So now that we have a seperate forum section, figured I may as well get the ball rolling on new threads. There's been plenty of speculation on mid card titles and what it might look like. I think it was Cody saying he and Tony had a unique idea for one.
What form would you like to see a mid card title in?
I love the nwa tv title concept, especially being able to earn a title shot with it.
I toyed with the idea of a triple threat title, something like that hasn't really been done before that I know of.

I love the idea of a mid card title. All their belts look great unlike the WWEβs.

Why not just make the Dynamite Diamond Ring a title?

a TV title would be very traditional and cool, but really I'll probably dig whatever Cody/Tony come up with. The roster is expanding and they have storylines up and down the card where a title would be great to fight for.

I think Cody has said they have an idea, and that it would be something different, so I donβt think it would be a TV title.

AEW Flippy Championship (Scientific Name: AEW 360 Championship)
If you don't perform 5 Flippy moves per match, you're automatically stripped of the Championship.
However, if you perform 10+ Flippy moves per match, you get a 30 day no-defence pass.

I'd go with a Six-Man Tag Team Championship. It's just a great device to use to push stables. A Singles division, a Tag Team division, and a Six-Man Tag division would be just right. They could also create these same divisions for the women.
For my 2nd choice, I'd go ahead and push the Mixed Tag Team Championship. It's 2020. It's time.

Look at the list you wrote out. Each entry, is just a TAG TEAM (which they have a division for, with championships) with an extra dude tacked on. Not a whole OTHER 3 man grouping of guys. Therefore, you're kind of killing your Tag Team division by doing this. I want the Television Championship, early 1990s WCW style, 15 minute time limit match, defended weekly. If you don't defeat the champion before the time limit is up, it goes down as a loss for you but a win for the champion. Thus adding onto the importance of the win/loss records and also giving a little wrinkle to it.

So that leaves us with: The Elite Inner Circle SCU Jurassic Express Dark Order Best Friends/Orange (This is a Stable. That hug they do, and if Orange was a singles Star, I don't think that gimmick would work the same) They could always create more Stables for the division, and reap the benefits of it.

I mean, Bucks/Kenny, Dark Order, SCU, Best Friends/Orange, Jurassic Express are all established three-man teams. Santana/Ortiz/Sammy are all in Inner Circle. Butcher/Blade/Wardlow all work for MJF. Hybrid 2 & Kip have worked together a couple of times in the past. I only put ones that are actually established as three-man teams, so I would say you are wrong on the "tag team with an extra dude tacked on." But I do see your point in killing the tag division. But if they were to introduce that title, they could create new teams. I agree with your points about the TV title too! I wouldn't mind the TV Title being the mid-card title they bring in!

Like on Lucha Underground I loved the oddball/strange bedfellow pairing of Angelico/Ivelisse/Son of Havoc and their run with the Six-Man Tag Titles. Would love a stable like that for AEW with people like Peter Avalon, Sonny Kiss, and Shawn Spears or something.

Six-Man Tag Titles don't do anything for me. It was ok in Lucha Underground as everything about LU was unique and different, but for ROH or NJPW I just don't care. I'm not even sure NJPW cares about them. So, not a fan. That said AEW does have a lot of groups that could go for them.

I'd be happy with just a AEW Dynamite Championship. Would be a singles mid card title and could be defended more on TV. Could build up more guys like the librarian, brandon cutler. And if they introduce it soon, kip and joey could fight over it instead of penelope.

Here's my idea, the AEW Hardcore Championship. No 24/7 rule. It would just guarantee at least one hardcore match on the card. Which is good to advertise, here's an example.
Tune into TNT to see Darby Allin as he defends his AEW Hardcore Championship against Jon Moxley next week right here on Dynamite.

Agreed. It makes sense if its defended on the weekly shows. Sounds better than "TV title" or "intercontinental", etc.

I like the idea of the TV title, have a 15 min time limit attached to it, simple as that

I also think a TV title is the way to go. I'm pretty sure it'll be a mid-card men's single title and I'll basically guarantee that Cody will win/elevate it since he can't go for the main title.

I like the idea of the TV title, have a 15 min time limit attached to it, simple as that I like the idea of a TV Title, but I watch NWA too and they have a TV Title with the time limit. So I think that hurts me wanting another TV Title. Like, I'm already seeing it done somewhere so I want something different for AEW. But if I watched AEW alone I would be all for the TV Title.
