As I stated before on here, I have been watching plenty of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling lately. I noticed though that the NWA World Tag Titles were mainly in the Crockett area. They left there in 1982 for a few months when Ole Anderson took them to Georgia Championship Wrestling over a dispute he had with Crockett. But by the end of 1982, Crockett had them again with Slaughter and Kernodle as the champions.
So while this is all going on, they have the Mid Atlantic Tag Titles too. And it just seemed pointless to me to have those title belts when the NWA Tag Titles seemed to always be the main tag title in the Mid Atlantic area.
I guess you could look at them as what the US Tag Titles were for the NWA, but somehow the US Tag Titles seemed more important than the Mid Atlantic Tag Titles. There were times while watching that I wouldn't even know who the champions were. They would change hands so many times without Bob Caudle even telling us.
This really isn't a question for anyone, just kind of something I realized when watching these old episodes that I never seen before.

And they were the ugliest tag titles. They looked like big belt buckles.
