For fans of tag team wrestling, there are few legends bigger than The Rock n’ Roll Express. Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton practically wrote the book on tag team wrestling as a babyface, and even showed last year during their latest run as the NWA Tag Team Championships that they are among the best in the business. Ricky Morton was busting out Suicide Dives & Canadian Destroyers at 63 years old, showing that if you don’t stop working, ring rust will never accumulate. However, Morton has run into some hard times with his health, as he has been diagnosed with Bell Palsy.
“Last Tuesday, I woke up and got ready to go to the gym I went downstairs and had me a cup of coffee and I noticed the coffee running out of my mouth,” Morton said. “It really scared me. I ran in the bathroom and I saw that my face looked disfigured.”
“I thought that I might be having a stroke but I went to the hospital,” Morton continued. “They told me it was brought on by stress and everything but I have a touch of Bell’s palsy. It looks like it’s starting to clear up a little bit. I can shut my eyes and start talking. I just wanted to tell the wrestling world out there, if you see me, don’t run off. I’m doing good. Physically wise, I’m great.”
He urged fans that he is fine and will be making a full recovery, but it will still take time. It could often take up to two months for everything to be clear, but Ricky Morton will be fine in the end. It’s unclear how many matches the legend has left in him, but he is proving to be one tough S.O.B.

I read the title quick, "Wrestling legend Ricky Morton..." and got scared that he had passed away. Pro wrestling fans have unfortunately grown accustomed to that kind of tragic news over the years. Obviously, his diagnosis is very serious, but I'm just glad that he is alive and well expected to make a full recovery.

I was never really a huge RnR Express fan. I liked them and respect what they did, but they were never in my “top 5” favorite teams. That said I am glad he’s expected to have a full recovery.

I am glad Ricky Morton is gonna get better. Scary thing is now that he may suffer from another episode. Jim Ross had a few in his life time, and I hope the same doesn't happen for Ricky, but you never know now.

I hope to goodness he makes a good recovery. He's done so much for the profession and we cannot thank him enough.
