Was there any consideration to have Razor as the champ? I haven't read anything before but he was a great heel when he debuted. I only know of his match with Bret Hart but he also main evented with Savage, Flair and Perfect (replacement for Warrior).

Had he stuck around, i'd say he would have been World Champ at least once within the next 2-3 years.

There most likely was, but from all accounts Scott Hall didnt want the title as he felt the responsibilities would be too much for him to handle.

I loved Razor Ramon, but I feel he was right as the Intercontinental champion. I do not see any point where I would have had him as champion over Bret, Yokozuna or Diesel. For me, he was a fantastic Intercontinental champion and one of the last few guys to really make that title seem important to me.

I think if Razor was to be WWE Champion, he would have had a Sycho Sid type reign. Where you hold the title for a month and then drop it.
To be honest I am more surprised they never put the WCW Title on Scott Hall. I know he had some issues with his drugs and drinking then, but it didn't seem to matter to WCW. They would put title belts on anyone.

I couldn't see him as WWF Champ even though I would've been all for it.
I am surprised he didn't at the very least get a brief run with Big Gold in WCW.I remember rooting for em at SuperBrawl 00 to win it in the triple threat match with Sid and Jarrett.

That's exactly the match I was thinking of too! I really thought Scott Hall was gonna win the WCW Title at SuperBrawl that night. It wasn't much longer after that though that Hall was released from WCW. So maybe that was a reason why he never won it then.

Plus, had he stayed, the curtain call would have likely never happened. So Triple H would have gone on to win KOTR, and Austin wouldn't have had the iconic promo (At least yet). So the whole landscape would have been different, a spot for Razor definitely would have existed.

No I don't think he would lads....He was incredibly over but HBK was Vinces guy from mid 1995. if he hadn't left he may not even have been in the IC pic...original plans for WM12 called for him to regain from Goldust. he got his revenge on Kid at IYH:Rage In the Cage & Goldust was next. Hall got suspended for drugs issues & those plans changed. The offer from WCW hoved into view and the rest is history.

I wonder what would have happened if Razor had regained it then?? Goldust would have had to have gotten it back eventually. It seems like that would have killed Goldust off right there. The build up for Goldust and Johnson for KOTR seemed perfect, so to imagine Razor holding the belt again seems unique.
My guess is Razor would have dropped the belt to Triple H in time if so.

I'm also more surprised Hall didn't hold the WCW title rather than the WWF one. In fact, I always thought he HAD but WCW champ until years later.
I can see why he didn't get the big belt in the WWF. As a heel he was too new to hold the belt in 92/93 (dude was green as hell). As a face he was pretty far behind Bret and Diesel in popularity. He coulda got the Sid run but he was gone by the company then.
I think realistically, in the 90s if anyone who never got the big belt who COULD have, it would have been Owen in Backlund's spot (beat Bret-drop to Diesel) or Billy Gunn in that Vince McMahon spot in 99.

I'm more intrigued by what would have happened if HBK hadn't been concussed.....He had beaten Razor at Summerslam 1995 and that seemed to be Razor done with the belt. then the entire Dean Douglas thing etc happened. HBK was world title bound....so he would have dropped the IC at some point or would he knowing how high Vince was on him?

He wasn't concussed at that event.
Shane talks about this in a shoot he did with Hannibal not too long ago. Something along the lines of, "we all arrived at the event, and Shawn was joking with me, and having a good time, smiling. I went off to change and I was asked to come see Vince. I go into this dark room where the light is on just above Vince. Vince has me sit down and says, "what do you think about Razor Ramon is IC Champion?" I looked at him and said, "it's okay" knowing then something was up. Just then I heard Ramon talk, for he was in the dark sitting on a chair waiting to see what my answer would be. I got done and saw Shawn in the makeup chair, I asked, "getting some work done to look pretty?" and he said, "Yeah" and joked about that. Later on that night for the match, he comes out all bruised and battered, handing me the title, only for me to drop it to Ramon."
I am paraphrasing of course, but that's pretty much what he says in the shoot with Hannibal. So Shawn wasn't concussed that night. He dropped the IC Title without getting pinned to make him look strong to win that Rumble and WWE Title.
However, if Shane would have joined the Kliq like Shawn asked him to do so, then I am sure Shawn would have been happy to lay it down for the "Dean" that night being he was one of his boys then.

Ahhhh I see. Nice one. Shane Douglas should have joined the Kliq….everyone in it was huge. He would have been no different.

I'm pretty sure I said how that never happened before but I will say it here in case anyone didn't know.
After a WWE event one night, everyone went to the hotel. Shane was at the front desk and Shawn comes up to him and tugs at him and says, "pizza and beer in my room, you're invited." So Shane and Shawn had a history together, cause in 1991 Shawn, Marty, Shane and Dustin Rhodes rode together while all four were in the WWE then. So Shane went up to his room and there was Shawn, Nash, Hall, Kid and Hunter.
Shane said what he saw made his stomach turn. Them talking about ways to bury guys like Lafitte, Holly, Candido and others. Shane then left that night and wanted nothing to do with them. That is when Shane became enemy number one for the Kliq.
Remember, Dean Douglas first big win was over 123 Kid on Superstars. Next big win was over Razor at In Your House September. The Kliq was fine with Douglas, until Shane snubbed them. That's when they buried him too.

I think it would have all depended on his sobriety. I know HBK was on drugs and that, but Scott was in a much worse way and would bave been a huge liability.
That having been said, he was a big muscular dude and was over like rover, he could work, had a great mind for the business and was an excellent talker. Why wouldn't he have been WWF champion? Most crucially, he had Vince's ear.
