. @figcollections & @wrestlingtrader will now be taking the helm for @chellatoys . 1st release will be the Wrestling Megastars 1 of 1000 @dylanpostl vinyl figure. From that tweet I'm unsure if they mean all shipping or if they have taken over the company? I could be incorrect, but they do say taking the helm "for" them, as opposed to taking the helm "of" them, which could mean they're simply taking care of future orders/deliveries, which would make a lot of sense for Chella going forward. But who knows? 🤷

My reading of the situation was that fig collections & wrestling trader would be taking over distribution, with the implication being that Chella would just focus on design & manufacture of figures. Which to be honest I wouldn’t blame Chella for that at all, if it means they no longer have to deal with incessant questions and moaning from collectors. But that’s just my reading between the lines; so may not be accurate. Didn't see this, but yeah, I agree. Would be a good move on Chella's part. Though I would say that owning and operating a business means that you kind of have to listen to incessant moaning and questions from customers, especially if you go missing in action.

Chella not being tagged in any of the recent announcements by Wrestling Trader makes me think the Chella "brand" might be done with. The people behind Chella might still help Wrestling Trader out with factories etc, or just be there to transition them over before WT takes over fully. The part that I'm curious about is the bit about their "first release" being Swoggle. Haven't Wrestling Trader sent out other figures on behalf of Chella, or am I mistaken?

Yep and they've had a couple of exclusives too.

Has anybody had any correspondence from Chella or Trader.. I've got Dynamite Kid in hand.. No Haystacks, No Big Daddy. No Adam Bomb.. Also pre ordered Greg, Haku, Al Snow, Gangrel..I think!! I'm almost lost on what the hell is ordered or not!

The fact there’s a handful of different interpretations of the sentence shows how poor it is.
Maybe majors need someone on their socials who can articulate things other than a singular review destroying figures (yet not mentioning other more expensive figures with the same issues)
How hard is it to say “wrestling trader who have taken over distribution for chella” or “wrestling trader who have taken over from chella in design, production and distribution of the wrestling megastars line”. I think it’s fair to say my very simple quick suggested sentences are clear

So are Chella finished now? It kinda sounds that way from the Major Podcast announcement. A shame if they are, and it'd make the past several months of radio silence a tad more understandable. The biggest gripe was the idea that they were still operating but avoiding direct communication with the customers. Yeah totally agree, so much promise too.

right, as far as I understand the situation (and I believe only that Jack from FC are on here, but I will try to confirm directly with WT as FC is going through stuff right now)
as far as I understand the situation - "Chella" are still manufacturing the figures via their factory arrangement, and FC/WT are going to be responsible for helping deliver those ordered figures to customers who have pre-ordered
so... if you're in the UK and ordered Big Daddy via either Chella's website or WT website, WT will fulfil the order. if you're in the US, FC will still fulfil the order (even if you ordered from Chella directly)
Chella's "shop" has been disabled, to prevent more orders, and all existing order details are with FC/WT to ship once they receive the stock
the arrangement FC/WT have over each other's "exclusives" will still remain - you can still order one from the other

NOW..........
in addition to the above, I've actually got my Chella collection out and noticed a few things - the first figures (Aldis/Meanie etc) are FAR less detailed compared to the recent releases, and recently FC responded to someone on an IG post/update about how the newer figures are from a different factory
which makes me now wonder.... did they change factories in the background, as Adam Bomb/Dynamite look much better than Aldis/Meanie/Shernoff (can't speak for Page, don't have him) and does the Swoggle figure mean their new factory is able to produce figures quicker, or at least in parallel to other figs? could Series 2 look closer to Adam Bomb in terms of detail? that would be great

That Swoggle is pretty cool, though not for me. Great attention to detail.

The '88 version is better than the original, but both feel a little off. I was hoping they could revisit Dynamite over the span of time it's taken to produce him. The feet are huge, and the overall pose is just odd, imo. I'm just happy there's an official retro of him at all, though, which is why I ordered both.

depending on the skin tone, I've ordered a couple of Snow figures so may pop the arms off and check what it looks like, it might work better

Yeah, his legs do seem to be longer than his torso, and his arms would definitely suit a different pose, maybe the Snow arms, as you say. I wouldn't mind seeing that, actually.

Sorry if this has been discussed -- weren't pre-orders taken for Dynamite Kid at Mattel scale? Any word on what happens to that?
