Hello Wfigs, in reminiscing about the jobbers/midcarders that I loved in my youth, I got to thinking about specific storylines that drew me in, and that I was more invested in than some of the main event stuff. I am thinking about Thrasher returning to stop Chaz on Heat, J.O.B Squad, Al Snow with head and Pepper, Saturn and Moppy, and Hurricane and Rosey. I would say none had more impact on me as a storyline than Pillman taking Goldust wife. As a kid, that was terrifying and infuriating.
As a side note, The Headbangers were one of my favorite tag teams back then, and real men wear skirts!
Was there stuff like this that kept your interest even more so than some of the main storylines?
I look forward to your answers...

I used to love the DX vs NOD stuff. Gillberg was always a hit for me too.

Otis and Mandy lately has been my #1 storyline in the WWE. I'm not watching weekly much anymore but the Otis/Ziggler mania match was legit top three matches I was excited to see. I can only imagine how big that pop would've been for moments in that match if it was in Tampa.
Anything that had to do with Jeff Hardy in 2006-2008. Whenever he was feuding with Nitro, Umaga, Carlito, Kennedy, MVP or the IC title, I was so invested.
Like tylerbreezee said, so so so many things from SD 2016-2017 was more interesting than the title scene. That era of Smackdown was so big.
I thought when Goldust became Dustin Rhodes and was put into that Bray/Finn feud back in 2017, it was so out of no where and so interesting. Especially at such a boring time for RAW, that random storyline had me so interested.
Owens/Zayn feud and Cesaro/Sheamus series a few years back was often the best thing on any card during that time.

Yes of course. I was into the many storylines happening all at once (β85-00)

Gable & Roode vs. The Revival two years ago was an amazing feud for the Tag Titles.
I remember reading they were having 45 minute matches at live events, and then on Raw they had that 20 minute or so match where the belts changed hand and every fan was going nuts for that match. That's how you do great tag team wrestling!
