January 25th, 2010: Impact Zone in Orlando, FL
2. Daniels defeats Rob Van Dam RVD starts the match off quick, trying to get in a quick flurry at the start, which Daniels attempts to slow down and can't. Succumbing to the flurry, Daniels retreats to the corner where RVD slingshots him out and into the center of the mat. The crowd is really behind RVD as he goes for a second rope leg drop, and lands it across Daniels' neck. Daniels flops around in pain, clutching his neck as RVD gets back up to his feet and taunts to the crowd. Van Dam keeps control for a few minutes longer before Daniels takes back the momentum for himself, slowing down the speed of RVD and putting him in a chin lock. The crowd boos at Daniels, who just scoffs at the crowd before elbowing the back of RVD's head. Daniels lifts up RVD and suplexes him in the ring, continuing a back and fourth match. Ten minutes past and RVD is back in control, climbing his way to the top turnbuckle while Daniels lay motionless on the ground. RVD takes a second to stop at the top turnbuckle to do his "RVD" thumb taunt, giving Daniels enough time to climb back up to his feet and toss RVD off the top rope. But fortunately, Rob lands on his feet and rolls away from Daniels, surprising him. Daniels runs at RVD, who ducks a clothesline, but before Van Dam can respond, he kicked in the stomach by Daniels. Daniels grabs onto RVD's head, shoving it between his thighs and hooking his arms behind his back, before lifting him up and hitting him with Angels Wings. The crowd boos as Daniels hooks up RVD's leg for the three count.
Daniels gets back to his feet, wiping off his face and looking out to the crowd. The referee comes up and raises his hand, but the camera quickly cuts away to Hulk Hogan's office backstage, where we see Hulk Hogan on the phone, but also watching iMPACT on his television. "Boy that Daniels sure is something special, yeah.. I'll have to get back to you." exclaims Hogan, hanging up the phone as Jeff Jarrett walks into the room. "What's up?" asks Hulk Hogan. "Nothing, just coming around to make sure everythings good for ya. Did I interupt a phone call?" Hogan reaches for the remote and turns off his television, giving more attention to Jarrett. "Just more information on the investigation. Seems like they've got a lead, I guess." Jeff nods to himself. "Ahh. Hey, I see you're watching the show, what do you think about our main event we had made for you?" Hogan adjusts in his seat, looking over to Jarrett with a more serious look. "You know, I've been meaning to talk to you about that brother. You need to s-..."
Hogan can't even get a word out as Samoa Joe barges into Hogan's office, carrying a briefcase, leaving the door wide open as he enters. "Listen Hogan, I've had it with the silly games you and your friends are playing. Firstly, how dare you not put me in that match for the #1 contendership last week. I ran through ya' boys, yet you don't even consider me to be in that match. I knew you had it out for me and are trying to keep me away from that World Heavyweight Championship." Hogan stands up out of his chair as Jeff Jarrett steps back, out of the way. "Now listen brother, why would I go awarding you a title opportunity when for all I know, you and Sting are part of the reason I have to have security outside my door, which speaking of, how did you get by them jack?"
Samoa Joe laughs and rubs his jawline, before raising up his briefcase and sitting it on Hogan's desk. "Heh, wouldn't you like to know Hulkster. Now enough of this talk, I don't care what you've got to say. This briefcase here gives me a championship match for the World Heavyweight Championship, and I'm cashing in that match for Against All Odds." "Now hold on one second there," Hogan goes to respond to Samoa Joe but is interrupted by Jeff Jarret. "Hulk, I'll take care of this. That match is already made, you can't just take Abyss' title shot against Kurt Angle that he earned." Samoa Joe looks to the ground and shakes his head. "You just don't get it, do ya Jarrett? I'll beat Abyss, like my boy Sting is gonna do tonight, and I'll beat Kurt Angle, on the same night. I'm walking out of Against All Odds as the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion."
