He would have been great if he had Road Dogg's promo skills. It was funny when he mocked his brother and called himself Buzzkill. That had to be a Vince Russo thing.

Brad had the technical part down pat. He just needed more personality. I really think they should have had him join the Freebirds without the mask. Could have been the role he needed to breakout.

When I was a kid me and my friends used to call him a Road Dogg rip off.
Never knew he was his brother until years later lol.

Best worker in his family. His Arachnaman gimmick wouldve been better if the costume wasnt purple/yellow. It was also funny when they had him do a Stone Cold ripoff gimmick as BA Brad Armstrong.

A revelation just happened for me because of this thread...... Scotty Flamingo is Raven!!...!! 😱
I’ve been watching wcw 92 and I just saw when Flamingo beat Pillman for the LH title. I was surprised when on a Saturday night episode they said Armstrong beat Flamingo at the weekly show at the Omni which isn’t on the wwe network

Brad Armstrong should have been part of the WCW invasion storyline.

Road Dogg could work the crowd. Brad Armstrong was one of the best wrestlers in the world. I still like the Buzzkill name. I just don't think he needed the hippie gimmick.

Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner were an amazing tag team in Mid South/UWF. They had great matches again Lane and Eaton of the Midnight Express.
I always heard Brad had a helluva personality in the back for the boys, but never on camera for the fans. It's a shame too. He may have been a bigger star.

You could see some of it when he was using the Buzzkill name.

Brad Armstrong had some great matches with Bobby Eaton. They are two guys that should have been a part of a real WCW invasion.

It's funny cos I used to watch WCW on British television, the weekly hour recap show from August 1999 onwards, and I can not for the life of me remember him as Buzzkill. Had no idea that he wrestled as him, never saw him at the time. Yet it was literally around the time I started watching.
I can remember him however as himself, and just can't remember the timeline for when he was himself/Buzzkill but must have been like October 1999 he became Buzzkill? Did he go back as himself with the blue trunks? Cos that's what I remember him for.

WCW was always weird how they used a guy like Brad Armstrong. It seems like he wouldn't be on TV for the longest time, then all of a sudden is used relatively frequently even though for lower tier matches. I remember him all of a sudden being back on TV in April or May 1996 and getting the cruiserweight belt match at Slamboree. I don't remember him being on TV for a long time before that. Brad was definitely a good hand and could be used however but I always found it strange how WCW used a guy like him. Tom Zenk was another one where he disappeared for like a year or longer and randomly came back in early 1994, in a match with DDP who had also disappeared for like a year, and I'm sure they were always under contract.

This came up on one of JR's podcasts not too long ago. Brad was always considered a good hand, but when the red light came on his personality vanished.
