This is amazing, 19 pages! AEW is building momentum. I usually PVR the show and watch it later after the kids are in bed so I don't get a chance to go through all your live reactions until the next morning. I haven't done that yet, so just sharing some random thoughts on this week's episode.

THIS Matt Hardy I can take. If they do go down the route of him mentoring Private Party it is very serendipitous of when Michael PS Hayes had the Hardys under his wing - kayfabe or not, you had a Freebird legend teaching some young whipper-snappers then, and life comes full circle now.

I get that Page/Omega vs Havoc/Sabian needed to happen on national TV to get people re-acquainted with the champs, but it was a little too long and the outcome was inevitable which took the joy out of it a bit.

Cage/Taz doing exactly what they need to do, and I never liked Ambrose in WWE, but Mox in AEW is fire.

it's a pity that it looks like Jericho is slipping into that veteran-putting-over-younger-guys role now because I would have liked to see his serious heel gimmick dominate the world title picture a bit more. However, he's the right guy to do great things for younger blood like OC, Darby, Sammy and Jungle Boy. As hilarious as the Inner Circle has become I think this faction has run its course and PnP need to become LAX again.

FTR interview, not as polished as I would have liked it to come off, especially for a tapped segment. I love Schiavone's last line referencing what he thought FTR meant - nice IWC joke. Y'know Schiavone flies under the radar but I think we sometimes forget what a veteran commentator he is. I was randomly looking for some Rick Rude matches in 1988 to find the match where he wears his E77 chase outfit (anyone know?) and I was pleasantly surprised to hear Schiavone and Ventura commentating.

I don't think even a black glove can save Shawn Spears. Tully needs a faction to run.

Whoever is taking control of Britt's creative is brilliant, what a funny vignette and I love the Schiavone cameo at the end.

Nyla/Swole was alright. I could have done without Swole's spit/drool down her chin and her attempt to wipe it off leaving a trail on her hand. Between that and Nyla's taunt of licking her hand leaves me a bit queezy.

Cody/Jungle Boy delivered as expected. Not sure why Cody feels the need to color so often, but the match would have been equally competitive without it (or the table spot to be honest). It lived up to the hype of a main event and isn't it refreshing to see a show end without a gang beating? Arn's Denny's menu with "Jungle Boy" written on it was a nice touch


P.S. I've been a wrestling fan for almost 40 years now and I have to say that Anna Jayy is by far the most drop dead gorgeous woman I've ever seen in the wrestling business. Why is this girl in the audience and not featured in matches???

I'm assuming you mean become lax in spirit again, since impact owns the name, but yeah. Their match on dark this week felt really heelish and dominant. I don't think we're far off from them being serious players in the division again.

I didn't get the glove, but a lot of the speculation was a Barry Windham reference. Which, may mean my dream is actually premonition and Tully was suggesting to Shawn that he is going to manage him as part of a modern day 4 horsemen. He'd never go along with it, but if Wardlow turned on mjf, then mjf Shawn and FTR with Tully backing would be unreal dominant.

Anna. I mean the serious answer is she's so green and they know how popular she was in her initial match that they want to work with her off screen a ton so she continues to impress rather than having stinker matches. The less serious answer is we all clearly not only notice her, but go out of our way to find her in the crowd every week. In her own way, she's very much living up to her moniker of the star of the show, without even having to set foot in the ring.

Jimmy Havoc has really grown on me in the last couple of months. Several months ago someone made a thread asking who their favourite and least favorites were and I think I had Havoc as one on my least favorites. He'd be off that list entirely now.

Kip Sabian is still just whatever though.