Before Jarrett or Hogan can get another word in, Samoa Joe turns and exits Hogan's office, where laughter can be heard from right to the side of the door. Joe turns around as he leaves, seeing Ken Anderson and Kevin Nash making fun of Samoa Joe, surrounded by security. "Look at me, I'm Heavyweight Champion!" says Kevin Nash in a mocking tone, laughing afterwards. "I can beat anyone up but I can't save my friends!" Ken Anderson follows up with a mocking phrase of his own. Joe raises his head up and shouts over to them. "Ay! Y'all can stay talking all that *BLEEP* behind those security guards, just know if they weren't there, you'd both be joining Scott Hall." Kevin Nash gets riled up at that comment, pointing and yelling at Samoa Joe. Anderson looks over to Nash and tries to calm him down. "Hey, calm down man. Joe ain't nothing to worry about, he's all talk." Joe laughs loudly at the claim that he's all talk. Ken looks back to Joe. "You saw what I did to Sting, Joe. You'll be much easier." Joe raises up his hands and gets into a fighting stance, causing the security guards to get into a defensive formation. "Come out from behind those men and I'll show you how easy I really am." A couple of security guards reach to their sides and pull out tasers, which Joe notices and steps back. "Your time will come Ken, they won't be around you forever." Joe leaves the hallway as iMPACT goes to another commercial break.
3. Doug Williams (w/ Magnus & Rob Terry) defeats Jesse Neal (With Team 3D) Kicking off during the commercial break, Doug Williams takes on Jesse Neal in a quick match. Doug Williams keeps control for the entire match, landing signature move after signature move he has on Neal, without letting up one bit. Jesse Neal tries to get in a few punches, but they don't effect Doug, who responds with his own European upper cuts. Brother Ray and Brother Devon, who are standing at ringside, watch in disappointment as Doug Williams drills Jesse Neal with a running high knee. Williams decides its time to finish the match and lifts back up Jesse Neal and pushes him face first into the corner. Neal bounces off the turnbuckle and stumbles backwards, where Williams is waiting. Doug reaches around his waist, rolling backwards and landing a bridging German suplex. The referee comes in for the pinfall and counts one, two, three.
Doug Williams gets back to his feet as the bell sounds, looking down and wiping his boots on the mat beside Neal. Brother Devon rolls into the ring, taking a quick look at Doug Williams. "Devon eyeing down one half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Doug Williams, who just had an impressive display against their protege Jesse Neal," explains Taz while Devon escorts Neal from the ring. As Team 3D takes away Jesse Neal, the other two members of the British Invasion, Rob Terry and Magnus, enter the ring and join Doug Williams' side. Doug Williams motions for a microphone from a staff member outside of the ring, and is handed one. "Thank you, Team 3D, for that little warm up match with Jesse Neal. I needed that one. Now that it's over, we wanted to address a little something that happened a few weeks ago." Doug Williams takes his microphone and hands it over to Magnus, who steps forward to talk. "A few weeks ago, somebody wanted to call out British Invasion. These somebodies think they want to step into the ring with us two..." Magnus motions to Doug Williams and himself, leaving out Rob Terry. "Matt Morgan... Hernandez... you really think a little call out is going to get you shot at these tag team championships?" Magnus scoffs at the idea, before Matt Morgan's music plays and interrupts them.
Hernandez walks out from the back, followed by Matt Morgan with a microphone. "Magnus, just a second. Before you keep going on, let me try and figure this out." Matt Morgan scratches his head as the British Invasion turn their full attention to the ramp. "What it sounds like you're trying to tell everyone here and trying to tell us, is that you're scared to step in the ring with us." Doug Williams laughs and takes the microphone from Magnus, stepping forward to address the two outside of the ring. "Scared of you two? Don't make me laugh. Look back at who we've beaten since we've won these titles. Beer Money, Team 3D, Moto-.." "Let me stop right there. You've never beaten Hernandez and I, and you never will. Ain't that right Hernandez?" Hernandez nods in agreement, while Magnus and Williams look to Rob Terry, who's crunching his knuckles in the ring. Hernandez is handed the microphone by Matt Morgan, and eyes Rob Terry from the top of the ramp. "How 'bout this? Ya boy right there seems like he wants some action. How about we settle this right now. After I beat ya' boy Rob there, y'all gotta give us a title shot at Against All Odds." The crowd cheers for the idea, as Hernandez and Matt Morgan make their way closer to the ring. British Invasion looks at each other and talks off microphone, before stepping away from Terry. "Hah, we'll take that offer. Good luck." Hernandez enters the ring, across from Rob Terry, as the bell sounds to begin the match.
