Doubtful, there won’t be any second wave You're funny. Ever since this all started all scientists have said there will be a second wave, and it will hit way harder than the current one. If you think Covid 19 will be gone by the summer you're a lunatic. This sh't is gonna stick around for ATLEAST another year. If we are still living in lockdowns and such by 2022 I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. I don't think it'll be full on lockdown, but I think events of several thousand are out of the question until there's an antidote that's easily available for all. We need to be ok with small/no crowd shows for a long time.

There will be no fans at any WWE show probably for a year. This COVID19 isn't going away. With the USA wanting to re-open everything and some stuff already being opened again, the surge of the 2nd wave of COVID19 will be worse than the first, thus shutting down more stuff than before. Doubtful, there won’t be any second wave Good joke...

No surprise, but SummerSlam will not take place in Boston this August as scheduled. Today the Major said no parades, festivals, concerts, or events that would involve more than 10 people gathering or that could draw a crowd of any size will take place in the City of Boston up to and including Labor Day.

I don't think that they will bother holding shows like that in front of fans. They may start holding tvs in front of small crowds just to keep money coming in. It has been reported that they've been watching what the NFL is doing with ticket sales and are likely to mirror whatever strategy they employ. A show like Summerslam would be far too expensive to hold anywhere other then a small venue, in which case it'll look like a UWF Beach Brawl or a late AWA show, which would both be cost ineffective and put forth an image that I don't see Vince being into.
Wrestlemania was supposed to be in LA next year. As terrible as the show has been lately I'd definitely have gone for the conventions and the show would just be a bonus. I'm not banking on a big live wrestling event or concert least two years. Personally I'd rather take my chances than live like this.

It sucks, but people need to get used to this being the temporary normal for now. It doesn't matter what state you're in. This is the way things will be until every person can get the vaccine.
I wouldn't be shocked if WWE had to run every show like they have been until after next year's WrestleMania.

Man I hope you're wrong! Hate to say it but I wouldn't be surprised. Social distancing is the new normal and I can't see how they could pull it off in a packed arena. They could space out the seating aisles in the arenas, but the big issue is entering and leaving the arena because fans are usually squashed together in queues.

I just don’t understand why they don’t follow what AEW is doing. What’s the harm in having 12-25 superstars and staff spread throughout the Performance Center, or wherever they plan on doing shows? They’d all be way more than 6ft apart, and it would make a whole hell of a lot a difference to the overall feel of what’s going on. The current, dead silent shows they’ve been doing for the past two months, are damn near unwatchable. Not even exaggerating. It’s absolutely terrible.

SummerSlam definitely isn't happening as planned this year. Marty Walsh all but put the kibosh on that last week in a press conference and a series of Tweets:
I've never been so glad to have missed out on tickets to something. Even if it went on as scheduled, I don't know if I could bring myself to drive in, get on public transit, and squeeze into close quarters for 4+ hours with all this sh*t still lingering. There would need to be a really good case worth of evidence that this thing is no longer an issue before I go anywhere near Boston anytime soon.

There could be a really cool solution with a partial crowd in Florida. Do it literally on a beach, where the tickets get sold so everyone can be spaced out and the ticket holders bring Beach chairs etc. Would still have some crowd but would make sense why they'd be spaced out anyways and could create really unique atmosphere

If they're going to do it, do it with some kind of atmosphere. I have no idea why they don't. A big difference that I see between products is AEW spends time on story but they do separate the character from the real-life person more than WWE does. Maybe WWE doesn't want superstars around the ring in a sort of "out of character" scenario. I think there are a ton of people you could use, though! Akira Tozowa, Street Profits, Titus O'Neil, Humberto, Apollo Crews, Liv Morgan, Natalya, Lucha House Party, Dana Brooke, Mickie James, and then whoever else from NXT. Really just baby faces that aren't super character-driven but the fans would know.

The complete silence is SUPER distracting 🤦♂️. Another thing AEW has in their corner is the fact that they’re able to perform in an outdoor-like environment where the ambience (of sounds) of everything, comes out sounding a lot “livelier “. Everything sounds more spaced out, and less “compact” together. When the small amount of AEW staff is around the ring, it actually sounds like there’s a ton of people there. WWE shows being in a super small, closed in warehouse, makes everything sound terrible. Their ring also sounds terrible, and sloppy as well. AEW’s production value just sounds, and feels a whole lot better overall, especially during these closed set shows.
