Has eBay ever been considered for new and exclusive sets?
I feel like the Legends line would be ideal for eBay - they all end up there anyway!

All of these store "exclusives" are usually found on ebay instead of the stores. Should just call them all ebay exclusives

Only chase figs I’ve found in stores were Pat Patterson & The Rock. With the rest it’s been eBay, friends/family helping out or people from this board.

Well, I will say this. Many ebay sellers had Survivor Series elites in massive quantities such as one seller who had Jeff Hardy and it said he had sold almost 70 already. That's an impossible amount to have scalped leading me to believe they got a hookup on cases somewhere along the line. Also, still never saw those at a Walmart anywhere.

Some ebay sellers have a retailers license and order cases from Mattel. There is something like a 50 case minimum order. |

Its actually not a terrible idea. It's like having mattycollector without all the over head. You just do BIN, limit how many can be bought and set the price.

It could be a Buy It Now Store maybe current contracts prohibit Mattel from doing this. Im sure they would explore all options to make as much money as possible, (you would think)
Would also be a great way to solve the international collectors issue with finding figures at all.
Most are bought on eBay on the secondary market why not through Mattel themselves.

Mattel with their own Ebay store, selling exclusives for a fair price to everyone around the world?
Great idea, which is why it won't happen!
They could care less if we find these things or not. As long as they're selling and making money, that's all they care about.
Even if the majority of them are going straight to scalpers.
