Was listening to Hogan’s interview on the Stone Cold podcast and Hulk gets into how he wanted to turn heel on Warrior after their match at WM6. Vince shot it down, but it’s an interesting concept.
Had Hogan attacked Warrior after the epic clash is it successful? Does he continue his feud with Warrior or go after someone else? Who’s booking is affected the most by a Hogan heel turn in 1990 (positive or negative)? Do we get Hogan/Warrior 2 at SummerSlam, or does Vince hold off until WM7?
Obviously Slaughter likely doesn’t win the WWF Title, and Savage and Flair may not have had their epic feud a few years later over the title had Hogan been heeling it up.

I'm just curious, did Hogan ever bring up his alleged plan to turn heel at WM6 prior to appearing on Stone Cold's podcast or is this more revisionist history running wild, brother?

I can’t remember ever hearing it. This would have been massive if it had happened, so I suspect that it would have been a hot talking point long before the podcast. I may be wrong but I’m calling it nonsense.

It was mentioned before on here a year or two ago. When was the podcast made?

If Hogan turned, We would've never got Quake squashing him like a grape on the Brother Love show

I'm sure he was joking, but Hogan at one point said in an interview a few years ago that he was going to turn heel at Mania 6 and be called Triple H - Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Based on how reluctant he was to turn heel in 96 I find it hard to believe he was ever going to turn after Mania 6, no matter which version he spins.

It's weird since the whole reason to put the belt on Warrior is that Hogan wanted to take a long break from wrestling and also do some acting stuff. I say just Hogan being Hogan.

Hulk Hogan can't really be a true heel after Hulkamania. The fans were cheering for him in NWO.

There is no way that would have happened then. Hulk has to be making that stuff up.
I remember Kevin Sullivan saying in a shoot that he and others had to talk Hogan into going heel in WCW. Hogan was against it up until the last second when he came out to side with Nash and Hall. So I don't believe that in 1990 we would see a Hogan heel turn.
Even in 1991 Hulkamania was still running somewhat strong. Not like it was in the 80s, but strong enough where he wasn't getting any boos yet. That didn't happen until 1993. That's when he should have went heel in the WWE.

I also couldn't see Mania ending on a negative note like that especially during those days.Vince always had the babyfaces go over at PPVS so Hogan turning heel while definitely a surprising/interesting turn of events, it still would've looked outta place and I just couldn't see Vince going with it. Like hbkbigdaddycool said, The boos for Hogan didn't start until 93 with them becoming increased more and more by the time he got to WCW.In 1990 he was still over like rover so a heel turn made no sense.

Hulk Hogan turned the NWO into The Beatles. This is coming from a guy that prefers the Four Horsemen.

The toys, shirts, stickers, hats, books and on and on would have been off the table. Hogan still main evented the next 3 Mania's after he lost to Warrior. I think him and Vince were both happy to ride that gravy train until it went off the rails.

I agree with you, I think Hogan is making stuff up for the internets sake, sometimes I think wrestlers do this just to keep kayfabe going a bit and rib the viewers. I just can't see him giving up that top spot as the babyface in the company, I have to imagine he was making a killing on merchandise back then, he probably would have lost a good chunk of that had he turned heel. As for your last point, you are right that Hogan was still going strong for the majority of 1991, however, at the end of 1991 you could start hearing some of the boos. You can hear it in his match with Undertaker at Survivor Series 1991 and again at the Royal Rumble in 1992 (though this may have been more about how he cheated Sid out of the win). I also remember watching a house show match, I believe at MSG, of Hogan vs Flair, and if I remember correctly you could also hear some boos there as well.

Yeah, Vince always liked the fans to go home happy, I can't see them doing that turn at the end of WrestleMania, that seems more like something they would do at a SNME - you still get a large audience but you don't have to ruin the ending of the PPV. There is no way that would have happened then. Hulk has to be making that stuff up. I remember Kevin Sullivan saying in a shoot that he and others had to talk Hogan into going heel in WCW. If he made that suggestion, to me it sounds like a passive aggressive idea to try and go over Warrior. Just my opinion though.
I think a heel turn after the match dramatically impacts the significance of Warriors clean victory and Vince was absolutely correct shooting that idea down. Maybe a heel turn after the Quake thing ran its course for s rematch but definitely not after the match.

Ya that's bullcrapof the highest order outta Terry. But since Hogan & Nash are tied for the greatest liars/ revisionists in wrasslin history its to be expected.
WM would NEVER had ended on a note like that in 1990...absolutely outta the question for Vince. His mentality was nowhere NEAR ready for that.
Hogan very nearly didn't turn in 96 when folks were booing him outta the building & he was gonna do it in 1990 when he was the most popular wrestler on the planet bar none? nahhhhh.

Even if this idea was floated in 1990, I have a difficult time envisioning Vince wanting the centerpiece of his company as a heel at that point. And did Hulk want to promote Suburban Commando with a heel persona? Most certainly not. Hogan wasn't significantly booed until late 1991, so perhaps a heel turn in 1992 might have happened had there been no steroid scandal, but it wouldn't have made sense in 1990.
