Is there anyway we can spin this to put the blame on Toys R Us? If TRU was still around then multi figure packs are more of a possibility. A box set of Matt, Jeff, and Lita would be something ideal for a TRU shelf. Unfortunately there’s not enough real estate in the Target or Walmart toy aisle for something like this.

They need to pump out as many Jeff's as they can right now before he leaves as well I think they’ve got that under control.

The WWE Shop exclusive really should have been 2000/2001 attires, especially considering the colour of Jeff's outfit is something he never wore in the era it's based on.

I'm sure the reason is if they give us their most, iconic look right off the bat then the other versions won't sell as well. Sometimes that causes them to get burned in the long run.

I dunno, I feel the Brood RSC two-pack is good enough for me. Mattel was pumping out figure after figure of both Matt and Jeff so it seems a little odd to accuse them of goldbricking in this case, especially when compared to the Dudleyz and Hogan. Almost every stage of Matt's career is represented in some form and the same could be said for Jeff.

While I would buy it, Team Xtreme isn’t a huge want for me. I wish I had bought the epic moments set, but both of the other two packs are good too. Especially the Brood set, that is so cool.

Literally all I wanted (besides 2003 V1 Matt which we sorta got, and 2003 Jeff which we did get) was Elites of Matt and Jeff in WMX7 attires with removable mesh shirts. What did we get? No WMX7 Matt at all, and a Basic Jeff in the tanktop mold with an Edge figure that had a weird head. We didn’t even get a 2000-2002 era Matt or Jeff with one of the vast number of t-shirts from that time period.
I hate to sound ungrateful, because we did get the Brood Hardyz, and Elites based off their respective singles runs in 2003, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that we wanted the prime 2000-2002 Matt and Jeff Hardy Elites. Mattel continues to drop the ball with delivering on what fans want. No Hollywood Hogan, no classic Dudleyz, and now no chance of a Team Xtreme era Matt (they might make Jeff, but I doubt it).

At least in this case a couple custom shirts and repaint of Brood Jeff’s hair will get you 2000 Hardy Boyz

When the Hardys re-signed I was convinced Team Xtreme would be among the first Hardy figures we got, for sure within a year. Booooooy was I wrong!

It's ridiculous that Mattel keeps dropping the ball on iconic looks for guys who have been under longterm contracts. The Dudleyz, Team Xtreme Hardys, WCW Jericho. It's not like these would be difficult figures to make or there isn't known demand. Curious to see what excuse Mattel will have on this one. I agree! Not only that but how do we still not have iconic figures that are still on the roster currently? It took 10 years for a hHh and we still haven’t got a proper 98 Undertaker in elite form.

Imo people will never be happy and always complain based on comments on this board
If they did a team extreme but not broken / woken people would've asked why no broken / woken since it was so over
If we never got the epic moments set from mania when they returned people would've complained because that was a big moment
They can't do a different Matt every other elite set to satisfy collectors when their main marker won't want 100 Matt figures

Mattel continues to drop the ball with delivering on what fans want. No Hollywood Hogan, no classic Dudleyz, and now no chance of a Team Xtreme era Matt (they might make Jeff, but I doubt it). I think that’s pushing it. Hollywood was in production when his troubles came out of left field. Now that he’s back, they still can’t do anything until his other contract expires. We had Dudley elites and a basics BP when Bubba decided he wanted to do other stuff. And you can’t go more than 2-3 series without finding a Hardy brother. Someone asked me why Uncle Fred got Tugboat, Typhoon and Shockmaster so quick but not Hogan. He was popular for a much shorter amount of time. Mattel probably realized that they weren’t going to get much mileage out of it, so they might as well do it now. People will remember Hogan for decades after he’s gone, if not longer. And finally, what if Matt goes elsewhere for a year or two and then comes back to WWE with a legends contract? Does that mean Mattel can’t make a Team Xtreme at that point?

I said something about this a while back, y’all seemed surprised. They did the same with Hogan. They actually do it just about to everybody. Ain't that the truth. Everybody wanted Hollywood, and Hulk Still Rules but what we got They did it with RVD too. I'm amazed at how badly they whiff on the simplest stuff.

I think it has been mentioned that Mattel doesn't have as much freedom as Jakks did. Jakks seemed to be completely left alone by Vince and WWE judging by some of the CS figures we got. Mattel needs approval from WWE in regards to everything down to attire choice. It doesn't shock me in the least that Vince and Stephanie would not allow WCW and ECW versions of people. Even older WWE versions. Maybe I'm just making excuses for them though. There was a WCW Jericho that they dilly dallied on and had to cancel when he left. I can kind of understand that one because everyone thought he was a WWE guy for life but they made like 4 or 5 Jericho elites during his last run there and we just barely even got an Undisputed Champion one Didn't Bill confirm that Jericho was supposed to have a previously unreleased WCW title with him, too?

I think it was Steve, but yeah, I think it would have included the Cruiserweight belt. Whether the blame is on Mattel, WWE, or all of the above, it's stuff like this that burns collectors.

Would he great to get a Rey with the belt but knowing Mattel it'd just be a Target exclusive or something stupid.

Atleast with all these legends going to AEW, maybe Jazwares will start making them. Can they make legends in their old ring gear if they havent used them in AEW?

Most attires should be fair game, as long as they don't use any trademarked logos, images, or phrases. Some guys, like Jake Roberts, may be under existing WWE merch deals that would prevent other figures. But there should be a lot of possibilities for stars of the past if/when Jazwares goes down that path. Think similar to the Storm Hogans. They couldn't use NWO logos, but were still able to produce a figure that was Hollywood era Hogan.
