I dig him. No reason a small guy can't compete, Zach Sabre Jr. is every bit as small as Darby. Zach is a technical master, Darby is fast as hell and can take a hell of a beating. If we tried to just always have the bigger guy win Braun Strowman would be champ. Oh.... Kidding aside, there are plenty of unassuming people who can fight like all hell, and plenty of people built like sturdy bowel-elimination chambers who couldn't win a fight to save their lives.
Plus, as a guy who grew up in the 90's on skateboard culture, I'm into it. Skate culture was full of littler guys who could throw 'em. Helps when a punch doesn't hurt half as bad as canning yourself on a rail.

He's good. I'd never heard of him before AEW, and his debut match made him a star overnight. I think he's got an interesting character, an interesting look, and a good theme that fits him. I've honestly never thought too much about his build to be honest, because I've just been invested in him enough to not need to think about that.

English? I don't understand what you mean there. I think he's excellent. He's this generation's Jeff Hardy. Stop. Jeff looked like an adult. Darby is really short, and really thin. Again I like a lot about his character and everything, to me he is just doesn’t have it physically. Maybe if he put a little bulk on it would even it out. I never said he looked like him, or even wrestles like him.

I doubt he weighs 150 pounds and that at a definite disadvantage. He can wrestle, but the coffin drop, as nice as it looks, is not going to to do anything to anyone. All the opponent has to do is take a step to the side and he lands on his back. I'm fine with him and how he's booked. Because of his size, he'll always be an underdog. People said things like that about Rey Mysterio and he proved to be a draw. Not saying Darby is or will be greater than Mysterio, but there's plenty of great stories to tell with someone who is undersized.

He does not need to be a heavyweight to do so.

I'd love to re-visit this once he finally climbs to the top in 3-4 years.

Darby works for me, though I can't stand someone like Marko. His gimmick is that he can absorb a ton of pain, and will take wild risks to win to compensate for his lack of size/strength. He does a good job of building that psychology in his matches.
He also has a natural charisma and look that gets him over. My wife mostly couldn't care about wrestling, but will sit down with me and watch here and there. She instantly latched on to Darby, and will usually stop to watch if he's on screen.
I was pretty cynical about the overall roster size in AEW early on. But while I'd still like to see them add some big hosses, they've done an amazing job of booking and filming the shows in a way that make me completely forget about size. Whether it's Darby, Scorpio Sky, MJF, they've done an excellent job making small wrestlers look like start without undercutting their 6ft+ guys.

His size puts me off him but the character is great I don't see him as World champion but he is someone I enjoy watching

Darby Allin is listed at the same height Eddie Guerrero was.
Just saying.

Any guy who thinks combining GG Allin and Darby Crash's name together to be original bores me.

His podcast on unrestricted was really good. Starts off typical Darby weirdness,(not a bad thing just nothing new) but as soon as they start talking wrestling you see his real vision in the business. Talks a lot about how much he talks to guys like malenko, tazz, etc. I gotta think that inspired the tazz angle where he wants no advice, which is the polar opposite of him behind the scenes.

Legit star. Future main eventer. His in-ring style is unique in a Jeff Hardy / Mick Foley way, which makes him standout in the ring. A little more controlled then Jeff, who sometimes seems sloppy. Darby doesn't, just reckless.
My girlfriend owns 2 AEW shirts.. an AEW shirt & a Darby Allin shirt, if that says anything about his appeal. They are also her only 2 wrestling shirts, ever..

I can't take him seriously when he's wrestling in them shorts, plus he's skinny compared to alot of the roster, i've got nothing against the guy i just have no interest in watching him.. but hey, if it means Priscilla Kelly might show up more often in AEW with him in the company then that's a plus in my book. I gave this post a like for the Priscilla Kelly comment... but I really couldn't care less about Darby Allin. That being said, I'd probably buy his figure, because he at least has an interesting look. Also, regarding the comparison someone made to ZSJ... I think he's at least 6' - not a short-arse like Allin.

Doesn't matter to me if he wins the AEW title - in fact, I couldn't give two sh*ts about who holds the AEW title, tbh. I watch most of Dynamite - but I'm not invested in AEW as a product.