4. Hernandez (w/ Matt Morgan) defeats Rob Terry (w/ Doug Williams and Magnus) Hernandez starts the match off with a running tackle, which doesn't even knock Terry off of his feet, but stumbles him. Hernandez looks up to Terry and punches him in the jaw a couple times before running back to the ropes and trying for another running tackle. This time, in mid air, Terry catches Hernandez and slams him into the ground. Terry continues on the offensive to a winded Hernandez, following up with another bodyslam into the mat. Terry walks around the ring as Hernandez groans out in pain in the center of the ring. Matt Morgan tries to cheer on his partner from the sidelines, slapping the mat as Hernandez regains his footing. Terry grabs Hernandez by the head and pulls him around, only to catch a punch to the stomach. Terry coughs out from the punch, only to have a forearm strike his jaw. Hernandez gains back the momentum in the match before tossing Rob Terry outside of the ring, towards his fellow British Invasion members. Hernandez wastes no time, running back to the opposite side of the ring, rebounding off the ropes, running back and leaping over the top rope, suicide diving onto the three men. Hernandez gets back to his feet quickly to the sound of a "TNA TNA TNA" chant from the crowd. Terry gets pulled back to his feet and then tossed back into the ring, with Hernandez following right behind him. With Terry and Hernandez back to their feet, they both exchange strikes, until Terry is kicked in the stomach. Terry bends over, allowing Hernandez to lift him up for a delayed vertical suplex. Hernandez successfully connects with the suplex. The British Invasion watch in horror as Hernandez climbs to the top rope while Rob Terry lay out motionless in the ring. Hernandez leaps off the top rope, landing a diving splash on the downed Terry, following it with a successful pinfall.
Doug Williams and Magnus are furious with the finish of the match as Hernandez gets to his feet, holding his stomach in pain from the splash. Matt Morgan enters the ring and they both look over to Williams and Magnus, motioning for the titles around their waist. "It looks like The British Invasion will be defending their TNA World Tag Team Championships against Hernandez and Matt Morgan at Against All Odds, and they don't look happy about it at all!" exclaims Mike Tenay as the camera goes backstage to Christy Hemme.
"Hi everyone, I'm Christy Hemme, here with Desmond Wolfe. Now Desmond, last week we saw you attack Jeff Hardy, costing him his chance at the #1 contendership for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. What was going through your head that caused you to do this?" Desmond Wolfe appears on camera with his sunglasses, standing beside Christy Hemme. Desmond looks over to Christy and removes his sunglasses, before opening his mouth to speak. "Christy, what I did was what had to be done. At Against All Odds, I made it clear I wasn't finished with Jeff Hardy. I also wasn't going to just sit back and let him claim my spotlight, in a four way match that I shoul-.." Christy Hemme screams and runs off as Jeff Hardy jumps Desmond Wolfe from behind. Jeff Hardy pounds on the back of Desmond, who is trying to figure out what's going on, before turning and getting his own shots in. Hardy grabs a hold of Desmond again and throws him at a TV monitor, tipping it over on a table behind them. Jeff walks back over to Desmond, who had then picked up the TV and smacked Jeff Hardy in the face with it. Hardy falls back as Desmond stands over the downed Hardy, dropping the TV to his side as security, Hulk Hogan, and Jeff Jarrett rush over to the scene. Desmond leans over and picks up his sunglasses off the floor, putting them back on, before raising his hands up and walking away as the team checks on Jeff Hardy on the ground, allowing iMPACT to go to a commercial break.
