Did the ECW line even sell that well? I'm sure it sold decently, but enough for the company's numbers?

But I only remember seeing them in stores once. I had discovered ECW right around the time the figures first came out, and living outside of Pittsburgh was in major ECW territory where they ran major shows regularly. I can't imagine that the line was doing any kind of major sales, at least compared for that era.

The first waves that were in Walmart and Kmart didn't do well enough for the later ones to get picked up, but they did well enough at TRU around here. It probably helps that they were $4 as opposed to $7 for the WWF toys or $8 for the WCW toys.

Never saw them at TRU, and there wasn't a Kmart or Walmart near us in those days, so that probably explains it.

I saw the first wave at Walmart and Kmart, but only saw the later ones at TRU and Hills/Ames and found Thrill Zone RVD at Meijer of all places. I miss Hills. Great store.
