LOVED IT! This is exactly what I was hoping Raw and Smackdown would be! They put on a real show! Nothing changed except the crowd! Loved the Brodie reveal! I had said if the Exalted One IS Matt Hardy I would eat my hat, so luckily I don't have to! LOVED the Matt reveal at the end! Such a great episode! They really entertained and took my mind off of things! They should be proud for such a new company to handle this situation so well!

JR seemed to be under the impression that they wouldn't be on next week. At some point he said, "whenever we see you again" like he had no idea when the next show would be.
Jericho was talking at the end about fans being banned now though like there are plans to keep doing it.
Way better show than I was expecting for an empty arena. I didn't hear anyone calling spots. I thought the wrestlers at ringside did a good job of helping with that. MJF was f*cking great all night. "Your neck tattoo looks like something Excalibur drew when he was 5." Gold. I also thought it was hilarious when Matt Hardy was doing his arm gesture and Jericho yelled, "JUST SAY DELETE!" Haha.
Awesome to see Brodie Lee there, but his look is brutal. F*cken horrible. His jab at Vince was deserving and funny. He had Christopher Daniels set up like he was going to do "Sister Abigail" before he turned it into a clothesline. Is that something he's done before? Or was that a nod to Bray Wyatt?
I don't know if The Blade was hurt or just forgot the spot, but Jungle Boy running across the ring for the dive and then climbing threw them and kicking him looked really bad. And then they showed a replay of it. Ugly.
No Pac. What's up with that? Lucha Bros. vs The Best Friends with Orange Cassidy, and Pac isn't there to even up the numbers game? I don't know who said "you kicked my friend in the dick" but I laughed at that.
Why was Brandi the ring announcer? She will do anything to be on TV. Stupid Nightmare Collective story. Did commentary. Started coming to the ring with Cody every match even though he's already got Arn Anderson. Now she's the ring announcer. Referee or time keeper next week? Place your bets.

I’m glad they made some sensible calls having Hardy in a main event spot and having talent at ringside to add some atmosphere. Cornette recommended both of those things, but that’s besides the point. The company still has a bit too much flippy nonsense but they have enough good pro wrestling that I really want them to succeed. Also butcher/blade against Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus is slowly becoming a life blood for this promotion. They’ve been filling the program for weeks This is exactly what makes this company special. You may not like the flippy nonsense, but some others live and die by it. Likewise they may not like the more classic pro wrestling the way you do. They really meant it when they said something for everybody. Seriously though, Butcher/Blade are really good. Favourite signing of people I'd never heard of before.

I know it's just a show but it meant so much tonight with what was put together, to actually laugh, be entertained and mark-out at that awesome ending with finally getting back to what looks to be the true Broken Matt Hardy...the world is falling apart around us right now, but it meant so much to get an all too short escape and a smile tonight.

Damn, AEW brought it tonight. Raw was one of the worst piles of crap I've ever turned off. I was afraid that wrestling wouldn't work in an empty arena, but it turns out that it can. What a show! It wasn't the best, but it was probably up there. I'm actually pretty psyched for next Wednesday's show. I'm severely depressed right now, and pretty much everything WWE has done since we've been placed under house arrest has only made me feel worse and highlighted just how badly everything sucks. AEW actually made me (mostly) forget about it for a couple of hours.

Cody's interview at the beginning, Brodie Lee debuting, Matt Hardy debuting, the wrestlers in the audience cheering and booing, THAT is how you put on a TV show with no fans. The WWE needs to learn from AEW as odd as that may sound.
Tonight's show was awesome. My girlfriend and I watched it and we were both entertained the entire night. Unlike when we watched Smackdown on Friday. Goes to show a wrestling promotion can put on a TV show with no fans and make it entertaining.

I feel sorry for those RAW/SD fans...the whole empty performance centre/ppv match re-runs is such a half-assed attempt to entertain on WWE's part. Even the angle of the hard camera away from the empty seats was a great call by AEW. I wish Ricky Steamboat would join the vets in this crew to add more knowledge and coach the young guys. Having Jake, Tully and Arn already is incredible.
Then I look at <25 year old talent like MJF, Darby, Jungle Boy & Sammy and my heart warms knowing the future is bright!

All things considered, that was one of the most enjoyable shows I've watched. It was a much-needed distraction from everything going on, and they made the show feel "normal" even in insanely abnormal conditions.
Top to bottom, the show was great. And dropping two big debuts surely helped, even if Brodie needs to get some better ring gear. I'm hoping this draws some new viewers to the product. With basically everything else in the country shut down, it was a really great night of action and escapism.