As iMPACT comes back from commercial break, we see AJ Styles and his bodyguard Tomko walking in the back down the hallway. "And there comes AJ Styles, with his problem solver Tomko. Tonight he faces Rhino, in a match where hopes to get the victory and rebuild some momentum he's lost since losing to Kurt Angle," says Taz, as D'Angelo Dinero appears on the screen, leaning on a wall that Styles and Tomko walk past. "AJ, The Pope sees you. The Pope knows what you're doing, and he gets it. It's not something he'd do himself, but he gets it." D'Angelo laughs to himself, before looking back down. Tomko looks over to AJ Styles and then back to Dinero. "Is there a problem here?" asks Tomko in an intimidating manner. Tomko gets directly into the face of Dinero, who stands up from leaning on the wall and looks Tomko directly in the eyes. "Woah AJ, you better teach your man some manners. Back up off The Pope." AJ puts his hand in front of Tomko, motioning him backwards. "Better get that dealt with, before Pope deals with it himself." Tomko grunts at Dinero as AJ walks with him down the rest of the hallway. The camera focuses on Dinero, who shakes it off and goes back to texting on his cell phone as the camera goes back to ringside.
5. Awesome Kong (w/ Hamada) defeats ODB Awesome Kong stares down ODB, who shouts at the start of the match, just generally being her loud self. Awesome Kong doesn't take the shouting, punching ODB directly in the face and taking control of the match at the start. During the match, there are camera cuts backstage to The Beautiful People, watching from their locker room, trying to give pointers to Madison Rayne. Back in the ring, Awesome Kong gets put in the corner by ODB, and gets a knee driven into her stomach a couple times before ODB climbs up to the second rope and attempts a hurricanrana. Awesome Kong powerbombs her in the ring, and goes for a quick pin attempt. At the count of two, ODB gets a shoulder up and is dragged back to her feet instantly. ODB tries to bodyslam Kong, but cannot, saying a few words in disbelief as she stumbles back holding her back. As Awesome Kong locks back up with ODB, Hamada screams out in fear. The camera cuts to Hamada, revealing what has scared her. The camera pans to the floor, showing a tarantula on the mat, crawling towards her. Awesome Kong's attention is brought over to that side of the ring, as she gets over just in time to see Tara leap the barricade and attack Hamada from behind. Awesome Kong looks angrily at what's going on, but turns around just in time to catch ODB going for a roll up. Kong grips ODB by the throat, raising her up and slamming her into the mat with a chokeslam. As Hamada and Tara brawl outside of the ring, Kong pins ODB for the three count.
As the bell sounds, Tara plants Hamada with a chokebomb outside of the ring. Kong gets back to her feet, looking over as Tara picks up the tarantula and walks back up the ramp, smiling and playing with her pet. The camera goes to picture and picture, with The Beautiful People back in their locker room again, but with no sound. We see that Lacey Von Erich is scribbling on a notebook while Velvet Sky points at the television and then back to the notebook. Madison Rayne sits still in her chair, looking afraid of the woman on her screen, Awesome Kong. "That's not the look Madison Rayne should be giving to Awesome Kong, if I was her," says Taz as we go back to the announcers table. "If I'm challenging Awesome Kong at Against All Odds, there's no way I'm going to show any fear going into that match, even if I'm scared to death." Mike Tenay looks back over to his broadcast partner. "Not all people can be you, Taz. I'm sure Madison Rayne and the rest of the Beautiful People will be ready, come February 14th." A graphic on the screen shows Awesome Kong versus Madison Rayne for Against All Odds, before also showing a graphic for Tara versus Hamada. "This just in, after these past two weeks, Tara will face Hamada one on one at Against All Odds as well. And it looks like her pet Poison will be back in her corner again!"
Eric Young's music plays throughout the arena to the chorus of boos. Young walks out from the ramp, in full ring gear, with his Global Championship over his shoulder. "Here comes our Global champion Eric Young. What could he want?" asks Taz as Eric Young enters the ring, and asks for a microphone. He waits for the crowd to simmer down before raising up the microphone to speak. "Well isn't this a surprise? You people boo your Global champion!" Eric Young raises up his Global Championship with a big smile on his face. "And you wonder why I don't defend the championship for you people. And for those who aren't aware, as your Global champion, I will not defend this title against any American or on American soil." The crowd boos loudly at Eric Young for saying he won't defend the title for them. "Keep booing and I won't let you in on a secret." The crowd quiets down a little bit, which causes Eric Young nods his head in response. "I don't know why I'm going this for you ungrateful people, but I'm here to tell everyone that I'm leaving the country." The crowd erupts in cheers. "I'm leaving the country to go wrestle in Japan, where I will defend this Global Championship against the best Japanese wrestlers they've got to offer." The crowd returns to booking Eric Young. "Now i know exactly why I'm doing that. What I meant by not knowing why I'm doing this, is I'm going to defend this Global Championship tonight, one night only, against the best Japanese wrestler TNA Wrestling has to offer." The crowd cheers loudly as Eric Young motions to the ramp, where Akira Raijin's music plays. With the sound of Akira's music, the crowd quiets down as he enters the Impact Zone.
