You know, I really tried to enjoy this game, really did, but the game is not that enjoyable. Even as an arcade type game, the gameplay is not that enjoyable. Movesets are pretty boring. Biggest gripe is unlocking everything is not worth the grind you have to go through. Had the movesets been more exciting, more fun, then yes the grind would have been worth it. The game is more of a cash grab to me. They would have been better of just releasing nothing for WWE, and just focusing more on 2K22.

Move sets should have had some depth to them and it would have helped tremendously IMO. I’m about halfway through the campaign but don’t have much incentive to keep grinding away. I’m curious to see what happens with the next game

I bought it when it was on sale a couple weeks ago. It’s not a deep game with boring movesets. 5-6 styles for all characters. Boo It’s ok for an arcade style game though It feels a bit like a mobile WWE game to me, with a limited selection of moves. I don’t know what the origins of it were, but it doesn’t feel like a fully-fledged game. It’s a shame too, because I really like the graphics and the concept, just the gameplay isn’t great. I think it’s fine for literally a couple of quick rounds on a game night.

The graphics are good I enjoy the art style and the idea is good too. Just really underwhelmed by the move sets

I fired it up for the first time in a while yesterday and the idea of the game is fun, but the grind to unlock characters is ing disgusting! It is a game that is clearly aimed at trying to tempt you into giving them more money. Also the AI as you get towards the end of the campaign is horribly cheap! It is not a horrible game and if you can get it for 20 bucks or less I would say it is well worth it, but the whole thing is like a mobile game that got turned into a console one. I am pretty much over 2K games at this point and would love for someone else to take a crack at the WWE license.

Yeah it’s definitely a game designed to try to get some micro transactions but unfortunately every game seems to be anymore. I haven’t played a match in probably a month now, just no incentive to keep playing unfortunately. I’d like to see someone else take the wwe license and try their hard at the games. Not sure which company could pull it off but anything can be better than visual concept and their horrible mess of 2k20.

I just bought a Switch, and I'm wondering if I should get this, especially since 2k18 on Switch is unplayable based on what I've read. It's around 20 dollars, so I won't be out much money, but I despise the sleazy tactics of game companies and getting you to pay more to get characters. Anyone have it or played it on Nintendo Switch?

Can’t imagine it being much different to the PS4/Xbox one versions. It’s crap. It’s basically a grind fest as you do several hundreds of bland matches using the same boring 3 moves over and over until you can save up enough in-game currency to unlock Kalisto’s slightly different alt costume. Rinse and repeat for every single locked character and alt costume. It could have been All Stars 2. It ended up as Simpsons Wrestling 2.

This doesn't sound like something I'd be interested in going through. A little grinding is one thing, but that sounds nightmarish. haha

Tried this as it was free on ps plus. Do not recommend even trying, the volume of loading screens alone for what appears to be a basic undemanding game is infuriating
