There's a new Chella Gangrel image on FigureCollections IG, looks pretty sweet. Thank you! I couldn’t remember where I had seen it and wanted to take another look. It’s going away in a few hours so I took a screenshot of their story: It looks nice on card but I’m still not in love with the head. Has anyone attempted a headswap on a Chella figure? Edit: Upon further research, I’m only seeing two heads from Jakks figures…and they’re not the greatest either. The BCA Gangrel is cartoonish but very similar to the Chella head. The TTL head is so much worse than I remember it being. The Maximum Sweat is no better.

doing a headswap on a Chella will be hard, as they don't have the ball/peg style joint, so I doubt it will fit correctly unless you use a LOT of putty and epoxy/glue

IIRC someone on one of the retro figure threads completely disassembled their Blue Meanie Chella figure (it might have been Nick Aldis, but I’m almost certain it was Meanie) and the head not completely hollow. Edit: nope, I lied. It was Aldis. Rowie4life on page 4 of this thread shows Aldis broken down into parts.

I think the Gangrel looks AWESOME. It is closest to the Hasbro style more than most released by Mattel,ZST, and more in my opinion (and just based on photos)

Carding looks great, but the figure isn't the best for me. It's okay, but I guess I was hoping for more.

Chella must have made a complete mess of things. Hopefully is sorted out soon but looks like a while before things line up for the new distributors. Demolition look amazing but don’t think I’ll be springing for them as have the Hasbros and they’re perfect

Demolition look amazing but don’t think I’ll be springing for them as have the Hasbros and they’re perfect I know it's not professional to speak about the previous owners, but I really wish WT could come out and just explain in all honesty what went on as the snippets we've learned have demonstrated some massive failures of the prior owners/management
the fact that it's known that some figures were delayed because the wrong art work (or none at all in some cases) were sent to the factory for design work to begin shows how crazy it was prior to WT stepping in, I'd love to see a #ChellaFiles thread on Twitter in a few months showing us behind the scenes but it won't happen
meanwhile, I'm in the same camp as you - Demo look AWESOME here (I'm a bit disappointed that they basically mirrored them) but this is a good start to the new era, but as I'm not a completionist, I'll be skipping these too as I have the Hasbros and prefer them

If that happened (sending wrong artwork) that’s just basic attention to detail Imo They took on too much at once and imo lost the excitement for it and it went downhill. A few of these companies popped up then mattel announced retro and it immediately cut the potential audience, wrestlers to sign etc in half Like really who’s going to pay for 1 figure when mattel can get you 4 at that price snd while retros ain’t perfect they’re no worse than these other companies and at a significant price reduction

now with the WT takeover for Chella, I'm interested to get a few figures on the horizon, but I'm still waiting for Daddy/Stacks to arrive, plus Al Snow/Gangrel/Luna and the Haku/Tama/bWo set so that's 10 figures already on order... forgive me WT for holding off on ordering anything else from yourselves until I've received at least 60% of my current order list

I think they need to be super customer friendly, accept people won’t purchase more until they get what they ordered etc etc It’s one thing for wt to say that was them, this is us and I get that but trust is easily lost and hard to get back and while the initial errors were not on wt end they unfortunately feel the fallout

My philosophy is to be selfish: it’s my collection, it is what makes me happy, I will likely buy anything that I believe I would have wanted as a child. What the toy makers do annoys me at times but when I finally have something in hand, that feeling far outweighs the frustration I had prior to that. Here is an updated look at the Powers of Pain: www.instagram.com/reel/CnSN8nahaPA/?igshid=MWI4MTIyMDE=

I love Gangrel, but I held off from getting this as it just didn't do anything for me and I'm glad I went that route as I'm still not getting any vibes from this figure. My mate bought it so when he gets it I'll give it a look-see.

I wish they got them sculpted by hand as I think, hand sculpted figures look a lot better.

Still undecided on these and the Powers of Pain, guess it'll depend on how they look painted as at the moment they look a bit too 3d printed. I wish they got them sculpted by hand as I think, hand sculpted figures look a lot better. I think for speed, they're 3D printed to get a feel of what the figures will look like "in hand" based on the art/renders
for a prototype, it's a perfectly fine use of 3D printing rather than a resin sculpt, especially when you consider the artistic skill required for crafting a resin sculpt (which invariably isn't cheap to do) so anyone can knock out a 3D mock-up/prototype, look at it and think "Yeah... that's not gonna work, we need to do ______ to make it look better" and then just chuck that 3D model into the bin and blast out another once they've made amendments
it's a good way to make the design and approval stages completed quicker than waiting for the artists to work their magic and post you their latest sculpt