6. Eric Young defeats Akira Raijin retaining the Global Championship Eric Young comes out of the gate quick, with a superkick to Akira, knocking him to the mat. Young wastes no time, picking up Raijin and placing his head between his legs. Eric lifts up Akira and drills him into the mat with a piledriver. The crowd boos heavily as Eric Young covers Akira for the quick pinfall victory.
The crowd continues to boo as Eric Young stands back up to his feet, smiling ear to ear. He is handed the Global Championship, which he puts back over his shoulder. "Ha ha, that's great! Young said he was going to defend the Global Title, but didn't say it was going to be that quick!" Shouts an excited Taz as iMPACT goes to a commercial break.
Returning to iMPACT on Spike TV, we see a recap clip from earlier in the night of Samoa Joe cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase. Following that clip, we go backstage to Jeremy Borash standing with the TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle. "Kurt, as we saw earlier tonight, Samoa Joe has entered himself into your match with Abyss at Against All Odds. Having to face Abyss and Samoa Joe, that's obviously a lot more that's now on your plate. Are you ready for that match, two weeks from Sunday?" Borash passes the microphone over to Kurt Angle, who looks slightly confused at Jeremy. "Am I going to be ready? What kinda question is that? Of course I'm going to be ready to face Abyss and Samoa Joe. As your TNA World Heavyweight Champion, I have to be ready to take on all the challenges that come my way, and I'm damn ready for Against All Odds. Don't get me wrong, Abyss and Samoa Joe are two dangerous guys, but I'm not afraid of taking them both on. I'm ready to go in, hit some Angle Slams, and walk out your TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion." Borash is handed back the microphone. "Well you heard it here folks, Kurt Angle is ready for the challenge that awaits him in just over two weeks at Against All Odds. Back to you guys at ringside."
7. Rhino defeats AJ Styles (w/ Tomko) AJ Styles rolls his shoulders, warming up in the ring as Rhino keeps a close eye on him and Tomko, standing outside with his arms crossed. Rhino and Styles lock up, before AJ gets Rhino into a head lock. Rhino elbows AJ in the stomach, but AJ doesn't let go and shakes his head. Styles slips around to the other side and trips Rhino to the mat, before delivering a couple kicks. Styles keeps control while Rhino is on the ground, but when Rhino gets back up he's able to duck an enziguri and reverse into a slam into the mat. Rhino hits a few knees to the head before lifting Styles back up to his feet. AJ gets whipped to the ropes, where he leaps onto them and moonsaults onto Rhino, taking him down into the ground. Styles and Rhino continue to go back and fourth before the lights begin to flicker. The crowd gets antsy as the flickering stops, but AJ Styles is now distracted by the lights. Tomko turns his back to the ring, keeping an eye out to the fans as Rhino takes the opportunity to roll up AJ Styles. AJ kicks out at two and evasively rolls away. The back and fourth match goes to the outside, where Rhino is chucked into the barricade. Tomko stands away from the match as AJ hits a Pele Kick outside of the ring. As the referee counts to nine, both men get back into the ring, but Styles hits a another Pele Kick to Rhino. Styles picks up Rhino and places his head between his thighs, spreading his arms out at the camera, calling for the Styles Clash, as the lights go pitch black again. "Not again! Someone's gotta stop this!" shouts Mike Tenay. As the lights turn back on, Styles motions Tomko to go check in the back, keeping his back turned to Rhino. Rhino stays in the corner, crouched and ready to strike as Styles turns back around and gets hit by a Gore. "GORE GORE GORE!" shouts the fans, as Rhino stands up to his feet and raises his two hands in the air. AJ crawls back up to his feet, holding his stomach, only to be hit by another Gore. This time, Rhino covers AJ Styles for the three count.
