Apologies if this question may have been asked and answered, but is there any particular reason why Mattel haven’t shown some proper love to Eddie?
I mean he has some classic attires, looks, and icon t-shirt designs to use.
To my knowledge, he’s only had releases in limited exclusive store lines and no mainstream/international release to the masses?
I’m Your Papi - make it happen!!!

He was in the Legends line also which wasn’t limited. All stores carried the Legends and they ended up being sold to discount stores.

It's kind of insane to me that we haven't gotten a Halloween Havoc 1997 Eddie figure yet. Jakks gave us two of them, IIRC, and it's a chance to release the WCW Cruiserweight Title and give us a new version of a popular legend.

It's baffled me for years, same with Bret. Other than the E43 and Ultimate, He's never had a release that wasn't an exclusive of some sort. Bret and Eddie are two guys who would fly off the shelves in any Elite line so it's crazy how Mattel haven't included them as much as they should've. Do they not like money???

His other figs have been the 3 HOF figs (1 of which was in a scrapped 4 pack and released in australian bargain bins) and basics. He needs more respect in elite form.

I was actually thinking about this the other day too! I was trying to think of Mattel Eddie's and was blanking on regular Basic or regular Elite line figures. I do think it's odd we haven't gotten a Halloween Havoc two-pack with Rey Mysterio yet.

i believe it has something to do with Vickie (who would be the owner of his Estate) she is not longer employed and would not accept any royalties or anything like that, we don't get any more DVDs or EG network specials either do we?
RIP

RIP Didn't think about that. I know she appeared on AEW and WWE apparently banned WWE talent from doing her podcast. So yeah, that might have something to do with it.

This was only very recent though. Mattel has gone 10 years without releasing a main line Elite Eddie. It boggles my mind

What figure was scrapped? The NWO/LWO 4-Pack? If so it was in US Targets. I bought two at my Target. One at full price and the other on Clearance. Anyway once they released the WCW HOC series 1(?) figure that was the last Eddie I needed. And if that figure was released first in the Legends line I probably wouldn’t have purchased any of the others. That said the same could be said for Surfer Sting, Piper & the Hitman all of which I feel are bigger names than Eddie.

RIP Still doesn't explain the lack of figures when she was employed/on good terms.

The fact he's only had 3 main line elites is strange to me. Then there's HOF and SummerSlam. Another decent sized name getting rare elite love.

To be fair, none of his figures were hard to get when released. If you're without now, thats on you.

To be fair, none of his figures were hard to get when released. If you're without now, thats on you. The Legends one was released almost 10 years ago at this point. The other 3 were retailer exclusives, and alot of people never saw those. This doesnt explain why he never got another release.

My collection cuts off in 2001 so I’m pretty satisfied with the Eddie’s we have, but I can definitely understand the frustration of not having more of Eddie from his prime.

To be fair, none of his figures were hard to get when released. If you're without now, thats on you. They were very hard to get and expensive for international users. At the time of its release with the strength of the Canadian dollar, it had suddenly become $70CAD with shipping included even to directly order it from RSC. At the time, I was working a minimum wage job and was a student. I couldn't in good conscience drop that kind of cash on a wrestling figure. Figures which were available at retail prior to Mattel taking over (Canada had limited distribution of Elite 1-6, then nothing, then 32-39, then nothing, now we're just about at the same pace). I mean, since then I've finished school and have a well paying job and can afford to drop such flow on a figure, and do own it now, but surely you could see why someone missing out could be more complicated than it just being on them.
