Ric Flair. WrestleMania he should've main evented: VIII vs Randy Savage Goldberg. Probably would've main evented 1-2 if he stayed in WWE past 2004 Kane. I have no idea what WrestleMania he could've main evented Eddie Guerrero. Easily would've main evented 2-3 had he not passed away Mr. Perfect. vs Bret Hart at WrestleMania X Rob Van Dam. One of my favourites, but I couldn't have seen Vince pulling the trigger on a WrestleMania main event with him; unless he stayed red hot as WWE Champion Rey Mysterio. vs Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton at WrestleMania 22 with 25 minutes and not 9! Ricky Steamboat. vs Randy Savage II at WrestleMania IV for the WWE Championship CM Punk. vs The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. WWE Championship reign vs The 20-0 Streak: One Has To Give
Who Shouldn't Have Main Evented WrestleMania:
Roman Reigns. WrestleMania 32, 33, and 34 John Cena. WrestleMania 22, 23, and 29 Hulk Hogan. WrestleMania V, VII, VIII Triple H. WrestleMania X8, 22, 25, 32 The Miz. WrestleMania 27 Yokozuna. WrestleMania IX and X Sycho Sid. WrestleMania 13 The Rock. WrestleMania 2000 and 29 Big Show. WrestleMania 2000 Lawrence Taylor. WrestleMania 11

Id rather have seen Punk vs. Rock vs. Cena in a triple threat at Mania 29 instead of Cena/Rock II. Punk still as champion facing the ultimate odds, Cena could have pinned Rock giving him the rub back from Mania 28, and Punk could have gone on as the bitter heel having never been pinned to lose the Title he held for 504 days up until that point.

Eh, the problem with that is that looking back it's easy to say what should have changed, but at the moment when things were going down as they were, each main event probably seemed like the best thing to have happen at that moment.

Who Shouldn't Have Main Evented WrestleMania: Hulk Hogan. WrestleMania V, VII, VIII I could see 7 and 8 but wth 5? The Mega Powers exploded, nothing else should’ve main event Mania V besides that The Rock. WrestleMania 2000 What? Why not, he had a feud with Triple H and most think the main event of Backlash that year should’ve been Mania’s.

You're silly with the Roman and Cena ones. We get it. You don't like them.

You're silly with the Roman and Cena ones. We get it. You don't like them. I'm sorry to break it to you, but you're blinded by your bias towards my professional wrestling preferences. John Cena did not need 5 WrestleMania main events and Roman Reigns did not need 4 consecutive. Before you issue your counter argument, I'm not bias towards Cena/Reigns at all

I definitely disagree with your list of people who shouldn't have main evented. But it is crazy looking back that Punk never did. Like 20 years from now when they do all the documentaries about this era, it will be strange to see how over he was, how fans chanted his name after he left, and he never main evented. I'm not a big fan of his but I can't deny his star power.

Flair/Savage should have been the main event, but the Mega Powers colliding was a big deal at V, and the super patriot winning the belt back from the traitor was a feel good moment for VII. I'm not sure if you lived through those Manias live, but those were good calls and definitely had to be the big match. Same with IX and X. Nobody at that time was as dangerous as Yokozuna. There was a feeling that he was unstoppable. XI was just a bad show from top to bottom. Diesel and Shawn could have just as easily been in the top slot, but with the rest of the show shaping up like it did, Vince knew he needed something to get people tuning in, so we had the spectacle that was LT. And the rest is history. It was a big deal when it happened though. 13? Well, sure, Bret/Austin was a much better match, but you have to remember, back then the Heavyweight title match was still usually the main event more often than not. Plus, it gave us Taker's first meaningful title reign. Mania 2000 was more about the McMahons than anything else, so really, the four guys were interchangeable.

I feel like that HAS to main event.

What the would you have main event WM V if not two of the biggest stars blowing off a year long feud?

He has Hulk Hogan vs Macho Man Randy Savage as shouldnt have been a main event but not Yokozuna vs Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania IX which was the last match and therefore technically, the main event.

WrestleMania 2000 and 29 Lawrence Taylor. WrestleMania 11 Ric Flair was part of the Double Main Event at WM8 so he did main event it. For Hulk, Wrestlemania V was the biggest PPV for the WWF a record that lasted a decade all due to the Mega Powers exploding, you couldn't get any better than that. Wrestlemania VII perhaps that I can agree with, and 8 was his fairwell match so makes sense. However not having Hulk in the main event is a bad business move since he's the biggest draw. For Yokozuna sorry but he was what was keeping the WWF a float, not Bret Hart who wasn't drawing in his first title run and at WMX Yoko was unstoppable and had to be beaten. The Rock for 2000 no way, he was so over he was the second top guy in the business and without Austin he HAD to main event that and it sucks that it was a fatal-4-way that was all about the McMahon family instead. Disagree with Lawrence Taylor, of course he isn't a wrestler, but celebrities back in the day are good for the business. Without the $4 million Tyson deal in 1998 who knows what would've happened because he brought in the mainstream to watch RAW.

I can understand the debate over The Rock, but I thought Cactus Jack vs Triple H inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 2000 instead of No Way Out would've been a better way for Foley to go out instead of returning

I feel like Roddy Piper should have main evented Wrestlemania II with Hogan in a 1 on 1. That was a white hot feud and I feel like they never got all they could out of it.

WrestleMania 11 I would crawl 50 miles over broken glass to sweat in Shane's shadow, and even I know that Wrestlemania 2000 was awful. That... nope. Just nope. Never should have happened. I enjoyed some of the lead up to it, and the fallout wasn't physically painful to watch, but the entire setup of that main event was horrid. Mick should never have been brought back like that. Even he regrets it, and I'm pretty sure it's his only WM Main Event. Big Show was a big no at this point. Pretty much everything he touched turned to crap. The Rock? He had a purpose, but not in this setting. HHH? Same as The Rock. Really I second the idea that, if you had to have the match, make it Triple H vs The Rock. Foley was unneeded and Show was unwanted. And nobody on God's Green Earth ever wanted to see four McMahons in one main event, and that includes me. It was embarrassing.
