Saturday NIght Main Event
2 of 3 falls Heart Foundation vs British bulldogs
The bulldogs win with 2 straight wins BUT the titles didnt change because the first fall was a DQ.
Titles dont change hands on DQ.
My thought is the second fall" should have been the DQ with Bulldogs thinking they win but it gets announced since it was a DQ they DONT get the titles
Because after the Bulldogs win the first fall with a DQ they cant win the title! So why bother continuing?
Bad booking in my opinion

Ideally you'd be correct but doing it the way they did makes you think they wont the title when in reality they didnt (at the poster above said, a "dusty finish") by doing it with the DQ in the 3rd fall, you'd know right away that the titles dont change hands

Funny how WWF didn't keep the same rules for the match, in 1990, the Hart Foundation beat Demolition at Summer Slam 1990 and won the titles even though Crush was DQ'd for Demolition's first fall. Makes you think that rules are not actually written down and they come up with stuff that sounds good at the time.

Also in the Demo/Busters title match on SNME in July 89, the Busters won fall 2 by DQ.
This is the one match they should've explained that DQ/countouts can make titles switch hands.

I wonder if they made a mistake with the Harts/Bulldogs match with the finish being switched. Maybe the pin fall should have happened first, then the DQ finish for the second fall. It would be a great way for the heels to keep the belts and lose the match.
If the DQ finish happened first and the pin fall happens second, then the belts should change hands.
The British Bulldogs were so over too during that time fame. The fans legit wanted them to have a second reign as champions. The fact that Martel and Santana got that belts a few months later just stunk. Especially when that wasn't even the real team, it was supposed to be Zenk and Martel.
