. I did get to see him wrestle the Ultimate Warrior once and I bought his King of Harts shirt at the event(I still have it).
Anyways, I watched the Owen tribute on Raw the next day and then shutoff wrestling from my life for 15 years.
In 2014 my daughter and I happen to turn on a raw episode, she asked me what it was and we started to slowly start watching again. She liked John Cena originally and then the women wrestlers as they started getting more tv time. I started buying a few of the Elite figures around 2015 and I get a whole lot more now(when I can find them)
Oh and one last thing....I kept most of my childhood toys, I’ve never sold an item for profit and I still feel the same affection for my toys I did as a 7 year old.

I'm 45. I stopped collecting Mattel wrestling figures a couple of years ago due to not enough Legends/Flashback figures to keep me interested. I did recently get a Mattel Macho Man and Elizabeth in a toy lot I bought and have them on display. I check in here from time to time to see what old school figures are being made. Who knows, maybe someday something will get announced to make me jump back in.

I'm 42. I'm old, fat, and angry. When I'm not telling kids to get off my lawn, I'm typically looking for toys. I mostly collect WWE Mattel figures. But I also collect Diamond/Marvel Select, Neca, and a few McFarlane figures...

32- My dad gave me some LJN figures and I've been collecting ever since. These figures are works of art that I can display and usually it's great conversation starters. It's something my father and I still bond over.

40. Been collecting figures since I was probably around three... MOTU, A Team, Transformers, Action Force (GI Joe), MASK - all the vintage stuff. Primarily, I collected Star Wars. I managed to get everyone except the white Bespin guard - and never did get one. I remember getting the scout walker for my 4th birthday. Collected Hasbros up until the age of 13/14, and then just stopped. Got back into it in 2000/01, when I started buying the JAKKS titan tron figs. There was a local, independent shop - sadly only lasted a year or so, that got in all the new figs. I had no internet access till 2003, and then with the aid of ebay and online stores, my collection really took off - and I've been buying figures to this day. My collection is totally miscellaneous - film, tv, music, sports, a couple of adult stars, and of course, wrestling. I'm not a completist though, and I'll basically cherry pick what I want.

I'm 21 and started collecting a couple of years ago.
I collect for two reasons:
Firstly I like the thrill of finding the perfect figure to match the perfect paint pen to get signed and display.
Secondly I spent a lot of my childhood oogling figures (mostly Jakks Classics) online and now I'm an adult and have the money to get the figures I always wanted as a kid.