Great show. I saw a couple botches, but that always happens. The "crowd" was funny, and kind of exciting to see who was doing what out there. Cody's promo gave me chills at the start...just straight heart with a serious overtone. Bravo. Loved Brodie and Matt showing up. That white Brodie gear was fire! (I assumed that was a mh ode) the purple and black was awful. Orange Cassidy did a sort of coffin drop, ahem, slothin drop (that's for you czw4life ), but no one made a quip on commentary about that....shame. His sleeping was hysterical....give that man an award. Chuckie T loves the mic, and it loves him. Commentary with Jericho making each other pop was gold. The women's match was fairly decent. Brandi had a good voice for the announcer, but Justin was missed. The vignettes were great, and a nice mix with the action, but did anyone else have Ready to Rumble flashbacks with the Archer ring in the country promo? And no one mentioned Sammy's cards, or his asking Brandi out because she's married to a loser....classic bits. Great stuff, and hopefully it can go well again next week, but I don't know how long it can stay entertaining without the audience participation. Not that it is paramount, but they are the proverbial 12th man. Why do I feel the orange ----? line by Jericho is my favorite line again this week...I know it isn't most folks, but it get my best of the week award. VPV

"you want to kick my partner in the dick?" - Chucky T is the best line of the week!

I liked Cody’s opening speech although it kind of had the Vince post 9/11 Raw speech feel to it.
Loved the wrestlers being the “crowd”.
I haven’t finished watching it yet, but I really didn’t care about Brodie Lee former cult follower in the WWE being the Cult leader in AEW. To me that’s a mistake. Regardless of his talent he’s a guy who was only a follower in the WWE comes to AEW and is the leader. I would have had him come in to fight the Dark Order. Otherwise I liked the shot he took on Vince his promo, but hated his ring attire.
And as far as Matt Hardy goes I already know I won’t care. I was never a fan of the Woken/Broken gimmicks. The guy should have retired prior to their return at WrestleMania a few years back. He could barely move and was a shell of himself at that point.

I really thought this show was going to be worse than it was.
Having the extra wrestlers in the crowd was an amazing cover up for the empty arena. QT & MFJ betting on the matches and heckling the wrestlers was funny and added much needed noise/context to the show.
They did a pretty good job considering the circumstances. Personally i've never gotten into hardy's broken/woken gimmicks and don't even know what they are. If anyone can get me up to speed on what they are supposed to be that would be great.
I am kinda bummed that brodie lee is the exalted one as I would of much rather had hardy leading them. I would liked brodie lee to be the one to break out of a "team" setting and get a singles push he deserves.
At least he's gotten a lot better at promos since the last time I watched him.
Are they having a show next week or are we in limbo now?

I'm guessing they're working with as limited a crew as possible given the CDC's recommendations. Didn't need Pac this week to advance the story. Didn't need Roberts to ring announce since Brandi would already be there, plus she has announcing experience. I'm not a fan of Brandi either, but I think this is unnecessary bashing on her this time.

czw4life They made a conscious decision to advertise "next Dynamite" instead of next week, so they won't have to adjust if drastic measures are taken in the US.

As soon as the drone appeared I jumped Doesnt that drone shoot fireworks? If so, then it should just blast all members of Inner Circle in the Blood and Guts Match and call it a night.

Oh yay, more second tier castaways added to the roster. And yay, another "shot" at old Vince McMahon by a barley good indy worker. Oh and yay! A played out gimmick that was fun three years ago, not bad two years ago, getting boring one year ago, and could not care less yesterday ago.
Hardy is 45 years old. Where is everyone crying that he is going to be taking one of the younger workers spot? Brodie Lee is 40. Same with him.
I was getting to like AEW because what they are doing with the younger workers. But now it's just the same ol with them putting all the older workers in main event spots.
But I forgot! It's AEW. ThEY RuuuuuuLEZZ!!! lol

ThEY RuuuuuuLEZZ!!! lol relax, they just made their debut. Brodie is in a position that "leads" younger guys almost exactly like jericho is doing with the inner circle. Once this elite thing with matt is over he will probably slide into a similar position, to make stars and help them become something. Does hardy or even brodie for that matter have anything left to prove? not really they've made it to the top and stayed there for years. AEW is still a growing company, stars aren't going to be made over night. But these vets like jericho are what help the company stay familiar to new fans coming in while at the same time helping the new faces become relevant and recognizable. Do you think sammy would be as notable if he wasn't in the inner circle and was pushed by jericho? Probably not..
