Maybe an Internet Championship with online exclusive title defenses not aired on Dynamite.

Think the best route to go for a mid card title(really don't think they need one nor do most feds as and singles wrestlers goal should be going for the World Title and not a 2nd tier title)would be what I would call and Extreme or No Limits Title. This title would be defend in different type matches everytime and probably on a weekly bases as well. One week a regular one on one match, the next a street fight, the week after a submission match...ect would spice up the shows every week and with so many different type of gimmick matches could keep the fans interested on a week to week bases on what the match could be.

I would love to see a Television Championship in AEW. Have Arn or Tully unveil it at it’s debut ceremony.

They should do a TV title and that’s it after that. I hope they don’t overdo it like wwe.

I think the absolute ceiling in the company is 5 titles. 3 men's and 2 women's (tag titles when the division eventually gets big enough, literally years down the road). Tony is adamant that he wants the titles to really mean something, and they've been plugging that since day 1. I absolutely love NJPW, but they are terrible for having too many titles as well.

Why not just make the Dynamite Diamond Ring a title? If the new Championship Title Belt has to be for a new mid-card singles division, I'd go with the AEW Dynamite Diamond Championship Title Belt. Just have MJF change his ring to a Championship Title Belt, and have him defend it weekly...on Dynamite. I'd have MJF treat is as his version of the Million Dollar Belt at first. Actually I'd go with the Booker T's TNA Legends Championship Title Belt angle. Portray him as so arrogant, that he puts it up on the line against Cody. Now you have a ready made storyline to kick off its history.

By end of summer I'd love to see a Revolution Middleweight title.
Something for MJF and Darby to fight over before heading to the main title

I think MJF is going to be the first challenger to Mox (maybe Pac) and I think Darby won't be too long after. I think both guys are above the mid card title.

I'm all for another belt, but I think they're wise to hold off for now.
It's still a very small roster, and a lot of their roster is tied up in tag teams. I'm assuming that this recent tv deal will give them the guaranteed revenue to start to expand the roster over the next 6-9 months, plus whatever this second show will be.
That's where you add a midcard belt. I love the idea of a TV title, especially with their PPV schedule. But right now they've done a good job of building midcard singles feuds and elevating talent (Darby, Scorpio, MJF) without needing a midcard title to do it.

I'm sure the 2nd title will be launched with the 2nd tv show. It'd be wise if they waited and put some power behind that.

After Revolution I don't believe in a Mid-Card title for AEW anymore. Everyone in singles should be going after the World title
After the Bucks vs. Kenny/Page it's a shoe in for major Tag Team competition in the future meaning the Tag belts FINALLY HAVE some fricken meaning and value to them
IF they decide on another championship, I would say release one after their first visit to the UK and introduce an "AEW International Heavyweight Championship", like the old WCW International belt.

A 7/24 title just so I can read all the posts from everyone on how it's the greatest thing evaaaahh!!!! It'd certainly be handled better R-Truth was the absolute peak of that concept. For all the trios and factions forming, I really liking the idea of a stables championship. Defend it any way that makes sense, one on one, tag, trios, etc. Certainly hasn't been done before to my knowledge at least, and wouldn't really cheapen the tag belts like a trios title, or feel like a lesser title like a mid card one. (Not that I have an issue with mid card titles, they serve a purpose for sure)

To everyone talking about a six-man championship - the Bucks came out against that in a big way in September last year so I don't think we'll be seeing that.
As others have said, I'd like them to make the ring a mid-card accolade.
I'd like to see them do more tournaments and awards rather than having a belt to hot-potatoe around. Or have wrestlers competing over achievements like most consecutive wins, most consecutive matches without being pinned for a two-count etc.

I'd like to see them adopt some of the Japanese tournament ideas. One off shows, or weekend special events. Award trophies, and ribbons and make it seem important and yadda yadda, earn an automatic championship shot. Change the names, but basically feature a tournament for each division.
Real World Tag League - Tag Tournament Best of Super Juniors - Junior Heavyweight Tournament G1 Climax - Heavyweight Tournament A Womens Wrestling Tournament of some sort...
This could also give them a way to have some sort of Six-Man Tag Team Tournament, still putting emphasis on these 3 man groups, giving them some reward and earning them accolades throughout the year.

I know it might seem too old school, but sticking with trophies, medals, and championship rings would be a great way to establish a difference from everyone else who uses title belts. Think of the medals like military medals where each one represents a different accomplishment. For example: Ten match winning streak, pinned the reigning champion, won on Pay-Per-View, wrestled in an iron man match, won a battle royal etc. That way you have other prizes to elevate feuds in conjunction with personal issues.
Another upside of not having a traditional championship is that it masks the lack of depth of the different divisions. I speak from experience when I say being a wrestler is hard, but virtually all the women AEW has brought in are not even remotely ready for national television or pay per view bookings. That makes them unready to challenge for a title and a title is only as good as the champion and that champion is defined in part by the merit of the challengers. Focusing on the accomplishments of medals or trophies helps elevate the talent while keeping them from needing to be in the title picture. It just helps give the whole roster other things to do beside strive for a title that once you win it, there's nothing else to do once you've lost it.

I also think a TV title is the way to go. I'm pretty sure it'll be a mid-card men's single title and I'll basically guarantee that Cody will win/elevate it since he can't go for the main title. I'm going to start stretching for my victory lap. lol
