Gangrel arrived today.
Pleased with the figure, like the detail and the cup and ring on finger which I didn’t notice before.
Card a bit bent out of shape in one corner but on the whole it’s OK.

I am somewhere beyond frustrated right now but I don’t know who to target that anger towards yet.
My package from Figure Collections wasn’t delivered yesterday. Tracking said “Your item is being held at the *local post office* at 7:25 am on February 2, 2023. This is at the request of the customer.”
I got to that post office and they inform me they haven’t had their grand opening yet (its a new building). Side note - this post office is very dangerous to get to so already it was a risk and an inconvenience. So they send me to another post office. I was there for over half an hour while one of their employees fumbled around and couldn’t find the damn package.
He let me know that messages like that are due to packages being held because there is postage due. If that is the case, Figure Collections owes me big time if they ever want my business again. This is absolutely absurd. It is -17F today and not at all how I wanted to spend my free time. I reached out to FC but haven’t heard back yet.

Usually, in the UK, if postage costs are owed, they either post a card with that information through the letterbox, or message you some kind of way. Luckily for me, my nearest sorting office is a 20 minute walk. I've been pretty lucky lately with postage fees, I used to get them all the time with stuff from the USA. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for what the taxman decides he wants to fleece you on.

Post office has yet to call me back. FC just emailed me and apologized but has no idea what is going on with the post office. Said they have never run into this issue before and postage should be paid correctly like all other packages.
Next step is to leave my mail man a note and ask WTF. I really don’t want to drive down any more dangerous and icy roads for a $25 figure.

Hello all, I’ve been given the honour of carrying on the Wrestling Trader Podcast (formally Chella Toys Podcast) to help with the communication between WT and their customers.
Will post episodes on here if that is cool with you all and share any big news as and when we can.
Podcast will also include interviews with talent who have signed on for figures if they are up for it.
Episodes will be available on Podcast providers every 2 weeks with snippets posted to YouTube. Will also be running a Podcast for the rest of the figure company’s on the alternate week between the WT podcast.

I appreciate some things may not be able to be disclosed for legal or business sensitivity reasons etc but it would be good to have the WT guy(s) on to talk through a bit of the business side of things What happened with chella (if they can legally say) Why they decided to take over Why they kept the name Did they consider just starting their own line Etc etc Like I say conscious some things can’t be said but be interesting to hear what we can

I love that Wtestling Trader have taken over from Chella as it seems things are getting sorted and improved. My only snag is to see the Chella Toys Instagram post still posting about figures. Are Chella still part of the scene in some way? Personally I don't think they should be using that name as its a damaged brand name with negative connotations attached to it.

Are Chella still part of the scene in some way? Personally I don't think they should be using that name as its a damaged brand name with negative connotations attached to it. lets be fair to Luke and the WT team - I suspect that one of the first announcements they'll make via this podcast is that the Chella name is going, and they'll rebrand to something more in line with their own branding
my concern would be just going basic with "Wrestling Trader Toys" (just sounds like the sort of brand name that produced £1.99 He-Man bootleg figures you'd find on a market stall)
likewise, a gimmick name like "Legendary Figures" or something would also sound cheap. I agree, the negativity around "Chella" is too much now, the name needs to go, but I can see whatever they go with, people here may start using "the artist formerly known as Chella" quips

For historical purposes, I want the Chella name to remain.

Thanks for posting this….it’s a real shame, but I don’t like this one at all. So this is an easy pass for me. Real shame as she’s an important character to the Hasbro era.

the women being so far off on scale is the biggest miss of the retros so far. I was trying to explain it to my wife, who doesn't understand toys or wrestling at all, and showed her Bull Nakano next to Hasbro Jake Roberts and her first reaction is the perfect summary "it looks like a completely different toy line". Bull will be the only woman I get, and now stands with the few Mattel girls I have on my Funko shelf, cause she's as much to scale with Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan as she is with Chella/Zombie/Hasbro.
it's a massive shame

I really hope Chella is willing to listen to collectors and remake some of these figures with appropriate changes. I realize the women aren't perfect, but there's also no historical reference for how they'd have looked in Hasbro style. I personally think they shouldn't remake figures, as it'd just take up release slots and resources that could go towards the next releases. I also don't think any of of them are bad enough to make me want to rebuy. Needing to rebuy a "better" product for my collection is a bigger kick to the crotch than just having a so-so first release imo.

The historical argument doesn’t hold up to me. I know that Luna is too small and if she were larger than most males…she would be too big. I think scaling it around the size of a Rude/Flair/Kid or Jake/Tito/Hulk would be the sweet spot.

I agree that it's a shame that the women are so small compared to the other figures. I don't understand the logic for continuing with the smaller scale, and I know Jack from FC is here so maybe he can comment on how this will work going forward?
personally, I'd love to see the same figures, just scaled up a little in size to make them comparable to the male figures. the real fail for Nakano was her hair - if they'd made her figure as a 4.5" and then "shrank" the body by 0.25", and then left her figure at 4.5" tall with the hair, I think it would look better
Luna's figure being the same size is a shame, because it separates them a LOT! and there's more women to come like Gail Kim, so they could really do with getting these sorted asap (maybe the Chelsea Green figure will be better scale? who knows...)
don't forget though, when Chella originally announced these, the women were going to be a different scale because they were planned to be a spin-off line, all in the same scale as one another to make a female-only figure line, so I understand the history, I just don't understand the decision to continue without scaling them up to fit more in line with retros going forward, especially after the Chella debacle ended and new management coming in - it makes sense to put this right now and prevent further figures from getting more criticism from collectors who expect them to line up with the guys
