Does Luna look like a Hasbro? No, but don't really care - need a UK retailer stat and I'll buy.

Hello all, I’ve been given the honour of carrying on the Wrestling Trader Podcast (formally Chella Toys Podcast) to help with the communication between WT and their customers. Will post episodes on here if that is cool with you all and share any big news as and when we can. Podcast will also include interviews with talent who have signed on for figures if they are up for it. Episodes will be available on Podcast providers every 2 weeks with snippets posted to YouTube. Will also be running a Podcast for the rest of the figure company’s on the alternate week between the WT podcast. I love that Wtestling Trader have taken over from Chella as it seems things are getting sorted and improved. My only snag is to see the Chella Toys Instagram post still posting about figures. Are Chella still part of the scene in some way? Personally I don't think they should be using that name as its a damaged brand name with negative connotations attached to it. WT have only just got the log ins to the Chella social Media, expect this to be switched over soon from Chella to the new name for the figures. Chella are not part of the scene apart from passing the info on to WT that they need for the line like contracts etc…

Why anyone has supported these lines still is beyond me. I used to have a full set of hasbros and spent years playing with and collecting them and so far i havent seen one company, even mattel (although the closest) replicate them enough, especially these indie companies to blend in enough with the originals.
Im more of a 6/7in collector now as my main focus and even with some of the stuff announced in that scale I will wait and see how it looks before i order it. (Dynamite kid doesn’t look official enough, it’s literally a mattel bootleg with a generic head) why settle for that since its the only current option?
To much drama, inaccuracies, inconsistencies to bother with any type of preorders. If you “hardcore collectors” would just sit back and breathe for a second and show these companies how you feel with your wallets instead of words maybe the standard would be set a little higher and your expectations wouldn’t be so disappointed in the long run.

I never collected hasbro’s, I couldn’t care less if they don’t match up to them, as long as they release figs of people I like then I’ll support them, I want them to succeed and produce products that WWE and Mattel won’t

Is there any news of shipping for the al snow cards? I ordered all 3 al snows last year with the 2 jay white at the same time. Sure I seen a post a few weeks back saying the variant cards were about to be posted.

Al Snow variant cards are next to be sent, I would imagine in the next week or so judging by the normal in stock to shipping out ratio.

Update on my situation:
After multiple trips and phone calls to several post offices, I finally found out my mail was on a “snow hold.” My wife informed me that we had gotten several notices in the past with instructions to clear our mailbox and driveway. Without divulging too much information, I live in a rural area with routine snow and ice. I have a lovely home on a small piece of land. The road to get to my mailbox is plowed by the county. It is impossible for me to really clear that area any more than it already is. If you can’t deliver mail to my mailbox then quite simply you are saying you can’t drive on that road. There would be no difference.
I tried to explain this to them in person and was met with hostility and ignorance. It is really frustrating to be told the rules by someone who doesn’t understand the situation or how they are not applicable. Even so, I made it a point to deescalate the situation and find a way to resolve it. They were given my contact information YET AGAIN but I never received a call or a note or anything.
Fast forward to just a bit ago and I found all of my missing packages stacked outside of my home and my mail in my mailbox. This postal carrier is either new or over working out here because the conditions for delivery have been completely acceptable on all but 2-3 days in the past year (when we had feet of snow or freezing rain).
Anyway, enough ranting. The good news:
Jack from Figure Collections was great with communicating with me including reaching out on his own. It was simple and professional. The package was in great condition as well despite the extra handling and the “rough” elements.
The bad news: The bubble was starting to come off. Not at all falling but it was more or less open on one side. Also I noticed some large indents in the card just now.
Edit: Bubble came off while I was taking photos of the figure prior to opening.
As for Gangrel himself - the figure looks and feels better than I expected. He scales pretty well with the Hasbro figures and I’m happy overall. Later I will post pictures of him next to Hasbro, Mattel, and ZST figures.

Sorry for that Mailbox Situation. At least you seem to have some Land which is very expensive where i am. P.S. Got my Hornswoggle and Al Snow from Wrestling Trader yesterday. Gangrel is on the way. They both look cool. I havent unboxed them to really check they out cause i moved over with my business stuff from a the City to my house and the Brand New showcase is Not done yet. Can t wait to put them All together. Luna is different....but too Important for my collection to Not get her. Can she be ordered already?

Yeh I’ve just got my email, the 5 I’m owed are on the way then I’m fully caught up to what I ordered. Not sure if I’m gonna continue with chella to be honest but I’m glad I’ve got what I’m owed.

I get the hesitation to continue with a tarnished brand/name, but look at it this way - once you receive your parcel, you're up to date on all orders right?
once they've finished shipping out the remaining Al Snows, as well as any legacy Big Daddy/Adam Bomb/Giant Haystacks figures that may have been ordered alongside the Snow figures, theoretically all of the Chella figures to date will have been shipped and in hands, so they can start March with a clean slate for all new shipments down the line
it's taken a while, but we've got there - those of us who were waiting for figures like Al Snow (myself included) will now be waiting on just Greg and Series 2 (due at some point in the next few months I believe?) in terms of pre-orders to date, as well as any Luna orders (I think I raised mine via FC directly, not sure Wrestling Trader ever had it as an option?) so without a big backlog to work through, the next few months worth of new stock/releases should be much quicker for WT to ship new figures out to customers.
I get that people aren't happy with some of the designs/styles for the figures to date, but since Wrestling Trader's takeover of the Chella "manufacturing" side, there has been some positive changes with the figure designs such as Greg and the Powers of Pain figures, so that's definitely a positive there, any if the new management can get manufactured figures that more closely match the designs Tippy is making, it's happy days all round for collectors!

My biggest want right now from Chella is Haku. Once I have him and Bundy (from ZST), I will be a happy camper and feel more complete in my collection. There are many more I want over time but those haven’t even made it to the preorder stage.
Currently I think I’m waiting on Haku from Chella, Larry Z from Rush, Bundy/Andre/Raven from ZST, and Smoke Train (Godfather) from G&G.

Nothing against the company or the figures, I like all I’ve got so far but I like to have complete collections as I have with hasbro, galoob and now Mattel retro but chella/wrestling trader have many variants already that I can’t keep up with.

I'm not a completionist (though I only need 2 Hasbros and 1 Retro for the entire collection LOL!) so I don't have that headache
I just like having figures which fit with the Hasbros/Retros, and Chella's figures are the closest to a reasonably priced retro styled figure (I'm not paying $50 again for a single figure) that isn't in line for a Mattel makeover
I've happily skipped on a few Chella figures knowing "Nah, I don't need that" but can understand your concern if you need a complete collection, I'd say just limit them to the talent you like going forward - 1) it saves money, and 2) they're not going to be worth much in future, the value of wrestling figures from any independent brand is going to decrease over time, not increase, as they're not "official" so people who don't collect bootlegs aren't going to pay over the odds for what's essentially a bootleg

I really hope Chella is willing to listen to collectors and remake some of these figures with appropriate changes. I realize the women aren't perfect, but there's also no historical reference for how they'd have looked in Hasbro style. I personally think they shouldn't remake figures, as it'd just take up release slots and resources that could go towards the next releases. I also don't think any of of them are bad enough to make me want to rebuy. Needing to rebuy a "better" product for my collection is a bigger kick to the crotch than just having a so-so first release imo. I'm okay with certain figures getting a reboot, tbh. The new Dynamite kid they showed as part of the Bulldogs two-pack looks excellent, for instance.
