Review and pics of first in-hand AEW Bubbly Jericho! This AM a little bit of the bubbly arrived and I’m very impressed. I think we are in good hands with this line. A few kinks need to be worked out but all in all we are in for a great! Packaging: 3/4 It’s such a fun and cool package no complaints but if it were Mattel you know there would be some sort of slip case or window where you can see the figure without removing the package. Sorry MOc collectors only way to see this guy is to open the closed box. Let em breath. Sculpt 3/4 I really like the way they handled the sculpt here body proportion looks good for his current build and it’s the same level of mussels a bit cartoonish in a good way and it blends with Mattel well. The likeness to Chris is theee but it’s burried under bad paint. Scale? So relived! I still don’t believe it would be in scale with Mattel but there ya go. Could not be more perfect. Articulation 4/4 Essentially you are getting better than elite Mattel articulation, with double jointed elbows and knees and pivot torso it’s aligned with the ultimate only the torso is not as lucky. Leg up here for jazzwares. Joints are tight! It’s heavy and quality. Well done! Accessories 4/4 Awesome sculpt with lots of details on all the food and drink, the dip dish comes out of the trey. The belt is amazing too totally on par with Mattel. Same goes for the shirt fits right in with Mattel stuff Paint: 2/4 This is the weak part of the line. Yes his skin is sadly too yellow still. It really just looks off. This needs to be fixed pronto. The good likeness is burried under weird paint on the face. I’ll repaint mine it will look way better after. Deco 4/4 I separated this from paint becuase it’s awesome. The detail on the pants and especially the tats. All the tats are there! How did they manage that? Also cleaner and more detailed tats than anything I’ve seen from Mattel. Overall 3/4 If they got that paint fixed . Wow we would really be in business here! imagizer.imageshack.com

Just adding to the above.
Pure innovation... the belly piece of the torso is soft rubber. Sound weird? Well what this gives you is super smooth posing ball jointed not only on the bottom but on the top too. Best mobility in a torso ever.
We will get some great poses from these figures. I’ll see if I can create a great walls of Jericho in a bit.
Super stoked on this guy and if you’ve seen my 1/6 wrestling customs you know my standard is insanely high.

He can both give AND receive the Walls better than the Mattel Jericho My other AEW figures shipped, the second Chris, Cody and Kenny, so soon I can show how well this belly articulation allows for loses like this as the Mattel one still limits things

I ordered from Ringside.
Actually, on the contrary, the rubber belly is less prone to breaking than anything plastic it’s solid and tough.
In fact compared to Mattel this feels sheer quality nothing brittle
Joints are nice and Clicky too nothings getting loose on these bad boys.

And you've got a shipping notification on Cody, Jericho and Omega from wave 1 already? Also, I enjoyed the review a lot. Can't wait to get mine in hand!

Great review, and really interesting design. I'm excited to check it out - I thought something more flexible would make sense. Mattel's torsos feel so brittle to me.
Is anybody else having trouble viewing the enlarged photos, or is it just on my end?

Stc13 so sorry I always have trouble cutting and pasting the image shack forum codes and getting images to display but on this forum I don’t know what I do wrong. If there’s a formula I can edit the pics
Yeah I was also surprised the regular wave was shipped to me already the rest of you will likely get notice any day.
The only other thing I have on preorder with ringside is the superstar billy graham / r truth elite wave so I suppose it could be those but since ringside our up the rest of the aew images I’m assuming it’s those.

Is what you’re saying that you got the Unrivaled series shipped by RSC?

Having owned this figure for a few hours now and messing around with it I can confidently say the quality is markedly better than the Mattel offerings.
Admittedly I'm not a big wrestling figure fan (they just seem so "toyish" when compared to similar scale and priced brands plus a big part of collecting for me is discussing with other fans and this place kinda sucks) but I have had my fair share of the Elite figures over the years. This figure just seems to have a better overall feel to it.
The rubber mid section was a welcome surprise. It will be interesting to see how it holds up. This figures are clearly not meant to be slammed around some $15 plastic ring.

Looks great especially the scale, like any line the start will have some issues but I'm sure the paint jobs will improve in future releases. Thanks for the images and I'm happy to see another company making good quality figures now onto the legends we will get to compliment what Mattel can't make.

Is there not like a single thread for this figure? Where all the discussion and photos etc go? I don't understand why there are already 4 "review" threads lol

Good looking figure. Really curious to see what that rubber mid section is like. Maybe its lighting or maybe its just me but are the arms a very slight different color than the upper torso?
