Please let threads end on their own natural volition.
There is an increase in locks being set and it’s obviously in direct correlation of people’s inability to handle covid-19. I think members are being much more active (a good thing!) and mods are taking to police state tactics to control content narrative.
Several times today I had positive contributions cut short due to a lock.
One mod mentioned self-reflection and I couldn’t agree more.
Resist the urge and lets keep this open for discussion.

i haven't been paying attention to know specifically what you're referring to, but that's the reason i completely stopped posting in the lounge last year and have slowed way down overall. the mod there and one of the admins (guess who) were continually locking every thread people were actually having fun in or any post that might trigger any type of debate, whether anything bad had been said or not. it's almost like they didn't want people to try to liven the place up.

Gotta let the computer monitor cops get their pay in the back locking threads. I agree with the O.P. I wish they would just let threads end in their own. If something being posted is that bad, just delete the posts or ban people if they are consistently the culprit of fights in every thread. |

I've probably locked 2 threads with the last couple of days and I cannot even remember the last time I locked one. Regardless, I go through and clean up threads all of the time. Some I even have to babysit. We also get post reports all the time about people fighting, trolling, etc. This has been on the increase since the self quarantine. Anyway, it's not a lot and with some threads that get to multiple pages and there's fighting throughout it takes time to go through them, look at each one, delete post, warn member and so on. Not to mention some threads also garner fights because of the subject matter. I am not spending a half hour doing this in addition to everything else I have to do here. So yes, some will be locked, not many but it will happen once in a blue moon. It's not a big deal.

Given the apparent agendas by people around here I'm not surprised. Delete threads and posts that don't fit the blatant 1 sided view. Whose friends with who around here? Maybe someone can post a list so new posters know who the crybabies with mod buddies are?
It would save people like me from embarrassing someone for posting lies knowing they'll just have it deleted anyway while their posts remain intact.
