WCW Thunder was a good show. They were starting to push the younger talent while still using the top guys the right way. I like Ric Flair's group Magnificent Seven and Scott Steiner was a great athlete and world champion. I think that I would have just changed the Thunder name to something else. I don't like the PPV names either. Greed just doesn't sound like a wrestling show to me. Mike Awesome was better on his own and didn't fit in with Team Canada. It's a shame WCW closed down that year because the shows were entertaining.

I liked Thunder in 98 but man from 99 onward it fell off the rails IMO.
But on topic with 2001,I remember enjoying the mysterious attacker on the Magnificent 7 angle they had there in the end.It was obviously gonna be Sting since he was taken out in late 2000 by Steiner/Jarrett but in the end the company folded and we never found out.
And yeah I wish Mike Awesome was used better on his own.Dude was incredible for his size.

Its a pity about Mike Awesome from start to finish really....yeah the Magnificent 7 & stuff was making WCW watchable again. It was easily better than anything they had going on in 2000

WCW from January-March 2001 was actually not that bad. They were trying to recover from the stench that was 2000.

I find it interesting that alot of the younger guys back then are now around fifty years old. It has really been a long time.

I watched only until 99-00.
I was happy when thunder first came out. I got to see a lot of Alex wright and disco inferno
