He looked better in black and white instead of orange and purple. I liked his gorilla press into gutbuster move. I think he should have atleast won the US title once in his career. I didn't care too much for the name Kronik even though him and Bryan Clark were a good tag team.

I remember in 1993 that I thought (and I bet many others did) that Crush was gonna be the IC Champion that year. He seemed to be on the path to being a mega superstar before Vince turned him heel and then he didn't do anything.
His WCW run was okay. His NWO era is something I don't really remember. I know he, Vincent, Stevie Ray and Horace Hogan were like the NWO B Team and were mainly on Thunder, or Saturday Night, but his career seemed better when he and Adams did the Kronik thing.

Adams & Clark were great together as Kronik. I really enjoyed them....I remember thinking Crush was on the way to the top in WWF too...he had IC title written all over him. But then nothing....heel turn into Evil Crush....Biker Crush...NOD....DOA.....WCW....nWo….nothing.

In Demolition, he didn't interest me.
As babyface Kona Crush I was ALL-IN as a kid. I thought for sure he was destined for the main event.
I didn't like him as a heel, but as an adult now, his look was awesome. The gear change was sick, the face paint! My most wanted Hasbro is series 11 Crush, actually.
In WCW, it was very disappointing how he was used. Essentially a jobber.
Kronik was cool af. I was 14/15 and the name definitely made me fan. I was excited to see what they were doing, and I intrigued by two similar type guys teaming up. To me it was Crush & Adam Bomb still..

Hated him in Demolition even as a kid. He ruined my favorites 🤣🤣. He was green as the grass in Demolition & they blew as Smash & Crush. Enjoyed Kona Crush but I thought his potential as Evil Crush was wasted.

I was never a big fan of Demolition, but I liked him better than Smash. Of the three Ax was my favorite. But even him I liked as the Masked Superstar more. With Darsow I really only ever cared for him as Krusher Kruschev in WCW.

WCW used to air really late on one channel but you could never follow it because they often showed the same episodes. I knew of The Road warriors because as a 9/10 year old I effin loved PWI. But to all us kids here Ax & Smash were brilliant...the theme music etc..just excellent. Then the heel turn for no reason & Crush. He didn't fit at all....his inexperience really showed at SSeries 90. Good lord...LOL. Vince actually really mishandled LODs intro POPs disbanding Demos turn Demos breaking up. flushed tons of money and not for the last time.

I liked Crush, didn't really care for the NOD or DOA version, but I liked Demolition, Kona Crush, Evil Crush, and Kronik. I liked Evil Crush, wonder what was in store for him going forward. I remember them setting up the feud with Lex Luger around the KOTR94 but nothing came of it. It also would have been interesting seeing the team of him and Yokozuna going forward. On a side note, I know a lot of people prefer the purple look of Evil Crush, but I always liked the red look.

He had some talent for a big guy. I would put him slightly below Undertaker and Vader.

He really didn't belong in the wrestling business. If wrestling were totally size and looks based, sure but you need a certain amount of talent that he just didn't have. The best time period for him was Kona Crush but unfortunately better or cooler stars like Doink and Shawn Michaels would get in the way so of course the booking would have Crush lose. I think if Demolition had remained Ax and Smash with Crush more as an outside guy or a guy coming in at the last minute in a six man tag for the team to win it would have been better. I know booking and timing really hurt Demolition but it didn't help that Crush wasn't in the same league as Smash and Ax.
I'm sure he was a guy who would do what WWF asked for for a long time he always kept being brought back and had a job, much like an Albert or Mabel who also were very talent-less. Post Wrestlemania X was a really bad time for him because it seemed like "creative has nothing" for him to do. Yokozuna was still a big name but couldn't carry Crush to a higher level of popularity. Also the Lex feud (which did have a blow off at the Summerslam Spectacular) was done only because Mr. Perfect had left and the post WM house show tour was supposed to be Mr. Perfect against Lex. Putting Crush in his place makes sense given the theme of Lex's character but once WWF came up with the Tatanka/Lex angle, the Crush feud took a backseat.
Mr. Fuji didn't even appear with Crush at the Summerslam show and I don't think Crush worked any TV, maybe even house shows, before he randomly appeared at the Rumble. I think even Vince McMahon was shocked when he saw Crush come out (think his 2000s comments about Raven) and if Pat Patterson was the one booking Rumbles it very well may be that he was in charge of putting lower card guys in without Vince really knowing who was in it outside of the bigger names.
He found a cool gimmick with Kronik and I'm glad that worked out for him and Bryan Clark but IIRC most of their team matches were APA style rather than anything competitive. And it really shows just how poor of workers they were to only have one match in 2001 WWF before being asked to go back to developmental. Both guys had about 10+ years experience at the time.

Honestly surprised they didn't do more with Evil Crush considering they were really lacking good heels in 94-95. Would have been a good guy to put in the Mabel KOTR/Summerslam match with Diesel spot had he not been arrested.
But I'm a big time fan. Love him in Demo, Kona, Evil and Kronik

Crush is one of those wrestlers who was extremely green when he started, but somehow never got much better IMO. Most of his matches even into the late 90s were just cringeworthy and boring.

Only time I was ever invested in Brian Adams was his feud with Mach in 93/4

Was he/they really that bad? Sure they may have had a certain style, but Vince was happy to push certain guys who only had one style and like you said - these guys were in the business for a long time and had already been in the WWF. It sounds ridiculous but true?

It sounds ridiculous but true? Crush was really that bad IMO during most of his runs but I don't remember seeing the match with Undertaker and Kane but I have to imagine if it they only lasted one match before being fired than it was really bad. Undertaker and Kane are true talents that have stood the test of time. It's easy to blame them as I've read but both guys are used to working with anyone and having quality matches while Bryan and Brian were used to working with smaller, squash opponents. Neither were particularly great during their times in WWF either. Bryan never made too many PPVs and his TV matches were usually against jobbers. Crush made more PPVs because he was around longer but he was usually in tags were his limitations could be masked.

I always had a soft spot for Adams, as I do for all Portland guys.
Anyway, my favorite version was Orange/Grape Crush. I liked Evil Crush all right. The rest of his versions (Demolition, jailbird, NOD, DOA, NWO & Kronik) were meh.

I loved Crush in pretty much all his incarnations, is he in the hall of fame? the guy surely is deserving of a spot.
Anyway, his run in 1992 I was all in and had high hopes for him and for a while he was one of my favorites. Two things for me killed his momentum. First of all, his failure to win the Intercontinental title from Shawn Michaels. Looking back now, there is no way in hell ol HBK would ever drop the title to Crush lol. However, I think had this happened it could have made him a major player.
Also, the thing with Doink was kind of cool, but did Crush ever actually get his revenge on Doink? I have wracked my brain a million times, but I do not ever remember him "ending" the feud in any meaningful way. I am sure they did the rounds on the house shows, but for the TV audience it just fizzled out which when you think about it kind of makes Crush seem like a chump. I know he was not booked at SummerSlam 1993 so was he injured? if so perhaps the plans were for him to get his revenge on Doink there?

No way he was gonna recover from that and playing second fiddle to Yokuzuna