"Rhino has beaten AJ Styles!" Mike Tenay announces to the fans as Rhino stands victorious in the ring. "It looks like the masked man didn't even have to be here to strike again!" Styles crawls out of the ring, looking furious clutching his stomach as Tomko makes his return out to the ring. Tomko doesn't even stop to check on AJ Styles before entering the ring and clubbing Rhino with both of his hands. A worn out Rhino drops to the mat, as AJ looks on in pain from outside of the ring. Tomko leans over to Rhino, picking him back up and powerbombing him into the mat. Rhino lays motionless out in the ring as Tomko rolls back out of the ring, finally checking on AJ Styles. Tomko points to Rhino in the ring, and tries to tell AJ to go back in, but Styles shakes his head and makes his way towards the back, with Tomko following behind him. "It looks like Rhino may have won the battle, but Tomko surely won the war," says Taz. "It wasn't even Rhino that messed with the lights. I'm sure we'll see what happens next week. For now, everyone at home do not change the channel. When we come back from our final commercial break of the evening, we will be seeing our main event of the evening. The Monster Abyss steps into the ring with The Icon Sting."
8. Abyss versus Sting goes to a no contest Abyss and Sting both walk to the center of the ring, meeting in the middle and having a stare down. The crowd is fully behind Sting, chanting for him over and over, as Sting swings the first punch. Abyss catches the fist in the air and shakes his head, which causes Sting to send another punch with his other free hand. As before, Abyss catches his hand in mid air again, this time sending a headbutt back and nailing Sting in the head. Sting falls backwards towards the ropes as Abyss walks him down. Abyss takes early control of the match, landing a hard uppercut which sends Sting into the corner. Abyss sends his shoulder into the stomach of Sting, causing Sting to fall onto his bottom on the mat. Placing his foot onto his throat, Abyss begins to choke Sting on in the corner, as the referee counts to five to stop the choke. Abyss steps back and intimidates the referee, allowing Sting to recoup a bit and drop kick Abyss. Abyss stumbles forward and falls onto the referee, taking him down to the mat. "Sting just inadvertently took out the referee!" Abyss gets back up to his feet and turns back to Sting, who takes back the momentum in the match, eventually getting Abyss into the corner himself. With the referee still down, Sting lands a Stinger Splash on Abyss, before letting him drop onto the mat. Sting looks down as if to go for the pin attempt, but then notices the referee is still down. Rubbing his hands through his hair, Sting walks over to the referee and tries to shake him awake, but he's interrupted by Abyss who catches him around the neck and slams him into the mat. As Abyss beats down Sting, the camera shows Kevin Nash and Ken Anderson walking down the ramp, with Kevin Nash eating from a box of popcorn. Abyss takes a quick glance at the top of the ramp, but pays them no mind as Sting gets back to his feet. Sting runs at Abyss and hits him with a flying forearm, stumbling Abyss back towards the referee, who's getting back towards his feet again. Sting cannot see what's behind Abyss, and runs and smashes him with another flying forearm, knocking Abyss back down onto the referee again.
This is where Ken Anderson slips into the ring, now holding a steel chair. Sting ducks a chair shot, grabbing the chair from Anderson and ripping it from his hands. Sting swings the chair hard, cracking Anderson in the head, causing Nash to drop his popcorn. Sting looks out to the ramp at Nash, holding the steel chair and raises it like he's going to throw it, only for it to be taken away from him from behind by Abyss. Abyss throws the chair to the side grabs Sting by the arm, throwing him at the ropes. As Sting runs back to him, Abyss hits him with the Black Hole Slam. With the referee still knocked down, Anderson and Nash both enter the ring. Anderson is still very wobbly and stays back as Nash tries to motion Abyss out of the ring. Abyss doesn't budge, but then the crowd erupts in a cheer as Samoa Joe comes down from ramp and runs to the ring, stopping to grab Sting's bat before sliding under the bottom rope. With Anderson away from everyone in the ring, Joe firstly goes after Nash with the bat, cracking him in the stomach. Abyss grabs a hold of Joe, attempting to chokeslam him, but Joe gets out of it, smashing Abyss with the bat as well. The referee finally gets back up and sees the mayhem in the ring, calling for the bell. The commotion continues as Sting gets back to his feet, and joins Joe by going after Ken Anderson. Anderson slips out of the ring though, which allows Sting to turn his attention back to Kevin Nash.
