Wow $23? That's a lot cheaper than I expected. Ordered Omega immediately, Bucks later. Agree - even cheaper than WWE pre-orders. I was pleasantly surprised and ordered the elite ring and all of the figures except Kenny (since the Ring comes with another figure of him).

As a pretty casual buyer of wrestling figures, i really need to ask a question regarding the rare/chase figures, and no offence intended to anyone...
Do you NEED to buy every figure that ever comes out? If a "scalper" has one for $300 on eBay, could you just like, not buy it?
I'm confused by the anti-chase sentiment. I don't know why you'd be angry at a company for making them. If all 500 rare figures are bought up by Walmart Steve and put on eBay for $500 a piece, if you didn't buy them, Walmart Steve wouldn't be in the scalpers business anymore.

If all 500 rare figures are bought up by Walmart Steve and put on eBay for $500 a piece, if you didn't buy them, Walmart Steve wouldn't be in the scalpers business anymore. Just my two cents - others' opinions may be very different. I don't care for the chase figures, but am not a completionist. Better yet, I actually prefer the basic versions of both Cody and Jericho. So as you said, "just don't buy them" is my strategy, but I still would have preferred that they didn't handle the chase concept in this way. I think the way Mattel has handled chase figures in the main line has been spot on. They're slightly harder to find, but still obtainable and not going for that much higher than retail. But I have also seen chase concepts that cause major issues in lines. A few thoughts why I'm not a fan: -They're like chum in the water for scalpers. Scalpers are always an issue, but I've found that this kind of "in your face" chase packaging with a giant bright sticker intensify the issue. And that will lead to not just the chase being grabbed, but any other figure that might have a premium on the secondary market. It can also lead to base versions shelf warming because everyone is holding out hoping to find the premium version. -Some products will lock high demand characters or attires behind a limited print run, hoping to spike high secondary market prices and thus bring more attention to their brand. -People become fixated on "value" and rarity, which can create toxic fan communities where people are either trying to one-up each other or cut each other down -Jakks really went to the extreme and then some with super limited employee editions, etc. - it's a slippery slope, and I'd have preferred that we never started down that road to begin with. Just a matter of principal, but I believe that toys should be (reasonably) attainable by anyone who wants them. I'm not a fan of artificial scarcity or trying to manufacture a secondary market demand for your line. So it just rubs me the wrong way. A lot remains to be seen about how Jazwares handle these figures. Two per line at 1,000 and 500 pieces may not be terrible. But Jeremy also has a track record of exploiting limited run figures to an extreme degree, so there will be some healthy distrust on my end until I see how this plays out. As is, I don't like it, but it doesn't impact the way I collect. If they start putting figures who aren't available any other way (ie Tony Schiavone, or a flashback Jerry Lynn) into the limited chase slots, then that's a big problem to me. But I just think the trickle down effect of chase figures does more harm than good to the collector community.

So is it confirmed the title only comes with the chase Jericho? Was gonna pre order Jericho if he came with the belt.

I was going to preorder until the news about the AEW title. I wonder how many people cancelled their preorders or plans to preorder because of this.
Preorders were live before the news got out and ringside were advertising the series with the promotional pics of Jericho featuring a title. Seems like a case for false advertising

Are the young bucks the only figs without the upper thigh swivel? I think so. That’s the only thing stopping me from purchasing them.

I’m a little concerned that these figures are more the size of Deluxe Aggression figures than Mattel elites. The way they fit in a Classic Superstar-like packaging suggests they are.

How much were people trying to sell the chase figures for back in the Jakks says? I don’t wanna be paying $300 for a single figure. But I want them all! Depended on how popular the wrestler was. More popular guys, or guys with more attractive accessories (usually a belt) would easily have been about $300

Seems like a case for false advertising As soon as it was revealed the TNT videos showed the chase version they cropped the photos to show Jericho from the waist up only

The chase figures will go well above $300. And people actually buy those? Wow. The MSRP is $20, but scalpers will be selling at $300+

Well after seeing pictures/videos of Dustin, Jericho, Bucks, etc. holding the figures... I’m 99.8% sure these are in a larger scale than Mattel.
Maybe not Deluxe Aggression, but definitely Ruthless Aggression size.

The Authentic Scale Ring says it’s 3 to 1 for 6” figures. So it appears that these AEW figures will only be a tiiiiny bit smaller than Mattel Elites... if at all. Shit.
