Wrestling Memories WWF Food
The talk of these new WWE Ice Cream Bars has really got me thinking about the wrestling-related food I used to enjoy back in the day. I know that many people have fond memories of the WWF Ice Cream Bars, but I never had them as a kid and to be honest, I am not even sure you could get them in the UK, if you could I never had them. I always remember seeing advertisements for them in the WWF Magazine and wishing I could have one! While I never had those, I did have some other WWF food as a kid. The first one I want to talk about is the WWF Crisps/potato chips. My school actually sold these in the tuck shop and I bought a packet every single day they were available. I loved the Undertaker ones and also enjoyed the Macho Man ones, but I never even tried the Bret Hart ones as I hated pickled onion Space Raiders so no way in hell, I was trying those! This would have been around 1992 time that these were available if I remember right. There was also this WWF SuperStars Cereal around the same time which was freaking amazing! When I was looking online for pictures, I noticed that there were many different boxes, but the only ones I ever got as a kid (or remember) had Hulk Hogan or Ultimate Warrior on the box. You got a free mask on the back of each box and if I remember rightly there were two different masks to collect. This cereal was not only cool because it was WWF cereal it also tasted great! My mum would never in a million years eat something like this, but she would always comment on how nice it smelled. It was this caramel flavor and as I write this, I can just picture the taste right now! The next thing I am going to talk about is this WWF Bubblegum that was available for what seemed like forever where I went to school. You got a little piece of bubblegum that would lose its flavor after about three seconds. However, each piece came with a WWF Sticker. I had these all over my school books and would trade them with my friends at school. While the picture I found online has British Bulldog on the wrapper, I remember there being many different wrestlers. These were super cheap at the time so I would usually stock up whenever I saw them. There very well could have been wrestling food-related items here in the UK after this, but I never experienced them. Actually, it was not until I went to work in the USA in the summer of 2001 that I would get my next bit of WWF food. Now my memory is kind of fuzzy here, but I got these nuts that were BBQ flavor and they had some kind of WrestleMania promotion on them. I looked and I looked, but I could not find a picture online the fact I cannot remember what brand they were or anything like that. In 2002 I was in a comic/collectible store here in the UK called Forbidden Planet and they had WWF Chocolate Bars. They had a few different characters, but the one I bought was Chris Jericho, the chocolate was super cheap tasting, but it sure as hell was not cheap to buy as it was £1.50! Also in 2002, Burger King did a promotion with the WWE here in the UK. I do not remember what all the stuff was, but I do know that I got this plastic cup that had The Rock on it. I used it to keep my toothbrush in until one day I noticed it was starting to get moldy and gross so I had to throw it out. Burger King also did a promotion many years later where you got this little wrestling buddy thing, I have an Undertaker one somewhere when you press it, you can hear a 2-second clip of his music. The last two wrestling food items I remember are biscuits. One I cannot find any information about these anywhere! This had to have been around 2002-2004 and they were sold in a store called Tesco. They were WWE chocolate biscuit bars and they were called WWE Snack Down. If I remember right, each packet had a different wrestler on it. Wagon Wheels also did a promotion where you would buy a pack and each one would have a different wrestler on it. I really regret never keeping the packaging for these food items. I kept that Chris Jericho Chocolate Bar for years and then it just vanished! I would love to know what WWF/WWE food-related items you had over the years. I bet you guys in the USA have had tons of stuff over the years not to mention many fast-food tie ins!

I wish I had those WWE popcorn cups You talking about the juice just reminded me that I am sure here in the UK we had WWF juice that came in boxes in the 90s. Can anyone else confirm this or am I imagining it? It may have been a promotion for something rather than actual WWF juice.

Did anyone ever get to eat at Pastamania back in the day? No.All I remember from this endeavor is the plug on the first Nitro.
I'll throw another one out there... Anyone ever try a Mean Gene burger?

Holy crap how could I leave out the Hulk Hogan Grill!! This was one of the greatest kitchen appliances I ever bought. It was a million times better than a George Forman grill. I was legit devastated when one of the heating elements broke I tried to get a replacement but they were out of production by then

Wow! I forgot those bubble gums existed! Those stickers ended up all over my bedroom. Good times!

There's conflicting accounts on whether or not he was to be the original spokesman for what became the George Foreman Grill however.

I know it’s not classic, but the new wwe ice cream sandwiches are delicious! Better than the old bars imo.

I remember those body slam drinks but hadn't thought about them since 1997. I remember buying them frequently but don't think they lasted long.
One of my favorites was the 1990 cookies. The backs looked like a toy card back with like 12 pictures of wrestlers on the back. That doesn't seem to show up too often.
Of course there's the ice cream bars. They were so much better than anything else in the ice cream truck.

I think they were out in early 1991. I'm not sure if any earlier or later.

Mean Gene had licensed his name for hamburgers. Hulk Hogan had his own brand of frozen cheeseburgers called Hulkster Cheeseburgers.
