Bill Goldberg defeated Hulk Hogan to win the WCW title
I wasnt allowed to watch wrestling ,Thanks Attitude era",but I would often watch when I could and would read magazines and such
My dad who hated what wrestling had become was watching this and I could just barley hear it
When I heard Goldberg won I was super pumped
Never saw the full match for the longest time
Damnit I still get goosebumps
I dont care what people say, the match sucked but son of a gun, the atmosphere, the excitement. that made it something special!

WCW dropped the ball by not doing this on PPV but still a special moment nonetheless.Gotta love Heenan being Heenan as always with Hogan with him rooting on Goldberg to ''Finish him off!''

To say that Eric showed such restraint with the Sting angle? He sure shot his load with Bill.
Its a perfect illustration of what every wrestler says about him...he was only interested in the weekly ratings...his vision beyond that was limited. Goldbergs triumph should have been at a PPV ideally @ Starrcade 98 since Sting was ruined & Bret in limbo.
But as bad as Sting had it when he was on top? Bill had it worse....he was competeing directly with Nash for top face spot and we all seen what happened there.
