Just up on AEW Twitter, Lance Archer has officially joined AEW.
Great pickup, he really came into his own this last year with NJPW.

Oh good! I'm a TNA mark for seeing Hoyt get attention is a big popski for me! I wasn't the biggest fan of the Killer Elite Squad, but once they broke up I have loved Archer's work! His run in the G1 made me a huge fan!

I'm interested to see where AEW takes him. I think it's a good signing on their part, and I hope he excels there! I think he has a lot of potential.

I know his last 6-7 months or whatever has been the best stretch of his career but...

I'm interested to see what AEW does with him. I think he'd be an awesome tag guy. Ultimately, I just want a squash against Marko.

I always liked him in TNA, wish he was used better in WWE but we all know how that went, and seeing some of his NJPW stuff, i still do like him. He's got a cool look and he's a good big guy.
But i don't know if this is going to work out too well...
I think it might have been Cultaholic that made this point, but he's one of those big & intimidating international stars who had that certain aura in a place like Japan. But in a setting like AEW, he'd likely just blend in and there wouldn't be much special about him.
I hope he does well, he'd be a great 'big guy' for AEW. If Brodie Lee signs, the two of them could do some great big guy stuff together too. They'd both be great additions in that category with Luchasaurus and Jake Hay-Gar.

I'm happy to see Archer sign with AEW. It's another big guy on the roster. However, AEW's gotta slow down with all these signings. They barely have enough time to showcase all the talent they have. At least wait til TNT gives the 2nd show before signing new guys. IDK, just my opinion they've signed enough people, but I'm so happy for Archer. He's really been one of my favorites as a singles guy in NJPW ever since the G1. I already was a big fan of him and Harry Smith in a tag team. Good luck to him.

I totally get where you're coming from, but with WWE signing everyone they can to play keep away (they have like 400 people) they have to be proactive in signing talent.

Good pick up and so to will be Jeff Cobb & Luke Harper both which are strongly rumored.Same would be the case with Matt Hardy. In terms of AEW signing to many talents with only a 2 hour show and and extra hour with Dark that true but hopefully this will weed out some of the lesser talents or they could do like they stated they would and not have to have Cody,Omega,Bucks,Jericho,Page...ect on every show. You have one or two big matches per show with the bigger named talent and fill out the other two or three matches with the lesser talent to give them air time.
Like the idea of a Archer & Harper tag team.