With Joe fighting Abyss and Sting fighting Nash, Anderson makes his way all the way back to the top of the ramp, meeting with the arriving security team, Hulk Hogan, and Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett checks on Anderson before pointing the security team to the ring while Hogan looks on. As the security team gets closer to the ring, Joe drops the bat and follows Sting out of the ring, where they leap over the barricade. It's clear that the security team is only here for them, as they don't bother with Abyss, who already exited the ring and was heading to the back, and Kevin Nash, who currently is in the ring, only following Joe and Sting. Joe and Sting retreat from the security team through the crowd as Hulk Hogan, Jeff Jarrett, and Ken Anderson get back into the ring. Hogan checks on Nash with Anderson as Jeff Jarrett picks up the black baseball bat from the center of the ring. The final shot of iMPACT is the four men, Hogan, Nash, Anderson, and Jarrett standing together in the ring looking off towards Joe and Sting, as iMPACT fades to black.
"You know who I am, but you don't know why I'm here." TNA iMPACT on Spike TV opens up to a video package highlighting the previous weeks show, mostly focusing on Samoa Joe and the debut of Ken Anderson. The video cuts between the in ring promo of Anderson and Kevin Nash and video of Genesis from when Ken took out Sting. Samoa Joe interrupting the two and being kicked out of the arena is shown next, before cutting to the main event of last week's iMPACT, Sting vs Ken Anderson. Highlights of the match are shown before we see Anderson's low blow and pinfall victory, followed by a bloody beating to Sting. The final images we see before going into the live arena are pictures of Samoa Joe running into the ring to save Sting, causing Nash and Anderson to retreat.
"Welcome everybody to TNA iMPACT, tonight's going to be a great show for you viewers at home, and we're going to kick it off right now!" announces Mike Tenay, as the X-Division champion Brian Kendrick's music plays. Kendrick slowly enters the Impact Zone, draped with his championship around his waist. The crowd boos Brian Kendrick as he walks out to the ring with his arms spread out, holding a microphone in his hand. "Here's our X-Division champion Brian Kendrick!" exclaims Taz. "This crowd surely doesn't like this guy, especially when he left the fan favorite Amazing Red lying in his own blood just two weeks ago at Genesis." Kendrick gets into the ring and walks to the center. "Last week, Kendrick told the entire roster to be ready for him, well let's see what he has in store for us!" Kendrick paces a bit, with a confident look on his face, before raising up the microphone to his mouth to speak.
"Hold on, hold on!" Brian Kendrick frantically runs to the camera in the ring with his hand out, as if to stop it. "Don't change the channel! Your eyes aren't deceiving you, X-Division fans, your savior has arrived. I shouldn't have to introduce myself, but I'm sure a lot of you fans at home aren't used to seeing the X-Division on Monday Nights. You're used to seeing all of your "favorite" X-Divison wrestlers like Consequences Creed and Akira whatever on Fridays, on Xplosion. Well this ain't Xplosion baby. My name is Brian Kendrick..." The crowd interupts Brian Kendrick with booing, causing him to smile before continuing his talk. "My name is Brian Kendrick, and I have a plan. At Genesis my plan began to bring this joke of a division to the mainstream. Tonight, that plan continues by ridding the division of Suicide." The crowd cheers for Suicide, causing Brian Kendrick to shake his head at the crowd. "The fact you're cheering that man is the reason I'm doing this." Brian Kendrick removes his jacket and tosses it to the side, while handing the X-Division Championship over to the referee in the ring. Kendrick hops back and fourth in the ring as the lights dim to darkness and Suicide's music plays. A spotlight shines off the back corner of the Impact Zone, out of the sight of Kendrick, revealing Suicide hanging on a cord, swinging his way into the ring. The crowd erupts in cheers as he lands in the ring behind Kendrick and drop kicks Brian Kendrick in the back, causing the match to begin.
