I am gonna use this to vent because it's just ridiculous now at what I see on the WWE Network compared to what's not on there.
You go on there and they have now, "Best of Daniel Bryan" or "Best of Roman Reigns" things to watch, and we all know those Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns matches are on the WWE Network as a part of the PPV selection or Raw or Smackdown, depending where the match is from. We don't need to see a 4 hour best of their matches in one package deal.
Yet, we can't get any new WCW Saturday Night, or any WCW World Wide at all! I see they just put 10 new Prime Time Wrestling episodes up last week, and as I read online on Facebook, someone commented saying, "at this rate I will be dead before the entire show is uploaded on the WWE Network."
I get that a lot of the new fans who are age 6 - 18 are only familiar with guys like Roman, Bryan, Seth and guys like that, but us old fans want that old classic content to binge watch every day or night, or whenever we get the chance to do so.
It's like the WWE Network cares way too much about doing these stupid shows like Ride Along, or Table For 3 (which yes, are entertaining at times) but I want to see the old wrestling TV shows from WWE, WCW, or other territories!!
Okay, my rant is over with now.

When WWE 24/7 ended over 6 years ago the last PTW episode they uploaded was the 1-1-90 episode. The Network still hasn't reached this point yet!
Plus still no Worldwide and Mania both which 24/7 showed. Also how long has it been since they updated the old school house show section?

I fully agree with you, I have been waiting for what feels like forever for more content from 90-93. I am talking about SuperStars, Challenge and All American Wrestling and Prime Time Wrestling as well. I know they added a bunch of SuperStars episodes from 92-93, but I have gone through all them already.
If they can take the time to edit these "best of" things why can they not throw up these old shows too?

Yeah it frustrates me as well. So many missed opportunities. The network is such a brilliant idea, new fans can keep up to date with the latest releases and lapsed fans (such as myself) can have instant access to classic events and programming from previous era’s. But with the lack of attention to classic uploads, it’s the lapsed fans that suffer. And we are probably the demographic that are mostly the bread winners and have the disposable income to subscribe to the network.
Between classic figures, halls of fame etc., the WWF put a lot of emphasis on their history (if you believe the hype, nearly 80 years of history at that!!) so seeing classic superstars in action on shows should be vital. For example Terra Rising didn’t feature on many PPV’s, so with limited access to shows, there’s not much opportunity to see the future Triple H in action.
If I were a new fan just discovering wrestling, I’d rather invest 4 hours of my time watching a PPV or a couple of shows to get a feel for the overall, rather than just focussed on one wrestler. When I first discovered wrestling, two of the people that stood out for me were Haku and Akeem. Not everyone’s favourite, but an informed choice on watching a few events. It feels that when WWF put focus on a certain wrestler they are pushing their own agenda and dictate to the fans who is popular. Just highlights how regimented the product has become. I doubt there will ever be an organically grown wrestler like Stone Cold again.
Anyway that’s my rant over!

I wish they could get more stuff from the territories too. I also want Heat and Velocity

While their Library is extensive it is not unlimited and if they release it all, there's really nowhere to go in adding new material. The classic shows is what draws in their target audience imo.
As long as their providing the PPVs they probably figure they can release the older stuff at a snails pace and not lose subscribers.

I would love some of them old compliations they did of superstars in the Attitude Era covering all their storylines in a 1 year period. Example: Steve Austin's 1998/99. The Rock in 99/2000 etc. I remember buying them on VHS in 2003 for 5 bucks.

The most disappointing thing to me has been the size of drops. Prime Time this month was only 10 episodes. I miss the days of close to full year uploads.

Where is WWF All American Wrestling (1983-1994)?
Where is WCW Main Event (1988-1998)?
Where is ECW Hardcore TV (1993-2000)?
Why buy all video libraries when they are not going to put them on the Network?

Why buy all video libraries when they are not going to put them on the Network? The music is dubbed to hell but they have all the episodes up of this. All American and Main Event go....Yes please!

Here's the thing, I know the WWE believes the slower they put stuff on it will make people want to sign up..... but I would think if all the classic content is on there to watch, it would make people definitely sign up to watch!
It's not like once I am done all the classic content I am gonna stop the WWE Network. I will still keep subscribed because... I know this may be shocking to the WWE, but I do enjoy watching things over and over again at times.

Yea I’ve been waiting for WCW Saturday Night for the longest. They have a year or two on there but no mid 90s stuff. And on a side note I’m sick of the over dubbed music. I’ve been watching a lot of 98 WCW and they dubbed Jerichos theme with his wwe break the walls down theme. It just sounds out of place and takes me out of the moment.

I could be wrong, but for me it feels like the focus on the Network is anything passed 2004.

It's baffling how much content they own and haven't even started uploading. But it's pretty clear that WWE's focus and branding has moved away from classic content. We get small Network here and there, they had cut back with a lot of the legends appearances, classic Raw's, etc. And even in their other media, it seems like there is less emphasis on classic content in their video games and figures. It just doesn't seem like they're making an investment in classic content the way they were 3-5 years ago.

They probably fired all the people they use to edit the shows with the music, etc. to save money during this PANDEMIC!!!

I wish they would add Superstars of Wrestling to the service. This was the Monday Night Raw of the Golden Age and it’s a huge hole in the content from that era.
