Sounds like the perfect title for Shawn Spears to hold while he somehow puts on some  ing mid matches with the likes of Darby, Death Triangle and Orange Cassidy. |

This is awesome. Even though it is small - 8 guys is nothing when they could highlight an entire roster - I love tournaments. WWE has not done them right for a long time, because like Pritchard says ‘Vince hates tournaments.’

A little anti climatic, they were making it seem like a revolutionary concept, never been done before. It’s a modern day TV title but that’s fine by me.

The WWE should rename the United States Championship the USA Network Championship The WWE should rename the Intercontinental Championship the FOX Network Championship, or the FN Championship Title Belt!! |

I was thinking the same thing!
I would love for it to be Spears vs. Cody in the finals with Spears getting the win. To see Blanchard and Anderson outside of their respective men - both who were great TV Champions back in the day - would be just too perfect.

People on Facebook are scoffing at the name, but it's a TNT Championship, one a show called DYNAMITE on the TNT network. It's hand in glove.

That's a clever way of introducing a mid-card title, while also enhancing the relationship between TNT and AEW. I've been hoping they would pull the trigger on a mid-card championship sooner rather than later based on the influx of talent that's been coming in lately. Hopefully Double or Nothing takes place as expected.

Cody, Jericho, Hangman, or Kenny should be the only guys who win this tournament. The title needs a top tier guy to be the 1st to hold it. Since Omega & Hangman will probably hold on to the titles until DoN, that leaves Jericho and Cody. Let's be honest, Cody makes the most sense.
On a side note, Double or Nothing ain't happening in May...

I might have preferred a 16 man to an 8 man tournament, but it probably has something to do with travel and gathering restrictions currently in place. They're running shows with a skeleton crew and just about everybody they used last week lived in FL or nearby. And with all the people from NYC fleeing to Florida, travel restrictions are probably greater this week.
Blood and Guts was supposed to be the big angle that kick started new storylines. So while this isn't ideal, I appreciate that they're finding a way to give us something fresh without spoiling the big angle.
