Dang. I hope everyone remains healthy and this is the last person in WWE to get it.

Not surprising, especially with the way things are reopening so fast. But hopefully it was caught before it spread.

I'm assuming they test everyone before and every time they enter the PC?
Otherwise ... uh oh ...

I'm assuming they test everyone before and every time they enter the PC? Otherwise ... uh oh ... "Testing" is WWE just taking everyone's temperature. This isn't an actual "test", as not everyone who has COVID-19 gets a temperature and it doesn't account for those who are asymptomatic. Actually getting a COVID-19 test can take 24 hours to several days to get results. So taking somebody's temperature the day they show up to perform doesn't really accomplish much except to say they did the very least they can do as far as taking precaution. The only way to actually guarantee somebody is virus free is to put them into a 2 week quarantine before they perform where during that time they don't interact with another human being. But you've got people like Charlotte and Andrade showing off on Instagram going out to restaurants with no masks, and she's working EVERY show. WWE should not be operating at this time for health and safety reasons, and also because the product they have put out since March has been absolutely abysmal and sad. But Vince McMahon wants that TV ad revenue, so it is what it is.

But like you said, Vince, and let's add Tony Khan as well, want the TV ad revenue.

I didn't mention AEW not out of any bias or favoritism, just because this is a thread on the WWE board about a WWE employee testing positive. But I agree, AEW shouldn't be running either.

Was always going to happen eventually. Protocols are designed to prevent outbreaks when someone tests positive, so we'll see if WWE's work or not. (Just like sooner or later we'll learn the same about AEW, new Japan, etc)
If you are currently watching the covid era product, you are voting for it to be running. Not necessarily directed at the two who said it shouldn't be running, I have no idea if they're watching, just pointing it out in general. I know when I watch I'm voting for it to still be running, and I'm obviously in favor of it or I wouldn't be.

I'm really confused by this, so I hope someone can explain.
How are they not testing people but finding out people are testing positive? So, they are testing? Or people are testing themselves? If they're getting tests done themselves out of pocket, shouldn't that person who went and got tested told the people taking his/her temperature that he/she was concerned?

Wasn't and still not in favor of any sport coming back, but I did watch most of the NASCAR race Sunday, the first time I did since they came back. Took a few weeks off from WWE when they received clearance to resume shows but never once stopped watching Dynamite, and came back to WWE after AEW's DoN May 23. And that's not even mentioning the nonessentials I've purchased and the delivery services I've used during this...

Anyone can get tested if you contact a doctor. My parents got tested. The person in question likely felt sick and thus got themselves tested. They told WWE about it, and because everything leaks, here we are...

The talent tested outside of WWE, since they don’t perform the actual covid test.

The vast majority that test positive make a speedy full recovery and most dont even display symptoms. This big "Breaking news" title makes it look more significant than it is.

It's news worthy because WWE doesn't (they might start now) test for Covid and one of the people they brought in tested positive. Depending on the timeframe when they were last there, they could have been a carrier and spread it to other people.

I had a literal nightmare about this very topic.
It basically went that, like now, the WWE refused to shut down or take any precautions. As such, COVID occurred in the company and people died.
There was public outcry and Vince proceeded to shift the blame to everyone but himself.
The entire wrestling community ripped itself apart over Woulda coulda shoulda and who was truly responsible for the poor decisions that lead to the deaths.
In the end? Things got extremely ugly and the WWE was shut TF DOWN.
I may have weird dreams, (and this one was no different) but I'd really love it my dreams (nightmares) never came true. Especially not this one.
