I'm pysched for BCAs -- but hope it doesn't distract Chella from the quality of it's retro line I think it's gonna benefit it more than anything, because potentially it could attract more signings with them having three lines. I think it'll be a good thing!
If they don't hire more staff and have 3 lines, I'm worried they can't keep up the quality despite their best intentions. We'll see I guess

Love the response. Can't wait to see what you guys have come up with. Congrats on having more online buzz for you line than any other indy fig company besides (and sometimes even exceeding Jazzwares)

Not sure what they’re going for but this misses the mark imo Only think I can think is because of the exaggerated mouth open pose? |

I get the feeling this is going to end up being too tall like the Hayabusa and Jay White. Something about the body seems off. I think the body might be too thick from the knees up and the lack of neck is adding to that effect. It's not awful, but the final height is going to be the deciding factor for me whether I buy it or not. Hayabusa was too tall and the Jay White I just received is even slightly taller than Hayabusa.

I really like it, think it looks great! I get the lack of neck, but I think I’ll give that a pass with all the detail on the shirt and tights. It looks a wee bit too bulky though for Al Snow.

Wish they would have gone with 98 Al instead of 99. Could have fit with the ECW stuff. Maybe they're doing Bob Holly too and this will make more sense soon? He got a BCA, TTL and CS figure in that attire. Just feels like the wrong Al for this style when Chella is doing the BWO and Zombie is doing a bunch of ECW guys.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. It’s a shame, as it’s a bit of a sticking point for me. I love the look of the figures; I think they do a good job of having a cartoony vibe like the hasbros did - as opposed to the other new line which, whilst still looking good in general, do look noticeably more detailed/ realistic. But I think it’s fair to say none of the retro style figures, including Mattel’s, have quite hit the mark - which isn’t to say they aren’t great in their own right, but just highlights for me how unique and special the original hasbros are. I just really hope the slight oversizing is scaled down a bit by the time Haku is released….I’ll be gutted if he ends up the same height as Andre the Giant. 😂 |

The proto looked way better. I figured id be diving down an ecw rabbithole on these but i wont be if it means i gotta pay a fortune for something im not happy with. To be fair, mattels, for the most part, are the equivalent of mcdonalds toys from back in the day. But at least theyre a bit cheaper. I dunno

I think that’s why they went with no neck - with the exaggerated face sculpt adding a neck would increase the height further |