1. Brian Kendrick defeats Suicide "Looks like Suicide wasn't taking too kindly to the words of our so called savior." Suicide runs to the ropes and rebounds off of them, drilling Kendrick in the face as he tries to stand back up. The crowd loves the energy from Suicide, who continues to keep Kendrick down with quick kicks and knees. Suicide finishes off with his kicks before lifting up Kendrick and attempting a DDT. Brian pulls his head out from Suicide's pit and delivers a few quick strikes before landing a Hurricanrana. Kendrick takes back control of the match, halting any chance at a comeback from Suicide, before bringing him to the corner turnbuckle. Kendrick runs up the turnbuckle with Suicide's head and lands his finishing manuever, Sliced Bread #2. Kendrick pops back up this feet with a big smile on his face, before grabbing a hold of Suicide and pulling him towards center of the ring. Kendrick does a throat cut taunt before climbing onto him for a camel clutch. "I told you! I always keep my promises!" Kendrick reaches down underneath Suicide's chin, as if he's going for the clutch, but instead digs his hands into Suicide's mask, and rips it completely off. "Is that, is that Kazarian?" The crowd boos Kendrick loudly as he gets off from Suicide, now revealed to be Kazarian, and rolls him onto his back for the pinfall.
"Suicide is dead!" shouts the victor of the match, Brian Kendrick, as he is handed back his X-Division championship. Kendrick walks to the corner turnbuckle, climbing up to the top and raising up both the X-Division championship and the mask of Suicide, to the sound of the crowds boos. Those boos do turn into cheers though as Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin come sprinting out from the back to try and get to Brian Kendrick, who notices them coming and escapes the ring. Sabin goes and checks on Kazarian as Shelley runs after Kendrick, who has now made his way into the fans. Kendrick stops and waits for Shelley, who goes for a clothesline but Brian ducks it, before smashing Shelley in the face with the X-Division championship. Sabin looks over at his downed teammate as Kendrick stands victorious, again raising up the X-Division championship and yelling at Sabin as iMPACT goes backstage.
"Oh Kurt Angle, you don't know what you've got coming to you at Against All Odds," Abyss laughs as the camera shows him backstage in a dimly lit room with red lighting. "There's a reason they call me The Monster." Past clips play, highlighting the destruction and carnage Abyss has caused in the past, with the focus being on his use of Janice, and his previous barbed wire massacre match with Rhino. "Kurt, you might call yourself the best wrestler in the world, but when I step into the ring with you... There won't be any wrestling!" Abyss laughs hysterically while gripping at his own mask and then rubbing his hair. "I'm not going to just take your belt... Oh no! I'm going to take away your career Kurt!" Abyss stops messing with his hair before looking at the camera grabbing it with both hands, throwing it to the side, sending us back to the Impact Zone.
"Some serious words from the challenger to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, wouldn't you say so Taz?" Asks Mike Tenay as we see our broadcast team for the first time tonight. "Boy if I'm Kurt Angle, there's one place I don't want to be right now, and it's here in the Impact Zone, two weeks from Sunday at Against All Odds. Abyss seems ready brutalize his way to that championship!" Mike Tenay shuffles some papers before looking back to the camera, after looking at Taz. "Ain't that the truth. Now, tonight folks we've got an action packed show in store for you. We already saw Brian Kendrick unmask Suicide, revealing his true identity as former TNA Star Kazarian. We also just got done seeing Abyss let Kurt Angle know that he better be ready for him come Against All Odds. Well, Kurt Angle better be ready to keep an eye on tonight's main event, as I'm just being informed directly from Hulk Hogan's committee that Abyss will face off one on one against Sting. That's not all, coming up next we'll see Rob Van Dam and Daniels, both coming off of a loss from last weeks main event #1 contendership match, face off against each other." Taz steps in, "Both men really need to get that momentum back. I don't really know who's going to win this one, but I can't wait!" iMPACT fades out into it's first commercial break of the night, following Taz's final sentence.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As iMPACT comes back from commercial break, we see AJ Styles and his bodyguard Tomko walking in the back down the hallway.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Returning to iMPACT on Spike TV, we see a recap clip from earlier in the night of Samoa Joe cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
